This waterfront property has it all! A comfortable, well-appointed, modern, light-filled space designed to take full advantage of its location on a point. Sweeping views of the Sound and other Thimbles from a generous deck perfectly positioned for privacy. The nearby sandbar beach feels almost like your own and the sense of friendly community on this small island is evident.
The owners are gracious, welcoming, and immediately attentive to every question or need. Cannot recommend more highly!

This was our first small island vacation and can’t say enough about the house, island, & hosts. Our vacation was not without some drama (more on that in a bit), but overall, one that will be high on the family’s list for a while. Getting to Money Island via the ferry was very simple. Pull up to the dock, offload & the house is right there. If at all possible, time your arrival with high tide as the dock at low tide is quite slick.
The house was exactly as described on the listing. Getting into the house was easy and within minutes of arriving the kids were off enjoying the beach & exploring. We did encounter a slight issue upon check in though. After the first use of the bathroom the only toilet in the house clogged. Despite our efforts to plunge the toilet was not functional. Not an ideal situation on an island to say the least. The hosts had been extremely communicative prior to check in and provided me with one of the cell phones should we need anything during our stay. I called the primary host, Greg, who immediately took my call and put in a plan to get the issue resolved. In under 20 minutes he had an emergency plumber dispatched to the island (which did take some time but only because they’re dependent on the ferry service schedule, contacted another resident of the island who agreed to let us use their bathroom if we needed to until it was fixed. Greg texted me the residents name/cell phone and sent a map showing exactly where their house was. After about 1.5hrs the plumber had arrived & fixed the problem.
Greg was extremely gracious during the entire event and treated the event exactly as one would have hoped. While completely out of their control we could tell he genuinely cared about our stay and wanted to do anything he could to make it great from that point on.
Overall, our time at Money Island was one that we’ll all remember and was a great end of summer get away. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, wake up & fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean put this one on the list!

Money Island Family Getaway
We spent an ideal week with family in a beautiful house with absolutely amazing views out of almost every window and off the deck. We brought all of our food and libations on the first day- arrival by small ferry- and reordered any necessities thru Instacart and had it delivered. There is a wonderful disappearing beach (according to the tide) just steps away and access to a deserted rocky island by way of the sandy beach or thru the water at high tide. We had to refill the cistern for water every few days, no problem. Everything is run with solar power. We never had a problem and some of us were working thru laptops. . Outdoor shower is wonderful.
I did NOT NOT NOTlike booking thru "Evolve Vacations" at all, especially during this covid outbreak. I imagine they were flat out busy but I was not able to communicate with anyone there and the contact info the the house was only sent 15 days ahead of our week. I had to pay the full cost without having ANY communication and knowing if the house would be covid cleaned and still be rented because of corona virus. My family needed to know that it was going to happen so they could plan a few weeks before. Once I got the contact info- after ALL was paid- the communication with the owner was great and the week couldn't have been better.

HEAVEN
All I can say is WOW, the home, the location, the views, the privacy, the beauty, the owner made everything so easy with an approaching storm. When they say all you need is food and beverage that's all you need. We packed heavy, enjoyed the down time, the beauty, the tides. This was over Columbus Day Weekend. I can only imagine what its like in the summer time and you can be sure I will be returning in the warmer weather. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Wow
House was great, views were awesome, water was warm, and some good friends and you got Island life on Island time. I guess I could go on and on but if you did not get the point, I'm sorry. The house we rented on Money Island was the thing we needed to recharge and we did. Brand new and convenient. Literally walk off the small ferry and home is steps away. Everything we needed except for food and drink. No problem. We got it. We had seven total and plenty of room. Beds and pillows comfy. The kayak and paddle boards were a plus. The deck was awesome. I think we spent 85 percent of the time on it. One bathroom believe it or not was not a problem, with seven not sure about 12. The only thing I would have wanted was a dock. And maybe if I inquired more that might have been a possibility. Not sure if it's in the plans, but families that have boats or wave runners/ seadoos would love it. The ferry worked fine the few time we used it. The neighbors on Money Island were wonderful and helpful meeting many, two with a Golden Retriever and the other with a German Shepard. Invited several times over to several homes as we also had neighbors from next door over for a card night. So if this does not sum up our vacation then here is this, when we usually head home from a vacation I hear, can't wait to get home just because we are exhausted and had enough hustle and bustle, this time all I heard is we got to leave Sunday, this sucks. I will mention that we would love to come back, but I see the price has increased as the length of booking days. I'm assuming this is due to a successful summer of rental. Good for you. This might make it tough for another summer in paradise for us. Both mine and the other family run there own business. Several shorter vacations are easier to make happen. This was the main reason we booked this home. If this is the case then I guess we have to look at bright side, it was a great time and it was an hour and forty minutes away. Thank you.

A little piece of paradise!
I can't say enough about this amazing house and location. The owners were in great communication with us prior to arrival and greeted us at the door when we arrived. The house is absolutely beautiful with amazing views from literally every window in the house. Living the 'island life' for a week was so inspiring. There is no TV in the house and we loved it! Having dinner on the deck every night and enjoying the company of our family took center stage.
There are three bedrooms with queen beds in each plus a loft with 2 sets of bunk beds and a double bed.
You need to be a little strategic with the ferry as it runs from the main land every hour from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You can't be late to the dock when it leaves the main land or you have to wait an hour for the next ferry. Be sure to bring plenty of cash, it costs $5 per person each way on the ferry. However, it was no problem at all!
If you are looking for some down time and to re-energize your soul, this is the place. My sincere gratitude and thanks to Greg and his family for sharing this amazing property with us for the week! We absolutely want to come back!
