About this apartment rental

If you want to be as close to Smith Mountain Lake as possible, this is the unit for you! You will love relaxing at the water's edge enjoying the beautiful lake and mountain views from the huge deck. And you will love Bernard’s Landing Resort which offers the most amenities of any resort at Smith Mountain Lake. Free use of our kayak/paddleboard, plus all resort amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, hot tub, sandy swimming beaches, fitness center, and sport courts are included.
DOCK: Courtesy docks are right in front of your condo! Rent a boat/jet ski, or bring your own!
BEDS: The master bedroom offers lake views, a luxurious king-size bed, en suite bathroom with tile shower, and TV. The sliding glass door exits onto the wrap-around deck. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, wall mounted TV, and large, updated hall bath. Quality linens/bedding and towels (including beach towels) are provided.
LIVING AREA: Comfortable living room with a 62” TV. Our end unit offers incredible views from the Great room/Dining/Kitchen area. Free upgraded WIFI.
KITCHEN: Well equipped kitchen stocked with many spices.
AMENITIES GALORE!
LAKE SWIMMING AND KAYAKING: A small sandy beach area is steps from the condo and we store a kayak and paddleboard there for the use of our guests. We provide beach towels, and life jackets!
SPORT COURTS: Tennis/pickleball/racquetball/basketball courts are close by, and we provide racquets and balls for our guests!
SWIMMING POOLS: One of the two outdoor pools is located just behind the condo. The other Olympic-type swimming pool with lap lanes is located at the Clubhouse, as well as a separate children's wading pool and play area, plus an indoor pool and hot tub! A large sandy BEACH with lounge chairs is nearby.
GYM: Fitness center, plus steam room and SAUNA are available at the Clubhouse!
GOLF: Guests have golf privileges at West Lake Country Club as well as other nearby courses such as Blue Hills and Hanging Rock in Roanoke.
DINING: It’s less than a 5 minute walk to Napoli By the Lake for a delicious dinner with indoor and outdoor seating!
CONVENIENCE:

Lovely condo with exceptional views from a large deck overlooking the lake. Sunrises were spectacular! Comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen were definitely a plus. Boat docks were easily accessible and all located in Bernard’s Landing, our favorite lake neighborhood! We hope to return next year!

This was our first trip to Smith Mountain Lake, so we were very excited to explore. This condo came clean and fully stocked with a beautiful view. I liked that it was one the second level, but had few stairs. Everything was at our fingertips to include a small, relaxing pool, boat/wave runner rentals, and a small beach to kayak or paddle board from. This is a great place for children, especially age 7 or higher. We loved the lake and had fun visiting some sights around the area. We went to the Dam, the Booker T. Washington memorial, arcade, shops and a very cute creamery with delicious ice cream. Debbie was very responsive and also generous because she definitely goes above and beyond with the condo amenities. It was a wonderful trip and we would definitely come back.

We had such a nice time at Smith Mountain Lake and this condo was lovely. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck in the evening watching the boats and the birds. We even had a visit from a hummingbird who came to drink from the Hibiscus plants on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed. The condo was very comfortable for 4 of us. The restaurant, Napoli was in walking distance and the food was wonderful. All in all great place to stay.

This place was so good that it felt like a friend had tossed me to the keys to his place and I was comfortable from the moment I walked in. It was clean and well-stocked and very cozy. We were very happy with the condo and the responsive communication from the owners. I’d absolutely stay here again!

The property was exactly as described. The kitchen was clean & had everything we needed. Loved the outside space. The deck was spacious and the furniture comfortable, with beautiful water views. The amenities of Bernard’s Landing were dated (pool, spa, pickle ball & tennis courts). The restaurant was very good and the residents we met were very friendly. I would recommend staying at this home.

We may not have had the best weather but the condo was THE BEST! There were so many amenities! This owner thought of everything a person might need! Wonderful location! The beds were sooo comfortable and you don’t find that everywhere. The place was immaculately clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The accommodation was very cozy with a well-stocked kitchen! The condo features modern touches throughout the entire home and with a fabulous view of the lake and mountain from the deck. I went on vacation with my husband for much needed rest and relaxation. This is the perfect spot if you're a nature lover and want a peaceful experience.

My wife and I were looking to get away for a few days at SML and this condo was the perfect rental for us. Terrific lake view, quiet and serene setting, and Debbie was great to work with. We really enjoyed our long weekend Bernard's Landing and I look forward to renting this condo from Debbie again.

Amazing views!

Wonderful lakefront property with amazing sunrise views and two king bedrooms...just what we were looking for to share a long weekend with good friends! Enjoyed the proximity to Roanoke for hiking Mill Mountain and having a beer at Big Lick Brewery. Had fun hiking in the Smith Mountain Lake State Park in the snow! Can't wait to come back to this unit in the summer. Would highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed the unit as it was well stocked with condiments, toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, extra blankets, pillows, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the wrap around balcony was a great way to enjoy the scenery of the lake during the day and at night. Everything was clean and the lake was very quiet and peaceful. Most of the area is closed as far as winter activities (movie theater, mini golf, family fun centers), but we used the tennis/basketball courts nearby. It's too remote for any food delivery and the restaurants aren't open everyday due to COVID staffing/expense, but it was just the getaway we needed to recharge before we get back to work and school! I would book again for a summer vacation.

A real winner!

A real winner!

We were looking for a place to slow down and relax for a few days after some very hectic months. We feel so fortunate to have found Debbie’s condo at Smith Mountain Lake. It was absolutely the perfect place. A corner unit right on the lake with huge water views on two sides. We were lucky enough to have mild weather the first week of November so we could enjoy afternoons sitting out on the wrap-around deck. Inside, comfortable seating in the living room with two recliners, a big sofa, and a huge TV made for fun movie nights. The efficiently laid-out and well-equipped kitchen had all we needed, including a good assortment of pots and pan and various seasonings and condiments. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed and roomy walk-in shower. While we didn’t use the second bedroom, it looked very nice. We did take advantage of the second bathroom though. Nothing like two full baths for the perfect his-and-hers experience! 😊 I’m sure during the summer months there is much more activity on the lake but for us the peaceful, quiet fall days with stunning sunrises and just as beautiful sunsets gave us just what we were looking for. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice condo supplied with everything you need. The two comfy king beds were great! Hard to find when you have two couples renting. Weather was beautiful and we enjoyed spectacular sunrises from the spacious deck. We spent many hours there talking, enjoying the views and lake activity. A definite bonus was the use of the kayaks, as well as the nearby indoor pool and hot tub. Owner very responsive and a pleasure to work with. A wonderful place to stay!

We really enjoyed this condo. We have rented numerous places at SML over the years, and this place ranks right up at the top. We actually enjoyed hanging out on the decks as the view was so wonderful and close to the waters edge. The water is also very visible from inside, and our pontoon boat was easy to tie up at the courtesy docks just below the unit. Terri has thought of everything for the guests enjoyment. We can't wait to return another time.

Perfect everything (except the weather unfortunately for us)! View, location, amenities. Condo had literally everything you could want or need. Beds were very comfortable, towels were great quality, loved all the bath products provided for us, etc..etc... I don't stay at two many places more than once, but if we ever go back down there I wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay.

Had a really nice time with my family. Place was clean and comfortable with a great view our the family room window. Also is a great central location on the lake. Easy to get to shopping/Bridgewater, and if you have a boat, good place to head anywhere.
