You cannot get closer to the sea and the hotel is a beautiful old tower house. Georgina is a gem, as is her baking. Keep the shutters ajar and you can go to sleep listening to the sound of the sea.
The property is old, the bathroom is in a necessary small place, but those with ample posteriors might find the toilet a squeeze.

Mavromichalai was a wonderful hotel in which to pass a few nights of our holiday in the Peloponnese. Giorgia and her team were very lovely and couldn't have been more gracious. Our room was huge, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable.
There are only a couple of small things which are really not the fault of the hotel but are worthwhile to note. First of all, the driving/parking situation in Limeni is very difficult. You can usually find parking somewhere along the road near the hotel but sometimes you have to walk quite a way. There is constant traffic and makes walking rather tricky. Additionally since the hotel is a historic property and not many alterations can be made to it, there is no water access from the space so you need to go to the public swimming areas or rent chairs at a hotel down the road. All in all it's really no trouble and the space is lovely.

Mavromichalai is a historic building turned to a small yet, impressive hotel. Located at the center of Limeni shoreline, this accommodation offers spectacular vistas of the bay. Sunset was absolutely awesome! Nice, clean, well set rooms provide for the comfortable accommodation of the traveler who is beyond the beaten path.
Last but not least, Ms. Georgia and her staff provide outstanding service and advice on what to see, do and dine in the area. We are grateful for her suggestions and the warmth of her hospitality!
The room we stayed in was on the small side; clearly understood for this is an historic stone-build accommodation in which internal walls that cannot be re-established..

The location and the hotel were very good, I had a direct window to the sea. The staff was very nice and helpful providing tips on restaurants etc.
Breakfast could have been better, for instance with fresh orange juice.

Amazing staff and hospitality. Georgua made a big difference. If it wasn t for her it would not have been the same. She prepared breakfast all home made and was always with a smile.
The only thing I could say is it would have been nice if there was a bigger lobby as it was raining when we were there and had to stay inside.

Lovely place, excellent location, magnificent clean room, great breakfast. I really value that the owners respect such a historical building without making changes that would change its architecture and character. Our hostess, Georgia, is an amazing person and a great cook-she alone is a reason to visit the place.

Can´t beat this place !!! Amazing town , beautiful historic hotel/tower , great breakfast and overall excellent service from friendly Georgia .

Compliments to Georgia and the other ladies, they serve a great breakfast and keep the property and rooms in great shape. Limeni is an isolated little village with a great sea-side location and views. However there is enough nearby, in fact beaches within walking distance and some wonderful local restaurants. So all this makes for a wonderful stay. Areopolis, a larger town is not too far off and one can drive into the rest of the Mani region from here.
Mavromichalai is a lovely heritage property, but it is more like a B&B rather than a hotel. If this is understood and is the expectation, then there is no problem.

The setting was beautiful and the room had sea views on two sides. Georgia was delightful and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Swimming off the rocks in Limeni was such a pleasure.
I think it is a little expensive. As others have pointed out, access down to the sea from the hotel would be great, as would a bit more comfortable outside seating (eg loungers).

Everything is wonderful! Maybe a luggage rack in the room?

Amazing breakfast with local products. The morning view of Limeni is something worthy. Very clean and the customer service is admirable. They gave us all the help and instructions that was needed for the region , restaurants etc.

Unbeatable views from a gorgeous, well-preserved historic building! Georgia was an exceptional host and really elevated our stay from a typical hotel stay with her knowledge of the area, thoughtfulness and professionalism. Great breakfast!
Our bathroom was a little dated. It would be great if there were screens on the windows, but not sure if that's feasible as it's a historic building.

It is historical, romantic and beautifully arranged. And very comfortable , beds are excellent!
the terrasse is a bit tiny and there is no access to the sea (though it is very close and easy to reach, not even 100 m)

The room was right above the sea, with an amazing sunset view and the great sound of the sea during the night. The location is also great, in the center of everything and facing all the great view of the other picturesque buildings & the bay. It also has a very relaxing shared space terrace. If you are a biy claustrophobic I would not recommend it, as the ceilings are low and the rooms are small, but it makes sense because it is vuiled in the traditional way in a preserved historic building.
The one thing that was not good and needs improvement was that the bathroom had an intense weird smell, maybe from the drain which was very unpleasant.

Perfect location with sea view to Limeni. Comfort beds and sleep. Excellent breakfast.
Car parking could be better. But it’s an issue for all hotels of the place.

Exceptional historic hotel. Professional and friendly staff. Ultra convenient, literally at the centre of Limeni, you can walk to everywhere on foot. Spotlessly clean and above all a majestic view from the windows of your room! We were charmed!
Car parking is not available, generally in Limeni. During peak seasons this may prove inconvenient.

It’s a very good restaurant with competent service personnel. I made my girlfriend a wedding proposal and I called them the day before so they would organize a good table.
They organized a nice bouquet of flowers fore me and made even a little present for my fiance.
The price is expensive but it’s worth. Perfect prepared fish in a normally sized portion.
