Enjoyed our stay at this house over July 4th weekend. Close to the lake and trailheads

Property was very good, but access to beaches was not.

This home is really great for a big group or in our case, family. Minutes from the lake and golf courses. We had a great weekend. I'd highly recommend and definitly come back to this location.
10.0 / 10.0
The house is modern and fun with several hangout spaces -- the hot tub was soothing nestled under beautiful trees, the pool table was fun for hanging out, the kitchen was modern and cool for cooking and mingling, and the third-floor couch area was perfect for games. Please just note you'll want to bring your own towels as I didn't see extra towels for hot tub use and the cleaning fee is very hefty. If I'm being overly critical, the toilet paper was very cheap for the price you're paying for your stay lol.
8.0 / 10.0
Great location for resort and amenities. Somewhat limited parking when driveway covered in snow. Huge plus it’s a big property which is not common. Minus star as we found a clump of hair on the wall, one of shower doors in bathroom could not be closed fully, there was not enough towels to accommodate full capacity and did I mention a grant in cleaning fee?
4.0 / 10.0
We liked the house but the overall quality of the rental home doesn't qualify such high rates. One can avail of much better vacation home at such high fees.
We had experienced few issues.
Neighbor's dog ran into our premise and attacked us. It's not safe to walk outside.
Clothing Washer, Garbage Disposal didn't work.
No hand soap.
Extremely low quality bath soap.
Its difficult to unlock the keys and open the door.
No cleaning materials except for an old vacuum cleaner.
If the above issues are addressed and the houses is regularly maintained, then I am sure it will offer an amazing experience to the tourists.

Excellent property and prime location - really enjoyed our stay.
Needs improvement though in terms of upgrading things like couches & appliances, and availability of supplies (dishwasher detergent, expired kitchen supplies, etc.)

The property was as listed. Great location near multiple beaches, grocery store and restaurants. The kitchen was spacious and filled with necessities. Lots of deck space to enjoy hanging out on. There were 3 families in our party so we split the 6 bedrooms and 3 baths into 2 bedrooms and one bath per family, which worked well. Having the hot tub was a plus. A few things could use updating but nothing that impeded our stay! Bring extra towels.

More than enough room for a large group. Really enjoyed the pool table & hot tub.Great location, close to ski resorts, and a short drive to the lake. Also, our original booking date was in the middle of a very bad storm and unsafe driving conditions, and they allowed us to reschedule. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying at this property. The home was spacious, the combined kitchen/living room area was great for hanging out and eating dinner together.
We chose this property because of how close it is to Northstar and we were not disappointed! The home was about a 30 minute drive from Northstar and it was from the opposite of direction of traffic (You would arrive from the Nevada side and NOT i80 side).
The jacuzzi was especially great after a long day of snowboarding and all the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
I can't recommend this property enough!

Great Property, Great House, Great Stay
Incredible experience. We had one small issue when cooking breakfast somehow initiated the fire alarm of which the manager did not know the correct code to disengage the fire alarm, but that should be fixed for the next guest! Irrespective of that, highly recommended!

Reviewer Comments:
The location and size of the property was perfect for our large family gathering. Unfortunately, the condition of the property was disappointing. Although it seemed to be well cleaned, it has not been well cared for by the owners/property managers. In fact, it was suggested by the PM that our expectations should be adjusted since the property is not high-end. Very disappointing.

we stayed at 416 CC Drive for a wedding. The house was close to the venue, and The house is showing wear and tear, and is in need of some maintenance, but for the price, the blemishes were acceptable.

Family Christmas
While the house is of good size for the number of people we had it needs to be updated. It is very poorly stocked. Limited number of bath towels, not enough cookware, not enough tea towels. Bedroom curtains and bed covers are faded and drabby. Cook top needs maintenance and wall oven temp fluctuates. Master bedroom on second floor and entrance billiard room is very cold. The 5th bathroom is a half bath and resembles an outhouse. Low hot water in shower and shower knobs & kitchen faucet need repair. Overall entire house needs some serious upgrading.

This house needs serious maintenance. Safety issues
The knobs on the burner does not work on this gas stove . We did not realize until next morning the gas stove burner was still on. One of the steps is loose and moves when you are walking down stairs. I emailed the company about these issues and more but ha e never heard back

Pictures made it look better than it really was
Overall we were disappointed in this rental. For the price our party did not feel like It was justified. The property is very old and not very clean. The pictures made it look light and bright but in reality it was dark, even in the day time. The tables, chairs, couches were very worn and needed replacement. There were raised nails on the porch and a child sliced her foot on a nail that was 1.5in above the wood! The hot tub was not user friendly and did not work well. I never ever write reviews but for the price of this place I felt like I needed to say something. This place needs a major makeover and could be really nice but the neglect of this place really shows. Thank you for reading.

Huge house!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. My friends joked that house was as big as a frat mansion. We had a nice large group and the number of bedrooms were perfect for us. The check in and check out process was super easy. Would highly recommend this house and we would love to come again!

