This was our second stay at this house. It has a wonderful view from inside the house and also on the patio. It also has a sunset view. It is well-equipped and has beach towels. There is a washer and dryer. The bedrooms have a/c which is needed, as the house can get very hot during the day. This time none of the tour operators would pick us up from the pier so we had to drive to town to get picked up.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Villa Vahimanui and definitely hope to return! The views were so beautiful that it took our breath away …and the villa itself was a very clean, comfortable, well equipped, and relaxing place to stay! Pierre was extremely conscientious and organized in regard to communication…and provided us with very comprehensive information in advance …which helped us prepare for, and enjoy our stay. Pierre was also quick to provide answers to any of our questions! This was our first trip to French Polynesia and Bora Bora. My husband & I stayed at the villa with my parents (in their 70’s/early 80’s … and in good shape ). We had no problem managing the stairs, although, as others have mentioned, it’s a bit of a workout to bring your luggage up in the hot sun …lol…but believe me - it’s totally worth it! We spent our days exploring the island in our rental car, and enjoyed trips to Matira Beach, and snorkeling! We were happy to return back to the villa in the late afternoon to cook meals and enjoy the view from the deck. We had a fabulous time at Pierre’s Villa and are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay! Thank you ❤️

This has been our second stay at Pierre’s home and it has been super fantastic again! The condominium is just the perfect place to stay, the views are incredible and everything is super clean, and quiet. Pierre is super responsive and super nice to communicate with. You cannot go wrong with this apartment! Merci Pierre and à bientôt!

Our family of 4 had an amazing holiday in Bora Bora thanks to the wonderful villa overlooking the lagoon, and extremely helpful owner Pierre.
Even a lovely local picked a bunch of bananas off his tree and gave them to us after our morning swim in the beautiful bright blue Lagoon.
This was a dream 21st celebration birthday/holiday for our twins
Thank you Pierre

The property and the view were very nice. We staid 5 nights. The only problem it is on the other side of the Island and if you want to eat or do any grocery shopping or go to the beach you have to drive around 20 - 25 minutes each way. So must be organized. Again, nothing wrong with the place, just be sure you have a car.

The house is part of a complex on a small hill. The only negative point (if i can find one) is that there is no sign indicating the complex.
Anyway, the house is fabulous: a great view with a very nice terrace, very nice forniture and high attention to details.
The owner (Pierre) is extremely detailed and he gave us any possible information we could need.
It was an excellent choice for staying in Bora Bora and i would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay here! My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful retreat and definitely found it here. All of the conveniences that you need and Pierre is a most attentive host. He has great recommendations on places to go and visit that made our trip even that more memorable. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer:)

We have just arrived home after two weeks in French Polynesia where my husband and I stayed the last four nights at this beautiful house. The owner represents the house beautifully and it is super clean with great views. He is very particular about keeping the place clean which helps you to keep it bug-free. The air conditioning worked great for sleeping at night (if needed), as there is a constant breeze which is especially lovely in the evenings. He had a great set-up for laundry if needed. Previous reviews balked at the steps. My husband and I are in our early 60s and in good health but a bit chinky and found the steps to be no problem at all. We didn't do any cooking as we preferred to grab a coffee and croissants from the Ptisseried at St. James as we had early starts with Eleuthera Diving. Really world-class dinners at Villa Mahani and St. James.
Thank you, Pierre. We'll be back and want to stay much longer. We loved not being in a place full of other tourists and being in your home allowed us such peacefulness.
PS: I gave the location 4 stars only because it is a bit pf a drive into town - nothing more than just letting people know.

The condo is as clean as the picture shows. The view of lagoon is remarkable. We had a wonderful trip with 2 kids. Just one tip, use the ani-mosquito spray as soon as you land in Bora Bora airport.

We loved our two week stay at Pierre’s beautiful cottage! We rented a car and had full access to activities during the day, then returned to our cottage oasis and enjoyed the spectacular view of the lagoon from the peaceful covered porch. Thank you Pierre for your wonderful hospitality!

The Villa from Pierre was just amazing!! The view is unbeatable and mesmerizing!! We couldn’t get enough of it. The Villa is very tastefully furnished, beautiful art work and has everything you need. The beds are very comfy and the AC in the bedrooms also work great. The internet is very fast which was helpful. All in all a memory we will never forget! Pierre was a very nice host.
The spot for snorkeling with Manta Rays is literally 2 minutes drive away. Thank you Pierre!

