Our stay at Hollyhock B&B was fantastic. I would recommend staying here for a quiet weekend away.

The room has everything you need for a short stay and the breakfast provided was very filling. The location was quiet with lovely views of the garden. The host was very welcoming. We would stay there again.

We loved this bed and breakfast apartment - so comfortable - the beds were amazing and had a lovely outlook and privacy. Amazing value with the lovely breakfast included.

Not a didn’t like but the location is close to other houses but still very green and private.

Room was double booked - turned away

The reservation was booked on booking.com and the accommodation wasn’t available. We had to stay in the local motel which was awful. No compensation from anyone.

Wonderful stay and loved every moment of it. Chris the host was lovely and welcoming, and did amazing breakfast. Loved the king suite with the spa! Short drive to Mount Macedon. Absolutely beautiful and feels very country like only 1 hour from Melbourne.

My only minor complaint would be there are no streetlights at night when you're walking locally but thankfully the location is awesome and only 5 minutes walk from amenities and a local restaurant.

Nice and peaceful stay while going out to enjoy the mountain!

Breakfast each morning was great and a gluten-free option! Location was very close to the Macedon Lounge for a nice and easy dinner.

Very good

Breakfast was delicious. Heaps of fruit and cereal. Next came the hot breakfast,yum yum. Was too much for me to eat so I had to say no for the next morning lol.

Shower was a bit small.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Hollyhock and can highly recommend it .

Chris was a friendly but not intrusive host and provided a delicious and generous breakfast . Our room was well appointed and had spots to relax and unwind overlooking the beautiful garden . A very comfortable bed and quiet location meant we slept soundly and woke refreshed . Yet it was close , walking distance, to the main street cafes and restaurant and allowed us to do walks from the house . A short drive to Mt Macedon for some more lovely bushwalks and cafes.

Warm and welcoming, with that old fashioned extra care

What a beautiful stay at Hollyhock B&B! One of the best night's sleep I've had in ages, the bed was so comfortable. Everything was so clean and well presented - it showed that old fashioned 'extra care' in all elements. Breakfast was delicious, love a fresh berry compote with my cereal!

Fabulous quiet break and warm hospitality.

The privacy of being the only guests. The magnificent gardens and views of them from the room, the beautiful bird life that adorned the garden and veranda! The breakfast was fabulous, everything was clean and it was a delightful stay.

Lovely overnight stay.

We liked everything about our one night stay at Hollyhock (except the weather which was quite miserable unfortunately). The room was a good size, well maintained, and lovely and cosy, with both ducted heating controlled from the main house and an independent R/C AC, as well as heat lamps in the bathroom!! The views of the garden were really nice from the enclosed verandah, which also let in plenty of light despite the gloomy day outside. There was a DVD player as well as Netflix and guest Wifi available for use. Chris was a lovely host, she welcomed us on check in, cooked us up an amazing breakfast the following morning, and caught up with us before we headed off to make sure our stay had been enjoyable.