Nice place to stay for large gathering
Overall, a nice place to stay on the north side. Location is 10 minute from Mt Rose sledding area and King's beach. Some stats online like #of bathrooms and check-in and check-out time are not the same but clarify with the property management. Glass panels covering on the stair rails are kind of dangerous for small kids though. Carpet might need to replace. Otherwise, place is perfect for us. Recommended because of location and great support from property management.

As described by the owner and other reviewers
This house was an excellent location- close to the grocery story, the beach, and good hiking locations. As described in some other reviews, the house was a bit outdated, but overall it was clean, had the kitchen supplies and towels we needed, and was well worth the stay.

Honey Do House
This was a HoneyDo house or if you’re familiar with the Wonky Donkey story - it’s a bit like that.
Bothersome to me: The two worst were the smelly, deeply worn out, (with split seams exposing filling) sofa, AND lower dishwasher rack that SLAMMED down HARD on the door when it was rolled out, making its use stressful.
Best thing at this house was the long, distressed table that sat all of us for meals and conversation. Loved it.
To accommodate 16 guests, there seemed to be an endless supply of lovely matching mugs, plates, bowls and glassware. Very nice…but after using them, they needed to be loaded into the worst dishwasher I’ve ever witnessed and I’m 62 years old! I’ve seen a lot of dishwashers. This was the WORST, dysfunctional piece of kitchen equipment ever. May as well wash all your plates and bowls by hand and lay towels on the counter to dry them because the counter drying rack was very petite and didn’t hold much.
Suggestions to renters:
Bring paper plates so you don’t have to struggle with the angry dishwasher.
If you will need a colander during your stay, bring one. Not supplied here.
Bring DAWN detergent with you. They provide Palmolive and it does not cut the grease.
Bring a clean, fresh sponge.
Bring a dishrag/towel for wiping down the counters. None provided.
Bring kitchen towels.
Bring your own towels. No face cloths provided.
CONTACT THE MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY for broken faucets, sink stoppers, shower handles, missing light bulbs and anything else that you would expect to function while renting. I did and they were highly responsive and corrected what they could during our stay.
When I first read reviews on this house, I read a lot of complaints but the reviews improved over time so I assumed the issues were addressed. Nope. Problems remain alive and kicking.
The house is wonderfully large with a logical, practical layout but neglected. A true rental. Don’t expect much. Not one of us looked at our bed and thought, "Ooh, it looks so inviting..." Quite the opposite.
The property management was highly responsive to my frequent requests for help so they are to be praised. Thank you Goldfish Properties.
When you go on vacation, you don’t want to go to a house with a long honey-do list. If you don’t mind all the things that need fixing here, then it’s worth it I guess. I found it stressful.

plenty of room for 8 adults and 6 kids
We were in the area for a surprise birthday party and skiing, this house was the size we needed. Over-all it worked fine for our needs. We had 2 parked cars slide down the driveway,
one had a lot of damage and we had Ice and snow fall from a tree and break a wind shield on another car. This happens in snow country, just warning the next guest.

Large house for a large party, excellent location
I was a bit worried about this house, honestly, after reading the reviews. However we had a party of 16 to find a house for snowboarding in February. There were not a lot of options for a group this size on North Lake, 20 mins to NorthStar with 6+ rooms and adequate bathrooms, AND a hot tub!
Pros: Massive 3 level house with plenty of room for people to have their own space. Dual masters for friends with families. Kitchen well stocked with appliances (coffee makers, blender, dishwasher, 2 ovens, refrigerator, gas range, microwave, toaster..), cookware, dishes, silverware, glasses, mugs and more, decent knives. Gas cooktop worked great with the self lighting feature. Hot tub was already very hot on arrival, 4+ people fit easily at a time. Pool table in decent condition, 2 sets of billiard balls. There were only 3 cue sticks, but they're in fine condition. Beds are firm, but comfortable. Lots of parking for many cars, our party had 6 cars, and there were no issues, 2 garage spots. The dining room had plenty of seating for 14 people + bar stools. There are a few boardgames available like Pictionary, but we brought our own. We enjoyed the wood fireplace, no problems opening the floo. The bedrooms and upper and lower common areas have a shaggy, soft, brown carpet. They had it meticulously vacuumed upon our arrival, helps a lot with heat during winter.
Beds as follows:
Middle floor:
1 queen master, ensuite bathroom
2 more rooms with single queens
Top floor:
1 queen master en suite bathroom
2 rooms with 2 doubles in each
They provided a small travel size shampoo, bar soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher powder, sponge and dishwashing soap. WiFi was strong.
The property management was prompt and flexible. We sent a few emails, and they responded immediately. Let us do late check-out (3pm) on our departure day with no additional charge. Last but not least, the price was right for a bit run down place that is not lake front.
Cons:
It's true, there were not enough bath towels, no hot tub towels (I think I counted 8?) For 16 people. But we anticipated this and asked people to bring towels and we were fine. The drawers in the kitchen were sticky. The couches were well worn, a bit hard to get up from, no big deal. Showers hard to figure out for drunk people, but all you have to do is pull! Water pressure good, no problems running out of hot water.
Keep your expectations moderate, and be wonderfully surprised.