Let me say this first: If you don't mind daily steep walk and 80+ steps towards the villa, you will love it! It is everything your eyes deserve - incredible view and relaxing shades of blue. And just wait for the sunsets :). The villa is maintained and designed very well. The deck is spacious and you will enjoy it. The living room is naturally ventilated and there is no need for AC (in July). Pierre is great host and helpful with tips and recommendations. Needless to say we had one of the best vacations ever. Merci Pierre!
P.S. Don't be afraid of the geckos - they are awesome creatures!

Bora bora bungalow
The bungalow itself was quite well furnished nd clean. My only complaint was the number of steps we had to climb every day to go anyplace. The views from the deck were outstanding, the evenings were lovely with gentle winds and not much noise. The unit did not have my washcloths and only two bath towels which we had to wash frequently. The beach towels were nice for our trips to Matira beach. Pierre was very responsive to our questions.

Unbelievable View!
This property sits up on the mountainside. Once up there, the view of the lagoon, barrier reef, and ocean is unbelievably gorgeous. The deck is large and is the perfect place to enjoy meals and cold drinks. The villa is well appointed and we had everything we needed. To enter, you must climb many steps so be aware of that. We thought the climb was rewarded with the magnificent view. Excellent property!

Stay in Bora Bora
We enjoyed our stay at this property. View was beautiful, location was very nice (out of main tourist area which was what we wanted) and hosts were excellent. Our only issue with this property was the heat. The bedrooms were air conditioned so sleeping was comfortable but the living room and kitchen were not air conditioned, and the heat during the day was so intense that we could not stay in the condo during the mid to late portions of the day. We booked during the hottest month for Bora Bora (March) so maybe this would not be such an issue during another time period. Other than this issue we loved the place.

Pleasant stay in Bora Bora
The property was clean and spacious with tremendous views as advertised. The kitchen was well appointed, with sufficient pots and pans to prepare and serve a meal. The bedrooms were both air conditioned as advertised but the rest of the house was not. Mosquitoes were not a problem during the first week of February when we stayed. The property was a little difficult to locate, but Natalie the property manager was there and came out to greet me.

Small Paradise in Bora Bora
The house exceeded our expectations, which were already pretty high. Communication with the host was great, the apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a smooth stay.
And regarding the view.. nothing we write here could ever do it justice. Merci Pierre

Beyond our dreams!!
We HIGHLY recommend staying at the condominium of Pierre. The view alone is possibly the best in Bora Bora. Incredible snorkeling nearby and a beautiful garden. There are quite a few steps to the door but it gave us a little exercise each day. :-) We loved our hosts as well - Natalie and Tani made us coconut milk, and shared with us some fresh caught Mahi. Natalie even baked a banana cake and invited us to their private beach!!! It was absolute beyond description. You will not be disappointed with your time at le Condominium!

Stunning View
We really enjoyed the Villa, it has a very modern clean feel. The view and Lanai are fantastic. It was so quiet and had everything we needed. We would visit again for sure, Pierre was very helpful and for anyone looking for a vacation rental in Bora Bora this is a great option!!

Gorgeous View
When we arrived we were greeted by the property manager (can't remember her name) who was delightful and gave us a walkthrough of the property and a rundown on how to operate everything. The views from the property are incredible and it was nice sitting on the deck or in the living room watching the activity in the lagoon. The house is well appointed and has just about everything a person needs to cook and enjoy their stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is a lifesaver. If the rest of the living areas had air conditioning it would help with comfort when the breezes were not blowing. However the setup is pretty typical for tropical living with air in the sleeping areas and none in the living areas. Having a washer/dryer was amazing since we'd been traveling for two weeks prior with no place to do laundry. I believe I counted 87 steps to get up to the house - once the luggage was up it wasn't a big deal and I welcomed the exercise after sitting on the beach in the sand most of the day..... Overall a great experience and we'll most likely be back....

