Beautiful and peaceful property with perfect outside patio to relax and enjoy nature

We loved the little house. It had everything we needed and was super clean. We were a little surprised to see the house was right off the main road. We were also surprised at the possibility of alligators on the property. Yes, we know they are in SC, we were just surprised. All in all it was a wonderful stay and location. And the host is amazing.

My husband and I celebrated our 17th year Anniversary at the Little Blue House. The views in the back are beautiful. It was a very peaceful, relaxing home. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. Check in was easy, and communication with the host, Bucky, was very good. The house is stocked with everything you need for cooking and preparing meals. Also, the fridge was stocked with beverages, including bottled water. We enjoyed other extra touches, the large jar of candy, and the toothbrushes with toothpaste. The house is in a good location. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay at this house again if we return to Charleston.

We wanted to see Charleston but didn’t want to pay $200+ a night to stay downtown…this place was absolutely perfect. A short drive to everything you want to see. We throughly enjoyed the patio and the backyard view. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, etc that we needed to cook a big breakfast every morning. The bathroom was stocked with towels. The WiFi worked great. I can’t think of a thing that wasn’t perfect!

Great price for multiple people looking to stay together.

Loved this cottage. So peaceful. Host goes out of the way to provide little things that mean a lot. Location was perfect for us to attend a wedding on John’s Island.

We stayed two nights. It was a comfortable stay. Had it not been raining, we would have taken advantage of the nice out door patio and fire pit. Parking was plenty and easy.

We came to keep close to the coast and take our boat out. Parking a medium/large boat is doable, but it will take some maneuvering. House is waterside, but only usable for high-tide kayaking (normal for this area). Great outdoor location and fit for short or long stays. Very hospitable host and welcoming atmosphere. Quiet despite proximity to highway. Overall an excellent spot to stay and a short drive from multiple boat ramps. Looking forward to returning soon! One of the best Vrbos yet.

The owner was very communicative and responsive. And he has the place STOCKED. It was so nice coming in after a long travel day to cold water and beers in the fridge. He also has thoughtful treats and amenities for four legged friends. And the VIEW is something so special. We had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was wonderful. I enjoyed the bird watching and relaxing. The decor and overall cleanliness of the place was great. It was close enough to beaches and the city. My youngest loved the apple tree! Thanks to Buckey for the refreshments ready for us after the long drive!

This place is awesome! The location is perfect and anything we wanted to do was less than 35 minutes away. Take your pick Folly Beach and Edisto Beach are both only thirty minutes away. The Stono river is also awesome for sea trout and redfish. You can’t beat this house if you want convenience in the Charleston area. Buckey was also superb to work with and always responded quickly to any questions that I had!

Great property with a view. Property manager is fantastic and even mailed us back some items we accidentally left behind.

Very nice home, the owners have everything you could possibly need there. We had such a busy weekend wasn’t able to enjoy as much, hopefully will be able to come back soon.
Location was also great, outside the hustle of the city, but easy to get everywhere.

Within 20/30 minute drive to beaches, plantations, and parks. Excellent view of the marsh from the kitchen window. Nice sitting area in backyard with amazing sunset. Very clean and host goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcomed. Even leaves a bottle of wine and drinks in the fridge for your arrival. Easy communication. Pet friendly. Wonderful place to stay!

Came for my sons wedding. We had to bring our dog. It was so convenient and pleasant. My husband myself and two friends found it so relaxing even though it was a hectic few days for the wedding. Buckey was wonderful. Might be back some day. Pam k.

We were honestly so thrilled. The host is right next door and super easy to communicate. He was accommodating when we had to change details to our trip slightly due to an incoming blizzard, and the house was so warm and inviting upon arrival. Lots of little extras here and there.

We enjoyed our stay at Birds Of Flight Cottage. Love sitting outback with a fire and beautiful sunsets. Was great being close to Charleston but not right in the city. The owner is so accommodating and was surprised by his generosity with coffee and drinks. He was great at communicating and was a pleasure to rent from.

The backyard views are simply amazing and the place was so very clean. Rather than book a hotel room in Charlestown for an event we were attending, we booked this cottage in nature, just a short drive away. Buckey is great to deal with -- really went above and beyond to make our stay great!

A great property not far from downtown but far enough to feel secluded.

We had a wonderful time staying here. Almost everything that we needed was already there when we arrived. Bucky is an awesome host and would definitely rent from him again. Conveniently located to all the activities we had planned. This place was a nice quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing.

Charming house on the marsh
Great communication with property owner. Everything was provided from the cookware, to grilling supplies and plenty of towels. Cold drinks in the fridge and they had the air running for us upon arrival. We had a wonderful stay.

Ladies’ getaway
This is a great property for many reasons. Owner has charcoal and lighter for the grill and has a perfect outdoor space for gathering. We experienced a power outage due to the storm but there were no worries as the place was well equipped with flashlights and lanterns.
Great time was had but our group! Thank you Buckey!

Our trip to the little blue house was fabulous. Without knowing it our oldest son had a great time researching and catching (releasing) the crabs near the water. He was once again inspired to consider marine biology in his future. Both our boys had a relaxing time and my parents who came and stayed with us also had a great time!! The home was a perfect meet up and easy/direct route to explore Charleston, Sullivan’s Island and other local favs. Outside space was truly our favorite and the home was very comfortable! Highly recommend and the owner was very easy to communicate with, overall exceptional!!

We had a fabulous stay. The house was very clean and had plenty of everything you need and even extras. The property manager was very helpful and easy to work with. The view was absolutely beautiful. It was close to Charleston and all the activities we had planned. The only slight negative was that it is close to a busy road, so there were traffic sounds, but overall our experience was fantastic.
