4.5
The hotel is very charming with its courtyards, large kitchen, and parlor area. I loved the antiques used as decor throughout the hotel, giving one a feeling of going back in time. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
I wish I knew Spanish. One staff person was pretty fluent in English, but the other one who didn't speak much English was very nice and tried to be helpful also. We tried to communicate using a translation app on my iPhone, and that worked well if we typed in sentences, but not when we tried to speak into the phone.

Breakfast was authentic and very good.
Hotel is quiet and safe but location is 3 blocks+ walking distance from Cathedral and Central Plaza.

Nicely, decorated, comfortable and the best hot shower in Mexico. Pet friendly. Ask for a room in back because the rooms near reception are somewhat noisy.

Lovely home, well-furnished rooms, friendly staff, maybe the best chilaquiles of my whole trip! I picked this place because it was close (20-minute walk) to the Chepe train station, but it happened to be a lovely place to stay in general.

The antiques were great and the staff very helpful
