We highly recommend this Charmingcomfortable, relaxing place to stay—we will definitely be back!

This house is charming, comfortable, and you can’t beat the glorious view from almost every room. We were walking distance to town and to some of the trails into the Cirque, so for our first few days we never had to drive anywhere. While we took advantage of the restaurants in town, the house’s kitchen was complete and we easily made dinner and then enjoyed the view of the mountains from the dining room or outdoor patio. The bathroom was spacious and modern and a good size, even though there were four of us sharing it. The laundry facilities were also easy to use. This house was such a nice place to relax in after a day of hiking. It is beautifully decorated—we appreciated the mix of modern and rustic decor. One of the best parts of the experience, though, was the owner. He was available for questions or potential problems and he checked in to make sure we were comfortable more than once.

The only thing that kept us from giving the house an excellent rating were the bedrooms. Some really easy fixes could make the house perfect. The pillows need to be replaced (they were really flat) and there should be more than one per bed. There should also be curtains or at least shades for all of the windows so that a guest can block the light in the morning and have privacy at night. Lastly, it was too hot to sleep some nights, and opening the windows would quickly cool down the rooms. But without window screens, there were too many insects and so we couldn’t open them. Screens, curtains, and some new bedding would have made our overall experience perfect. Regardless, we would return to Gavarent in a heartbeat!

A comfortable, well-equipped house in a beautiful location.

Fantastic location. Ideal access to la Cirque de Gavarnie and close to many other walking routes in the high Pyrenees.

This place is amazing. So close to Gavarine and such a peaceful piece of paradise. Would definitely stay here again and would thoroughly recommend.