Wonderful stay
Amazing view. As everyone has stated it's at the top of the hill but worth the view. There are not many houses as high up as this one with views. Across the road has decent snorkeling. We were able to see a spotted eel in the coral. Water pressure is low but plenty good enough. We did email the grounds keeper about one issue and she never replied but when we returned the "problem" was gone. All said and done the rental is great and we would recommend staying here as we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again!

Absolutely breathtaking and perfect!
Our stay in Pierre's villa was amazing! We loved every minute of it and the villa is perfect with a breathtaking view! We were stunned and pleasantly surprised when we walked through the doors as the pictures cannot possibly show how beautiful it is! It's larger than we thought and the deck was perfect! This is by far the best villa in the entire complex as the deck is secluded and it's very quiet (except for the roosters...which we loved by the way...). Pierre gave us a lot of information and was extremely kind and helpful. We can't thank you enough for all your help and for having us in your home.

Nice Place
This is a nice vacation rental and we enjoyed our stay. This place is a good value for the island and might be a good option but make sure it's right for you. Here's what we found:
Pros: Fabulous view. Fairly newly decorated with recent bathrooms and kitchen. Great deck. Nice size place. Laundry available was a big plus. An excellent value on a very expensive island. Bora Bora is tough because you have a choice between the close by islands that have the expensive resorts but leave you with no choices for restaurants etc. or the main island that has a little more to do but doesn't have much in terms of luxury. At this price there is very little that will give you this much room and this view. Communication and organization was excellent with Pierre and having the taxi paid both ways and waiting was really good. Overall very well maintained and just as described. An excellent vacation rental in these respects!
Cons: As clearly mentioned in the description this unit is up a LOT of steep stairs so this will be a problem if you can't get your luggage up by yourself. A challenge for many so know the situation. My adult kids (we had the nearby unit) had a hard time sleeping with the chicken noise. It's early and loud. Also clearly mentioned is that just the bedrooms are air conditioned. They stay a perfect temperature but the rest of the unit gets up to about 90 degrees F because it is not insulated(as most building aren't there) so this may be a problem for you. It's a fifteen minute drive to restaurants etc. so a car is a must. The car available with the unit has some transmission problems but will get you there. Again, about half the price of the next best option but know it needs work.
In conclusion, if you go into this fully knowing what you're getting you will be happy. If the things mentioned will bother you you may have to spend a lot for a resort. Overall excellent for the price!

Beautiful and perfectly organized!
This was the first time my husband and I visited the French Polynesian island and it also had been a really long time since we traveled internationally, so we had a lot of questions on what to expect on things like, travel, what money to use, what items should we make sure to bring with us, how much things cost, what converters to bring, what activities to do and the list goes on.
Pierre was incredible, he had everything so laid out and organized, every question we had and those we didn't even know we would have, he had answered in a well written information packet. He laid out everything about the property that we needed to know, he gave us a list of what we should make sure bring with us, and list of all of the activities you could do on Bora Bora which included prices, and phone numbers.
He took care of every aspect for you, arranging the taxi to pick you when you arrived and when you left, for his property manager Nathalie to meet you and show you around. Nathalie by the way was awesome, very helpful during our stay, allowed me to text her when we had questions.
The Villa was beautiful, the views were stellar, very comfortable place to stay in with every amenity you could need.
The kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of dish and cooking utensil you could want, stove, oven, frig, microwave, my husband and I cooked a lot. All the appliances worked perfectly. The house had tv, movies, sound system to play music, washer and dryer, everything!
Air conditioning in the bed rooms worked awesome, we slept great. Beach towels were also provided.
Pierre always answered my emails quickly and was very kind and professional, so was Nathalie.
Highly recommend this property!!

Spectacular views of the lagoon
We greatly enjoyed our stay in the two bedroom house on the hill, it was quiet and relaxing way to spend the holidays. We appreciated all the amenities (full kitchen, washer/dryer, and A/C in the bedrooms) since we were not at a resort. It was better than a resort in that we had more flexibility and could opt to eat in, if desired. We ended up doing so for several nights since many restaurants were either closed or not open to non-resort guests between Christmas and New Years.
The owner was very clear in his expectations for the rental and was very prompt in all his communications. This was particularly helpful when we were delayed due to a missed flight. Pierre and Nathalie responded quickly and made alternative arrangements to pick us up from the dock where the airport boat shuttle dropped us off.
Already we miss having a rum cocktail on the deck over looking the spectacular changing colors of the lagoon at sunset.