Nice spacious cabin
Overall me and my family really enjoyed our time here at the cabin. Very spacious so we all had a place to sleep. I loved that there were balconies off of every room in the house, we also really enjoyed the hills in the back to take the kids sledding! My biggest concern is that a lot of things were falling apart while we were staying there. Two toilets were messed up, one of the chairs collapsed under my fiance while he had our 7 month old niece in his arms, the stove continually clicked even when we turned it off. Also a lot of things were outdated. Other than that me and my family were very satisfied & would recommend the house.

Functional but needs some TLC
We rent a house in Incline every year and need space for 16 people. This was the only available space in lower incline (near the lake, grocery stores, etc.) to suit our needs. There was plenty of room for everyone and a suitable amount of bathrooms. The kitchen was large and functional with plenty of seating and the deck and hot tub (very clean) were both nice. Some real picnic tables, instead of Costco plastic folding tables would have been nice for the deck.
The house is definitely in need of some maintenance and TLC, which would make it a much more enjoyable experience. I gave it four stars, because of it's functionality. If it were the condition of the house alone, I probably would have given it a three.
The couches in the main living area off the kitchen are deplorably tattered and dirty.
The walls are dirty and need a new paint job.
The very old kitchen cabinets are all sticky to the touch and some of the drawers are very difficult to open due to their age.
The bottom drawer of the dishwasher is impossible to pull out and push back in empty or loaded.
There were nails and boards sticking up on the decking which were a definite trip hazard. My niece caught her foot on a rusty nail which thankfully did not break the skin.
There was a broken toilet, dysfunctional bathroom sink, a barely functioning BBQ, and broken igniter on the stove, which we did not notify management of until the day we left. They did say they would send someone over immediately to correct these particular issues.
There was a ton of closet space in the bedrooms. Some of the closet doors were missing handles which would have made opening them easier.
There were fans in most of the rooms which was much appreciated.
There is a nice pool table in the basement, but only one stick actually had a tip. The other had only a screw.
There were not enough bath, hand or washcloth towels available for 16 people, but the Goldfish Properties corrected the issue immediately.
Goldfish Properties was always and nice extremely helpful with every question we had with regard to what we needed to bring. They were also very efficient with the beach passes, and we didn't have to worry about it.
All in all, the house worked for us and we enjoyed our stay. For the amount of people we had, the price was reasonable. We would consider renting again if it is cleaned up a bit.

Sub Standard
Our accommodations were sub standard. The place could really be a nice place but it is in need of some attention. The cabinet doors were coming off in the kitchen, the water faucets in kitchen and bathrooms had to be tightened by maintenance before we could use them. The decor is in need of updating, the couches in the main living room are worn out, the place was musty and very dusty, spider webs everywhere. The lights bulbs were out in several rooms and needed to be changed. The first floor had big black ants around the bathroom area. The deck had chairs that were rotted by the sun and the deck in need of repair. The stove wouldn't light properly without a lighter. The ice maker didn't work in the refrigerator. Overall it just needs some TLC. I would not recommend the house as it is now and for the rental price that was charged. On a positive note the maintenance people were excellent and very friendly.

Great Rental
We had our soccer team staying here together. There was plenty of room for the girls to spread out and give the adults space. The kitchen was plenty big to feed everyone. The room layouts worked perfect. The access was easy and the property management company was easy to work with. We will stay again.

Awesome!
We had a great time and it was so fun for the family. I don't want to write too good of a review because then too many people may rent it and we won't be able to get it next year because we want to go again. Thanks for providing a wonderful family weekend.

Large house, extremely worn/dated, lacks amenities
We rented this unit with 2 other families thinking it would be great for our annual family ski trip. The pictures make the property look much better than it actually is in person. All of us were very disappointed with the lack of amenities and were surprised with how worn everything was in the house. For the amount we paid to stay there, we had some expectations - at the very least, a fridge that produces filtered water and ice. The faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms needed some major effort to turn on. Many things in the house were dated and needed repair. It was very difficult to open and close kitchen drawers because there were no knobs and the drawers were old and very sticky and difficult to open. Many of the light bulbs in the house didn't work. We called the property manager and they had someone deliver some light bulbs but some of the lights fixtures were not accessible (since we didn't have access to a latter), so they had to come back the next day to replace the bulbs, and STILL there were a couple left out. For the number of guests the house can accommodate, there were very few (and small) towels. Since there was a hot tub, it would have been nice to have some extra towels on the property for us to use (vs having to use our small bath towels). We called the property manager and she offered to let us use more towels, but she was alone in the rental office and could not deliver. We made a quick trip over and picked them up, not convenient but we needed them. Many of the pots and pans could use replacing and the microwave did not work - we tried to make some microwave popcorn - and microwave could not make it happen. On a positive note, the location is great, the kids enjoyed the house and we enjoyed the hot tub. But overall, we left feeling disappointed and agreed we would not rent this property again. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to friends.
