Breezy and quiet place with very friendly staff. They helped me get a scooter and also to extend my stay last minute. The dorm was good with several fans and you got your own locker. You have to have you own lock. Comfy bed, no curtains which was ok. Big shower and toilet outside with a small communal area. There will be roosters, dogs and other animals making noice early in the morning. The cafe was really good too. Close to Paliton beach and easy to get around the island and San Juan from the hostel with your own scooter. Free distilled water and free wifi.
I would have liked some more vegan options on the menu.

I liked the 4 beds dorm, I was alone, arriving in the storm and an employee helped me checking in. It's completely bug-free and spider-free.
The restaurant is famous here for its quality, delicious food!
The staff and the boss Jerry are super kind and helpful, even got me transportation at the right price later on.
No fault here.
There was a boat accident because of the storm so the nearby beach was closed, therefore the location at the time was underwhelming.
Everything else was perfect.

The properties are authentic and unique. The rooms are beautiful wooden huts. The room we stayed in had a lovely seating area outside with a washing line and a decent fan inside.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing. Staff are happy to help and offered to arrange motorbike hire for us.
Whilst the huts are lovely, because they are wooden they are very open to the elements. In the dorm people had found spiders and geckos as the sides of the building you can literally see the ground out of. The first private we were put in had no lock on the door, when we asked the staff about this they assured us it was safe. We explained we weren’t comfortable not having a room that locked and they moved us to another private. No mosquito nets are provided. The area is very noisy with dogs, roosters and other animals.

The Bungalow was cutie and rustic
We didn’t have water multiple times (shower, sink, toilet)
I took a shower on the shared facilities which wasnt the end of the world (5 min walk through the bushes) but I paid for a private place. The shower wasnt strong enough AND JUST COLD WATER.
Also the shack seemed to been built over an ants nest or sort of it because the bathroom was full of them.

Starting with the positives, the location was amazing as it was right on the beach, which made it very convenient to enjoy the beautiful views and take part in water activities. The food was also exceptional - I particularly enjoyed the local cuisine they served. Additionally, the fact that there was a scooter rental service available on-site was very convenient and added value to my stay.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks to my experience. Firstly, the accommodation itself was quite basic and didn't provide much in terms of amenities or comfort. Secondly, the staff didn't seem particularly interested in providing a welcoming atmosphere or being attentive to guests' needs. They were often absent, which made it difficult to get assistance or ask questions

The bathrooms are super clean and beautiful. The Cafe has really good food would highly recommend.
The rooms could use a make over and a cleaning (mostly the floor). My bed blanket (which is only a sheet) did not smell good so I changed it with another fresh one. That grossed me a bit.

the only good thing is the price
dirty. there is a dog that is always hiding under one bed. dark ans dirty. not really nice to meet other travelers. no common area. no toilet paper

location is next to nice beach and food is ok, not as good as made out, menu quite limited
On arrival the staff not welcoming, looked at me as if I wasn’t supposed to be there when I had a booking. i then ordered something off the specials menu, and when the bill came I was charged 70pesos more and was told this was the ‘new price’ even though it wasn’t on the board at that price - when I returned later it was a new price of 30 pesos more so I was charged more for no reason. Small bamboo hut that is open, no mosquito net provided so we were eaten alive, cold low pressure shower, no lock on door and loud with animals at night. not bad for the price but was looking forward to staying here due to the high rating and I do not think it is deserved.

it’s near the beach and other places. plus they have great food
restroom needs to be fixed and if they have mosquito repellent, that would be nice

Nice airy huts with enough space, good design overall and the dogs were so adorable!
Shower had 0 pressure during our 4 nights, only dripped at best. No lock on the door. Staff were quite slow and sometimes no one was around, but were accommodating with motorbike rental / food. We had to sleep with earplugs as the roosters would start screaming at 4am… could’ve been a very nice hidden gem but just needs a few improvements…!

cute huts, wasn’t too hot even without AC. super close to an okay beach. food is good. dogs are friendly and adorable.
tons of bugs everywhere, staff weren’t very welcoming

This is a lovely little place. I ended up staying 6 nights instead of 4. The location is great, superclose to a wonderful little beach where you can enjoy the quiet and amazing sunsets. A little bit out of town but it is not a problem if you can drive the scooter, since the hostel offers rental. It is basically only one dorm and it is easy to meet new people. Comfy beds. Although the place is surrounded by a farm = cows, roosters, goats and you could here them sometimes night time, it was still very peaceful and I had such a great sleep here all 6 nights!
I didn’t find the food very special. (Only tried the veggie options)
Toilet paper was very often out or blown down on the floor by the wind. A holder for the roll would be nice, and some extra toilet paper on the toilet/check them more often.
The water pressure in the showers were close to zero the first 2-3 days.
A lot of bugs outside the dorm! I had to overcome my bug phobia haha
Construction was going on from 8 in the morning every weekday while I stayed here.

The location, ambiance, staff, food are all excellent! It’s minutes walk from the beach and to all the other places around the area. They book out pretty fast so it’s luck to get a bed. Open kitchen which is also entertaining!! Best toilets ever!
