Sunsets
This is our second time staying at the house on the 2 Nd floor ... it’s nothing fancy inside but the view of the bay from the kitchen and deck are amazing ... we are that family that loves to spend all day at the beach come home and make dinner and enjoy the deck and sunsets with cocktails ... and the fact that we can bring our dogs is another plus ...

Great Getaway!
We’ve always loved LBI and this was a great spot for us. It’s an older property but well maintained, the kitchen seemed newly renovated. The host was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. Last minute we decided to bring our dog and she was quick to allow the change and get us set up. We loved the views from the deck, watching the sunset every night was amazing.

Several Recent Updates but Needs More
Positives include a nice composite-material deck with table, large umbrella and expansive bay view. The deck, outside stairs, kitchen and bathroom have all been recently updated. We were happy to find a pet-friendly property with two over-sized beds.
On the negative side, there were a number of nuisance maintenance issues causing exasperation as we tried to enjoy a relaxing vacation: one working lamp in living room, outside shower door interior/exterior latches missing, dated living room sofas, Adirondack chair repaired with duck tape (although extremely securely done), main TV stuck on Fox News, no corkscrew, propane grill in need of major cleaning, beds wobbly although otherwise comfortable, curtain rods/blinds not properly anchored, and (as others noted) no suitable place for the garbage can in what is a small kitchen/dining area with little space for food preparation. We were paying a premium amount for a property which is showing its age and which would benefit from a handyman spending a few days doing a thorough inspection/fixup of the premises. Two propane grills (instead of sharing) would also be an improvement

Bay house with amazing sunsets
We knew the reviews all mentioned the sunsets but they exceeded our expectations from the first night. We couldn't have chosen a better location and Mary Jo was extremely accommodating.

Beautiful views
Our first vacation at the Jersey Shore and it won’t be our last.
We had a nice time and in a clean comfortable place to call home for the week. It suited my family of four along with my four legged boy just fine. The kitchen is a little tight being the table is blocking some cabinets and counter space, but overall very comfortable. We had an issue with the door handle, but the communication with the owner and the maintenance man was quick and responsive and made the fix a breeze. And.... We were blessed to have such great neighbors downstairs too! I will definitely consider renting again from the home owner again.

Amazing Views!
Great views overlooking the Bay and a short couple block walk to the beach. Easy to put our kayaks in the water right there in the bay. An awning would be great on the balcony, it gets really hot during the day, but a nice size umbrella is provided that does help. Enjoyed the sunset over the bay every evening. Bike rental shop was just a couple streets up which was convenient. We had no issues. It was especially great to be able to have our dog Oliver, be part of our family vacation. Neighbors were all friendly as well. Would rent here again.

Beautiful sunsets and beach time was marvelous
Great time visiting with family and friends. Deck view of sunsets and beach was terrific! We had alittle trouble with the folks downstairs as they brought 2 dogs and one was a puppy who barked non-stop when they all went out. That was unfortunate but we offered to watch her for them, but they declined. Beds were comfy, house was clean. A few more bowls would be helpful...as we just beach it, cook, fish and enjoy! Overall we had a good vacation and appreciate you sharing your home with us

Cute little house
Clean, cute cottage that we would certainly rent again. Great location and view from the deck; rooms a bit small. We appreciated that there were hooks to hang your clothes/towels, and mirrors in the bedrooms. These are often overlooked in properties we've rented.

A wonderful vacation.
My family and I stayed in the upstairs unit of this rental and we loved it. It is a perfect house for one big family or two small families. The deck provides a beautiful view of the sunset every night over the bay and it is a 5 minute walk to the beach.
The home was clean and well laid out with up to date appliances. The owner and I communicated via email and she was extremely responsive and professional. In addition, the price was fair and reasonable and they allow dogs.
I highly recommend this location.

Come for the views, but be wary
We would have loved to recommend this rental, but unfortunately we can't!
When we arrived for our 1 week stay, we noticed right away that the whole place could use a deep cleaning. There was spoiled food in the cabinets, as well as spilled food in the cabinets that must have been left there by previous renters. We didn't think it was a huge deal, so we just threw away the spoiled food. The furniture and carpets are old and beat up, but again we didn't think it was a big deal and just wanted to enjoy our week.
By far the best thing about this place is the deck. We stayed on the second floor which does have great views of the bay. We ate outside at the table and enjoyed sunsets and watching the boats go by every day. It is a short walk to the beach, so we were able to come and go as we pleased. The outdoor shower is nice, but floods the driveway when used.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place to others. Not because of the condition of the place (although it is not in great shape), but because of how we were treated after our departure. The cleaning lady lied to the owner and said we left an hour late (which we did not), and said we were "gross and disgusting." We actually had to laugh when we were told this. The group of us staying there were all adults including 2 grandparents, 3 adult couples, and an 8 month old over the course of the week. We are not a rowdy or dirty bunch of people. There was no drinking or partying or anything like that. We are just a family who have been coming to LBI for over 30 years and were looking to rent a new place on the bay side this year. The cleaning lady told the owner that it took her extra time to clean on top of having to wait for us to leave, and so we were not given our full security deposit back (in fact, the cleaning lady arrived before check-out time, and since we were still there she went to the house two doors down, presumably to clean there - she did not have to wait for us at all!). We did call the owner to discuss this, but she did not call back, she only emailed and said she believed the cleaning lady. If you do decide to stay here, enjoy the views of the bay, but we would recommend taking photos of the place when you arrive and when you leave so that the cleaning lady can't claim that you are "gross and disgusting." Good luck!

Gorgeous view and great upper deck, but house itself is way too small with poor amenities.
The view of the bay and the top deck were fantastic! The street was nice and quiet but the house is much smaller than it appeared online. The furniture was very old with broken off knobs and handles. The coffee machine did not work. The washer & dryer were very small and also located outside in a shed. There was no exhaust fan in the one tiny bathroom and no screen in the window. The pots and pans were very old and worn out. We had a great time, because my family always will have a great time anywhere -- but i would not rent this house again.

Wonderful views of the Bay on a nice quiet street!
We stayed in the upstairs and had such a wonderful vacation! The large deck allowed for us to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful sunsets while also allowing us to get a lot of sun too! (Our dogs loved the deck also) The unit was very clean and well kept and very cozy--kind of made you feel like you were at home, but down the shore! The kitchen has very large windows that allows for lots of light. Within walking distance to a lot of great places, like Kubels Restaurant/Bar, Trattoria Pinziminio, Pinky Shrimps, Bike Rental and ACME. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Only 10 minutes to Bay Village. We will definitely rent this place again next year!

Great View
Dead end street with only about 12 houses total on street so the kids could play outside safely, shoot baskets, ride bike, etc.
The view from the deck was great. I could sit all day and watch the water and the boats go by.
The unit was very clean and well cared for. Nice furniture. Big windows looking out to the water from the kitchen table. Many cable TVs made it easy with the kids. Pleanty of parking.
Excellent central location. A few blocks to grocery, many restaurants, amusements, fish market, shopping, kids golf.
We will return this year.