Amazing stay!
We loved our stay at Villa Vahimanui! Upon arriving, the property is even more stunning than any of the photos shown in the listing. The inside of the house is spacious, clean & very well maintained. I can't say enough about the amazing view. Every single time we walked in the front door, every single time we walked out of our bedroom, we were in heaven! There's no way to adequately describe how perfectly beautiful it is. In addition to the view, the accommodations are great. The kitchen is very well stocked with most anything you would need to cook meals there. We've never stayed at any vacation rental that had the supply of beach and bath towels we had here. Pierre was helpful and quickly responsive from the time we made our reservation all the way through our stay. All of our questions and requests were answered in a timely and helpful manner. Thank you, Pierre, for sharing your lovely home!

Beautiful!
Best view in Bora Bora! Loved our view of the amazing lagoon of Bora Bora. Breakfast on the patio every morning watching the boats go by and the planes come and go and again at happy hour. Always something to look at. Fabulous snorkeling very close by. Our villa was really comfortable- appreciated all the extras included - soaps, paper products, etc. And Pierre and Nathalie were so helpful with our many questions! Thank you!

Honest review
Myself and 3 other adults have just returned from our stay in this villa. This is our honest review:
Villa Pros:
Home from home with the most amazing view of the lagoon.
Spacious living area with tv and collection of DVDs.
Well equipped kitchen, cooker, brand new fridge, microwave
Air conditioned bedrooms
Clean bathroom
Lovely deck area
Beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the villa
Brand new washer and dryer.
Cons:
Reason for giving this villa a 3 star rating are:
Villa is located on a very steep hill with lots of stone stairs to navigate to get the villa. No air conditioning in living area (it was very humid).
Lots of mosquitos (due to tropical climate). We used a range of sprays and repellants but still got lots of bites. We followed the owners instructions, keeping doors closed and insect screens across all windows including the french doors leading to the decked area. Which we hardly used due to mosquitos.
The kitchen was over run with ants (due to tropical climate). We were meticulous about clearing away after ourselves and not leaving rubbish, but the ants were everywhere including inside the kitchen cupboards (which we cleaned out daily). The inside of the villa could do with a freshen up (paintwork) and possibly new windows/doors. It's a beautiful villa, in a beautiful setting, but it is now in need of a little TLC.
There was a villa on-site that was being upgraded whilst we were there and it looked amazing. If this villa was upgraded we would consider renting again, but in its present state we wouldn't.

Great Rental Property in Bora Bora
We had a great experience renting this property for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon to French Polynesia. The rental car included was super convenient and allowed easy access to Matira Beach, the grocery store and restaurants. The property itself has a spectacular view although not much of a beach onsite. Pierre is super detailed and great to work with. He arranged for our pickup at the airport and had many good recommendations for restaurants and activities during our stay. We would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to experience Bora Bora while avoiding the outrageous prices that many hotels charge.

5 Stars!
My husband and I stayed at Villa Vahimanui for a week at the end of August 2018. Communication from the owner was fantastic, he answered all the questions and even gave some recommendations of places to eat etc. We took advantage of the car hire service Pierre offers and had a little Hyundai to zip around the island. He organises the initial taxi to the Villa and back to the wharf when you leave and the hosts were there to meet us, help with the luggage and show us around. They were absolutely lovely!
The house itself was beautifully clean and exactly like the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking your meals and the appliances were very new including an induction cook top and a dishwasher! The main lounge looks out over the lagoon and the deck is off to the side. The bed was comfy for us (it is a firm bed) and we didn't overheat due to the air conditioning in the bedrooms. We even had our own laundry to do a mid-holiday clothes wash.
A few things that may affect some people (didn't worry us hence the 5 stars but to consider) - you do have to go up 4 sets of stairs to this villa. The location was sheltered from the trade winds but you are on the opposite side to Matira Beach which is the main public beach in Bora. There are no restaurants near here, the closest is in town so you do need a car to get around. There are geckos that eat the bugs and make their cheeky noises as well as roosters which is typical for tropical islands. If you're a light sleeper you may need ear plugs.
All in all it was a fantastic stay for us and we loved relaxing on the deck with the perfect views. Magic spot, great house and lovely owner and hosts. Highly recommend!

