About this villa rental
The first time we walked into our second home we were almost knocked over by the breathtaking view. We now want to share that with you. Our one bedroom villa is located in the Ocean Villas complex on the ground s of the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar. A short 25 minute drive from SJU airport, this villa has everything needed to get a full service vacation away from the hustle of the city.
Located on 500 acres, the Wyndham Grand Resort boasts: two championship golf courses, a full service tennis center, 5 restaurants, a four star hotel, a mile of private beach, manicured grounds, a casino, miles of trail for hiking and running, and hundreds of iguanas. With 24 hour a day security, resort is a haven for families, couples, and those looking for a home base to explore La Isla Encanta. The Ocean Villas complex is the closest to the beach on the grounds of the resort- about fifty yards away from the buildings. With a grand lobby and impressive fountain, the complex definitely imparts a Spanish flavor.
The Villa is a cozy one bedroom, one bath unit with approximately 900 square feet of living space. Wake up in the breezy bedroom to a view of palm trees and the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean. The modest bathroom has two sinks and a full shower/tub. The galley kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, a full sized oven/stove, a sink, a reverse osmosis water filter, a Vitamix Blender, a Nespresso Coffeys maker and a dishwasher - along with all utensils and cookware and service ware. Enjoy your coffee or breakfast from our bar height dining room table while you gaze at the morning light. The living area is a great open space with a sleeper sofa, a futon, and an HD TV with over 100 channels from which to choose. Step out onto the balcony, our favorite place in our villa, and lounge on the sofa while watching the pelicans dive for their breakfast or lunch. The infinity pool and palm trees are the only features separating you and the sandy beach. Relaxation with an ocean breeze.
If the beach and the resort get stale, explore the area. A fifteen minute drive from the villa is El Yunque - the rainforest designated as a National Park. Climb waterfalls, hike trails, and maybe even encounter some parrots. If you are feeling really adventurous, try a zipline for a bird's eye view of the forest. If the forest is not your thing, surfing is always an option. There are several options available at La Pared beach in Luquillo. Wanting a more laid back day on the water? There are several outfits in Fajardo, about twenty minutes away that offer day trips to Icacos island for snorkeling and swimming. Looking for more history? Try Old San Juan. Known for its blue cobblestone streets, vibrant colors, and Spanish architecture, Old San Juan makes for a great day trip. Check out El Morro, the fortress built in Spanish colonial times. Make sure to get a picture in one of the fort's iconic lookouts hundreds of feet above the beach below. A great trip for a rainy day is to the Bacardi Distillery in San Juan. Learn about the history of rum making in Puerto Rico and enjoy a drink at the end of the tour.

Great host, great location (on the beach and close to El Yunque). View of pool and ocean as per photos. Comfy beds, great shower, adequate kitchen space. Beach and pool access super. Clean. Not far from breakfast and dinner locals. Can drive into San Juan or to Ferry and visit Culebra. Loved it! Casino walking distance. Nice golf course and restaurants on resort.

We loved our stay at the Beach Front Villa. The condo was a perfect size for the two of us. The beach and pools were just a few feet away. Geoff was very helpful with the check in and gave us many good recommendations for restaurants nearby.

Honeymooners
3.5 stars!! My husband and I celebrated the first half of our honeymoon at ocean villas. If you’re looking for a quieter, more secluded area of rio grande, I’d recommend this place. There were probably 5 people max in the pool area at all times. And if you do want a more resort-type feel, you can walk 3 minutes to the actual hotel. You can’t access the hotel pools, but you can eat at any of the restaurants.
As far as the villa is concerned, I was expecting it to be more upscale, especially for the price. Its very basic. The kitchen is extremely outdated, the microwave handle is falling off, and the stove is very old. The bathroom is nice, except for the broken toilet paper holder. Shower is okay. Back patio is very nice with a beautiful view. Villa is very very musty. Bedroom was clean, however, pillows were very yellow.
Vanessa was very sweet and accommodating. She even answered the phone to us at 830pm when we couldn’t find our way off the property!

Strong finish to our Puerto Rican holiday
We started in a treehouse, spent time on Vieques, and finished up at this lovely condo just a few short steps from the beach. Immaculately clean. Geoff greeted us and accommodated our early check in and was responsive to questions after check-in. Well outfitted kitchen and, KEY, was two beach chairs with integrated coolers! Just a nice, clean, comfy place with easy access to restaurants, golf, and tennis over at the Wyndham. Also a great pivot point for exploring eastern Puerto Rico and just a half hour from San Juan. Highly recommend!

As advertised - Wonderful
Loved this location. Checking in was easy as our hosts met with us and reviewed all the amenities. She also let us know we could use the surfboard, which we did. The pool was fabulous and the view was perfect. We loved our stay!!!

Wonderful Spot In Puerto Rico
Great host and location! The property is exactly as pictured. Sitting on the balcony watching the ocean and reading a book is a great way to unwind. Also the property is close to other attractions like the rainforest and the bioluminescent bay.

Birthday Getaway
We were grateful to be able to stay at the property. The online presentation matched the expectations and the hosts communicated great in the weeks leading up to the visit and while we were there. The location was a perfect spot as a home base for activities in the area. Thanks again!

Amazing view, clean and very comfortable!
The apartment was just as described and made the perfect home base for a brief Puerto Rican vacation. The villa itself was very clean and nicely furnished. There was plenty of room for a family of 4. The view is AMAZING and the ocean breeze kept it cool. Beach is great, pools are nice and the apartment has everything you need. Vanessa and Geoff were extremely thoughtful, checking in with us regularly and offering food and activity suggestions. Thank you for a great experience.

Gorgeous slice of heaven
This property was perfect for our family of four (wife and I plus two teenage daughters). There was so much to do nearby, but that beach...we've been to so many, but nothing like this. You have the most beautiful view from the living room (just look at the owners picture on the listing page...that's it!). The suite is spacious, clean and right next to the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort. We walked there daily to eat in the wonderful restaurants. The owner offered so many helpful tips about where to shop for groceries, favorite restaurants, and more. Basically, we fell in love and hope we can get back soon. It is our new "favorite place". Euniz, the local person who helps manage the property, was so helpful and friendly. Truly, you can't go wrong with this property. Thank you from our entire family. We miss it already.
