This hotel has many facilities like a swimming pool, private beach, and a large scale restaurant. Hotel organized several events such as Gala dinner, cultural shows (local music and dance), which made us enjoy very much. The staff was helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was very comfortable.
WIFI connection should be improved.

Beautiful location. Resort with a great pool.
Got what seemed like a great room. The air conditioner didnt work. The jacuzzi didn't work. Some staff members were rude and unhelpful.

Room looked like on the pictures online. You entered through the terrace door, so the room itself was quite dark with the curtains closed and the lights on (Might not be the case in rooms that are on the top floor though).
Beach and pool area as well as the walking ways in the resort were clean and well kept. Shuttlebus to the beach convenient although the walk down there is not too far and doable either.
Hotel complex is situated on top of a cliff overlooking the sea offering an amazing view.
Plenty of parking available inside the hotel complex.
Sunbeds at the pool somehow only available after 9 o’clock am. Weird if you get up early.
Probably due to covid you were not allowed to take anything from the buffet (breakfast + dinner) yourself. It was quite annoying having to wait for staff to come and give the food to you. They obviously rushed because other guests were also waiting, so there was no time for explanation on what and how much you really wanted. More staff is needed for that.
Huge variety when it comes to food, but improvements in the taste/quality section needed, would not pay for half-board again.
On our first night we arrived late to the hotel at around 9 o’clock pm. We did not think that dinner would be available anymore, since it started at 7 o’clock. But reception told us it was, so we went to the restaurant. The waiters were obviously not happy with us arriving so late and gave us cold food and little desert cakes that had fallen over. Would not have been a problem, but if you see a waitress shooing away – on purpose - another waiter that wanted to give my partner a cake that was still standing upright only to serve him hers that’s fallen over, is pretty messed up. And besides we did not let anybody wait for us, all of the other guests were still sitting there and getting the dessert at the same time as we did.
But anyway tell us in the first place that we missed dinner, and it would have been alright.

The main reason we book the hotel is because it is for adults only so there will be no children. Hotel itself was beautiful with the feel of being like in a big garden with trees and flowers everywhere. We book the suite and it was great.
There was a nice swimming pool with many sun beds around. The hotel provides transport to the beach. It is not a private beach for hotel guest only but there is a dedicated area for hotel guest with umbrellas and sun beds. Beach was beautiful and there is also a small bar for drinks and snacks.
What we really like about the hotel is the feel of being in a nice resort. Recommend for those who are traveling without children.
The hotel itself was well located and beautiful but we are really disappointed with the food quality. We had booked half board since it was a short stop for 2 nights before heading south to Sicily. The service at the restaurant was good but the food was not and definitely not Italian standard.
Breakfast was better but overall food quality it not what you expect with Italian cuisine. We understand that it is a German hotel chain and most of the hotel guest are Germans with a small percentage of Italian guest like us. But the food it neither German nor Italian so it was really disappointing.
We like the hotel but the next time we come back we will not eat there for sure.

Nice housekeeping service and receptionists. The location - views. Parking on the premises.
Breakfast till 11 am and at 10 am the buffet was almost empty (the waiters informed us that they are closing). Very loud fridge in the room. The doors in the rooms are so bad that you can hear every word spoken by other guests on the corridor and by housekeeping service.

Everything about Tui Blue Tropea was perfect. It was one of the best holidays we've ever had. All the staff were amazing, our room was spotless, the setting is brilliant and the breakfast and lunch were delicious. (We ate in Tropea at night).
The safe is free, as is the loan of pool towels. There is a shuttle bus down the hill to the fabulous beach, but we just walked through the beautiful setting. The pool is spotless also.
The Covid measures were excellent (waiter service, social distancing). The setting makes social distancing feel very natural.
The hotel offers a bus to Tropea, which you can also walk to in c. 20 mins or so. Santa Domenica train station is a similar distance away if you'd like a trip to Reggio di Calabria (the archaeological museum is great!)
I couldn't fault this hotel. It is perfect.

Even though it's twice as expensive as most lodging in the area, it's still a good value. Beach is beautiful, a picturesque location, easy access. Nice pool and gym. Grounds are very pretty.
Overall feel is very "corporate", not warm and friendly like an Italian-operated place. A mixture of cheap and elegant (ex., cheap plastic cups in the bathroom). A/C is loud, not very cold, and turns off when you open the bathroom window - ridiculous! No bar service at the pool, you have to walk over and pay each time. Dinner is buffet style. TV had a few Italian stations and a lot of German language ones, none in English. Breakfast offered a variety of food, but everything is pre-made. Omelets and waffles should be freshly made, it's not difficult!