Beautiful
The condo was awesome. We are packing up to leave today and I am already planning to come back. The owner gave us all the information we needed. The taxi was waiting for us when we arrived. The hosts met us and helped with luggage, gave us tour of condo so we would know where everything was. The view is gorgeous, the furnishings comfortable. There are steep stairs but we were able to navigate an we are in our 50's. I highly recommend this Condo.

The property was more amazing in person than I saw in pictures. A must stay and recommendation!
The overall stay was priceless. The cleanliness of the home was superb. The care providers of this property were very professional, kind and generous. Very thorough in making sure we were comfortable, transportation was available and answered all questions we had. I really like the owner and his team for assisting in making this vacation one we will never forget. We enjoyed the view, the hospitality and the warm welcome and see you next year farewell. I really enjoyed and so did my better half, the cake that was special order upon my request to celebrate her birthday. Thank you all. I would definitely recommend this as a place to reside if you ever visit Bora Bora.

Simply Amazing
This home had just about everything you needed to make it feel just like home. Clean, well appointed with a view that I still am having dreams about. The longer I stayed, the more it felt like home. I cooked quite a few meals and the kitchen had everything that I needed to facilitate that. Pierre and the amazing couple (Nathalie and Bartholomew) that he utilizes to manage the property are all wonderful and quick to address questions and issues. The home is directly across the lagoon from the airport so if not too busy out-you can catch some arrivals and departures :-)! Make sure to reserve Pierres rental car -it is a wonderful aide and fun to drive. The view, the view, the view-enough cannot be said about the view.
The four stars (instead of five) are for very minor issues (which would not preclude me from staying here again):
-There has already been mentioned the climb from the parking pad to the home (it is four sets of stairs-so if that is a problem for you be aware),
-Bring bath linen. There were 2 sets of beach towel-like towels in the unit (no face or hand towels). Glad I had prepared,
-Don't know if late March is typically very hot/humid but it certainly was the week we were there (Mar 26-31). Both bedrooms are air conditioned and work extremely well-so there is that relief. But the main area which is where you want to be is not air-conditioned and receives all the gloriousness of the sun midday. The living area and bath become extremely warm and humid even with the fans going at all times. Mornings and evenings are pure heaven though.
-We did not have TV in either bedroom (master wasn't working and not one in the second bedroom). Not a biggie but in the heat of the day-it would have been nice to have.
All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would certainly come back again to “Villa Vahimanui”! It was a quiet, relaxed week with access to as much or little as we wanted. Bora Bora is amazingly gorgeous! Thanks so much Pierre for hosting us! Hope to see you again soon!

Very clean place, and the owner is very responsive. He is patient with questions. The view is amazing. The convenience of the car rental and the fact that he arranges for your pick and drop off is much appreciaited. There are screens on the windows, so it is fun to keep them open. the air conditioning was a real plus in Febuary!

Fabulous!
Wonderful location and home. Kitchen well organized and appointed. Appliances new and very nice. Charming house with unbelievable views. Stairs a bit of a climb but not a problem as they are well maintained. Air conditioned bedrooms almost too cool. Evening breeze is very comfortable on deck or inside home. Immaculate! Natalie and husband very well organized and responsive to questions. Had no problems. Take advantage of the car rental offer. It holds 5 people and some luggage. Great convenience. Host responsive and very gracious sharing info and offering helpful tips for getting settled in. We loved it.

great place to experience Bora Bora!
Dear Pierre:
We had a lovely stay at your Villa Vahimanui. The house was exactly what we wanted for our family in Bora Bora--away from crowds and tourists, but easy to do whatever activities we wanted. The view was just amazing and we could have spent hours looking out from the patio every evening. We never missed any sunsets! The kitchen was well set up and the laundry worked well too. All the landscaping and flowers around the condominiums are really beautiful and nicely done. Barthelemy, the caretaker, was very nice and helpful as well. For us, having the dock and beach right there was great since we were picked up various times by boats and jetskis. It was centrally located so we could travel to different parts of the island easily for sightseeing, going to town, or going to outer motus. We loved our stay in Bora and hope to return before too long. We would stay at Villa Vahimanui again.
