Besides the food, everything
The food:
1.Dinner - Small portions expensive prices taste ok
2. Breakfast - very limited buffet

Such a beautiful location with bungalows on the lake edge. The resort was well spaced so was quiet and peaceful . The small beach and pool were great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. My partner is coeliac and needed gluten free meals which the staff were very thoughtful about supplying. Meals were excellent with plenty of variety.
I would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to return to Huahine
Don't agree with 2 cats wandering through the restaurant area.

The room was very expensive and breakfast was not included. Theycharged $35 pp for breakfast do we passed
No gym or any activities.
The hotel charged $ 74 for Rt to the airport which is 5 minute away!

this resort is a step back in time- when the pace was leisurely and people cared about each other!
There is something magical about the stay. don't expect 5 star polish and ameneties, but do expect a generous ecclectic resort.
nothing. It's all about expectations. expect a tropical vacation with resort services, but in an elegant and non-hurried way.

Breakfast was excellent. Good choice nicely presented.
Location fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere.Staff very friendly and helpful. Very sustainable - care about their enviroment.
Easy walk to the village. Beautiful island please look after it and don't let anyone spoil it!
Nothing.

The location is great - close to town. The gardens were stunning. Food was great at the restaurant, especially the desserts! The beach and pool were delightful. Lake bungalows are spacious and well laid out. The archaeological sites and museum make this property quite unique. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
They are adding private pools to many of their garden bungalows- we were near the construction which began before 7am. I’m sure once the construction is done it will be more peaceful but it was hard to sleep through the sound of power tools a few feet away.
Also use a flashlight while walking around at night as there are many land crabs scuttling about - some are pretty big and will not necessarily move away from you as you approach.
Stone tiles on the lake bridge have come loose and create uneven footing at times.

This is a boutique hotel, with awareness to Lapita pottery - you can read about it on their website. The staff were friendly on check in, our driver Ari was a genuine friendly local who tried his best to speak English to us! There were really friendly airport staff who called the hotel for our pick up! Our bungalow was lovely and spacious. Loved the lake view and is close to the beach. We ate dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it. There were "visitors" in the restaurant (miaowing visitors) who were going from table to table for food! Great for those who love cats! We enjoyed the local show and very friendly restaurant staff. Enjoyed our stay in Huahine and may return to this place again!
The bed could have had a more comfortable mattress. Also, we couldn't switch the main light off in the centre of the room, so we had to take the card out, but that also turned off the air conditioner! I had to turn the air con back on in the early hours of the morning - but had to sleep with the main light on! There was no shower cap or toothbrush, etc. Would have expected these extra conveniences as we paid $660 per night! Expensive, but then nothing is cheap in Tahiti!! It was the only hotel left for us to book. Wifi reception not the best.

location
needs repair. screening in outdoor area would be a huge improvement since the mosquitos were so bad.
3.5
good location, close to the airport. room was big and comfortable.
the airport transfers were super expensive for the distance.
4.0
spacious bungalows over lake - nice views of lake - access to sandy beach which was deep enough to swim
As it is surrounded by beautiful vegetation and a lake there are voracious mosquitos

Nice little beach, and pool. Good food and bar. Beds were comfortable, and room cleaned daily. Nice to have pharmacy & grocery stores short walk away.
Did not have clean towels and wash cloths available on several days of our 4-night stay, despite asking for them. Also, the shower was difficult and unpredictable to adjust, and there was no way to lock sliding doors to exterior deck.

Upon arriving the very first day, we got a really nice flower lei and a glass of refreshing fruit juice, which was a nice touch, and the lady receptionist was friendly. We saw several times during our stay and she was always very professional and pleasant. We also arranged an excursion by boat with Huahine Nautique through the reception and had a fantastic time!
The location of the hotel itself is amazing. Just a few minutes ride from the airport, with access to food trucks, restaurants and, most importantly, a big supermarket just a few minutes walk away through the beach or even the road, although the beach walk is much nicer and quicker. The white sandy beach is beautiful but what really made me go 'wow!' was the sea just off the beach. A blue I've rarely seen so close to the beach itself. Blindingly beautiful!
Because of the hotel's proximity to the supermarket, we ended up never having to eat at the hotel restaurant. The bedroom has a coffee making facility with a water boiler, instant coffee, tea and sugar, which we used to make coffee in the morning.
As for the supermarket, it has a hot food section near the entrance with sandwiches (the chicken and fries baguette is so good!) and other hot food options. Sundays are especially good for trying out firi firis, the Tahitian version of fried donuts made with coconut milk. Delicious! Aside from the hot food section, it has everything else you might need, from Australian cookies, to French imported canned goods and Tahitian monoi, pareu, yogurt, and much, much more. No review can do this supermarket justice. It's an experience in and of itself.
Back to the hotel, although our bungalow was amazing, with the biggest bathroom sink I'd ever seen, a rain and massage shower installation, we almost thought the bungalow was haunted when we pstarted hearing like an old man's voice coming out of the wall behind the desk where the coffee making facility is.
We weren't wowed by the aging infrastructure, the smelly stagnant water, the high rate we had to pay didn't justify our experience.

Nature around, lake, fishes, really natural nature.
Extremly warned out Hotel. No beach towel for us (“oops, I don’t have” - twice), breakfast really poor - friuts with taste of mold, pasteries with taste of fat. In our room didn’t work sewage, minisafe, TV. After You had shower, water from that comes to your living room…..

I loved the location, the staff were very attentive and the design of the lake villas. We very much enjoyed our time there!
The lodges we’re looking a little dated. Broken stool, rotten wood where the water off shower hits it. A few other things also. It didn’t detract from our stay but will probably need a little refurbishment in the next couple of year.

The bungalow was gorgeous and peaceful, spacious, unusual.
Difficult to arrange activities, fairly remote, unreliable wifi with very low band-width so it was certainly not possible to work from there or make important phone calls.
3.0
grounds are beautiful. Location is very good. Restaurant at dinner is very good.
pool needs resurfacing. Hours of operation of the restaurant/bar are limited. Breakfast is marginal to a poor value if paying outright. Pillows and shower need improving. Internet is slow.
3.5
Location was great for renting a car or walking into town and the lakeside bungalows are huge with neat details.
It shows signs of wear as others have noted. It’s not terrible but needs so updating and it would be a GREAT hotel.
The airport transfer is expensive. They quoted $22/p one way. I secured a taxi for $17 one way for two of us instead.
When I got my bill at the end of the stay, there was a line item for the booking.com “commission” which I have never seen at any hotel. The total cost added up to what was quoted for the reservation online, but it felt weird for me to outright pay for a website’s commission on top of my room rate and incidentals.

Room was spacious and hotel conveniently located to the city center for grabbing groceries or having alternate food options. Bike rental is available from the Eurocar rental location at the turn for the hotel off the main road (~5 min walk) and is a great way to see Huahine.
It was a bit awkward having to walk through the restaurant to access the pool & beach and there was a termite issue in the room where a fine wood dust covered the sheets in the morning. Both pretty minor given the location, general accommodations and value.
4.5
Very good location
Nice food at the restaurant
Rooms are nice as well, quite new
Honeymoon drink offered
Covid19 is used as an excuse to reduce the level of services
Lack of a warm welcome compared to other hotels
