Sally was awesome and the house had a perfect set up for a family or friends. Kitchen is set up well to cook and the huge island is awesome. Highly recommend this place. Very clean and only 15 min from airport and downtown.

Sally was a wonderful host- with a great decorating flair- in an area that was central to Charleston and the surrounding islands. Great stay for our extended family’s quick trip.

Very nice home ! Relaxing front porch and back yard area / patio. I wish we could have stayed longer as it was a busy weekend. Sally was so nice to meet us and helpful when checking in.
We would definitely stay here again.

The house was a perfect setting for a short weekend with family visiting Charleston. Our family of 6 adults had plenty of room and enjoyed drinking our morning coffee in the front porch rocking chairs. We would definitely return to Sally's beautiful home!

Well appointed property and Sally very attentive

Sally's home was perfect for our annual girls vacation. There were lots of supply extras (towels, bathroom products, coffee, etc.) that many owners do not supply. This made for a terrific stay! The home was sparkling clean. Sally gave us some restaurant suggestions that worked out perfectly as well as local historic places to visit. We would highly recommend Sally's home and would definitely stay there again.

We were greeted by Sally around 1:30 when we arrived on Thursday. She was super sweet and informative. There were bunnies in the front yard that our almost 4 year old was super excited about. It’s all she talked about the entire trip. We needed somewhere to stay while we were down for a soccer tournament. This house was cute and had everything we needed! Thanks for a great stay!!

House was perfect for a family weekend. There were 5 of us and each had our own rooms. The open kitchen, dining and living room layout was perfect for conversation. It was great that all of us had a comfy spot to sit in the living room. Kitchen was stocked with all of the dishes and tools to make and serve meals. The location was great. Several runners in the group enjoyed some miles on the West Ashley Greenway path leaving straight from the house. It was about a 20 minute drive to the historic district and we were lucky to catch Second Sunday market. Highly recommend if you're wanting a relaxing place to stay but close enough to enjoy the sights of Charleston.

The house was welcoming upon arrival. You can tell the host takes a lot of time to make it so. It had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is well appointed with dishes, cookware, serving dishes etc. Wish we had a longer stay.
The only slight problem is there is a barn door to the primary bedroom and bath. Coming out of one of the bedrooms you can see in and an oops happened. Not a big deal just need to be aware.

This house is amazing! Sally is a fantastic host, and we enjoyed being close to all Charleston had to offer. It was nice to be away from the crowds on a chilly February holiday weekend, and we loved coming back to this home every evening. Communication with Sally was great from the start, and it was good to meet her in person. There was enough room for our family to have our own rooms, and the central kitchen / dining area was a great place to hang out. We managed to visit Folly Beach twice, plus had two days in the city itself - highly recommend this as a "home" base!

We enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for easy travel into historic Charleston and to the surrounding areas of Mt Pleasant, Folly Beach, and St James Island. The home was very clean and comfortable, with a large open floor plan. The kitchen was large enough for all of us to cook a large meal together. There is a nice sitting area in the backyard that we unfortunately didn't have time to use. We wished there was more comfortable seating in the main living area, but other than that we had a 5 star experience.

We have a large family and this listing was just perfect! The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly. The location was great in the middle, so to speak, of downtown Charleston and the beach! The open design of the living room and kitchen and dining areas make it so conversation and entertaining just flow. The master bedroom shower was fantastic! All in all, one of our best vacations ever!

We had an amazing time with ample space for five (three adults, two kids). The linens provided (sheets, comforters, towel sets, blankets, etc.) were comfortable, quality, and in abundance; we stayed warm and cozy all weekend.
My kids enjoyed the TV room, my grandmother enjoyed the farm table and bench seating, my mom appreciated the quality cookware and I was just thankful everyone was happy with my selection! Cooking was a blast, as there was enough counter space to prep and eat multiple meals; we started on dinner before wrapping up brunch!
We were close enough to everything we wanted to do (downtown Charleston), and closer to options when we had no plans but needed to run out. The neighborhood was quiet, I don't recall hearing much more than a car passing by or a door closing our entire stay.
The layout is different; the bedrooms kind of serpentined, which my kids took full advantage of for hide and seek. The home was beautifully decorated and functional. We liked being able to close off the sleeping quarters from the living space, as the opportunity to nap or escape could be done effectively. It rained so we didn't enjoy much of the outdoor space, but it was a nice setup with grills, lighting and adequate seating.
We have no complaints and look forward to booking again!

This house worked well for our group. Sally was a great host during our stay. She was very responsive when we had a question or a need, and she brought her rabbits over for our girls to see when she found out they had a rabbit at home. She even came over in the middle of the night when we had an issue with the smoke detectors. The one issue we didn't care a lot for was the sliding barn door being the only door to the master bedroom and bathroom. It felt like there was a lack of privacy, but it didn't prove to be too much of an issue. Overall, we had a nice stay.

My girlfriends and I get together every year for a long weekend and chose Charleston this year. We had a great time and really enjoyed this house. There were six of us and the house with four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms accommodated us very well. We loved the big open kitchen and dining/living room area. The house is just 20 minutes from downtown Charleston and the other activities in which we participated so conveniently located. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and the owner was quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend it.

Sally is a nice homeowner… if it was possible, we would have opted not to have had to meet her at the door, upon arriving. We understood the rules of the home, and although a friend who stopped by, had no idea of the rules, we received an immediate text about no parking on the street. Felt like we were being so policed and made the enjoyment of a fun weekend, less. Hot water heater was broken, so we had to walk, in our pjs, to one of her other rentals, to shower-Sally was able to replace and fix the issue. IF you’re wanting to enjoy the backyard, keep in mind Sally wants “the party/gathering to be kept indoors…” also, master bathroom has NO door, and there’s a sliding door to the outside, (in the bathroom) with white curtains-so the people outside can see your shadows…👀. Inside was clean 5/5 and the decor was full of 🐔 and fun colors!

Property is spectacular. Very well appointed. Spacious gathering area with fully furnished kitchen, large center island, dining table seating ten or more. Has large tv in the main area. Also has a great area that will accommodate about four with large tv and wonderful for getting kids away from the adults or visa versa. The back yard is very private , fenced in and quite manicured. Had both gas grill and charcoal grill. You’ll be very happy with this choice.

Five stars is definitely not enough for the stay we had. If I could give 100 stars I would. Being met by the owner, Sally, at the front door was great. We were able to walk through the home with her, and ask questions right there and then. The proximity to EVERYTHING was an added bonus!! We were no more than 25 minutes from all that we wanted to see. Local restaurants, grocery stores, and especially "donut" places, made my brother walk around with a smile on his face. My husband golfed and enjoyed every second, the courses were that good. My 14 year old nephew, who had never seen the ocean, grabbed chairs, towels, and boogie boards (which Sally had) and off he went with his parents. As for me, I loved just sitting on the front porch reading. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful home, close to everything. You simply cannot go wrong with, "Sally's Roost". I fully intend on booking again in the future, and telling everyone I know what a "great" time I had in Charleston and the perfect place I stayed.

Sally is a great host.! The house is beautiful, comfortable and close to Charleston. The house was perfect for our reunion of 5 college roommates. The kitchen was well equipped and all the essentials were plentiful. we loved the large island and the farm house table, not to mention the kitchen sink. Everyone loved the huge shower. Sally was a great host and we loved every minute of our stay there, it was perfect as we had our 94 yo Mother there and it was ADA accessible. Sally even provided a lighter weight wheelchair to help with getting around Charleston. She was easily accessible. I highly recommend staying here, close enough to beaches and historic Charleston. If heading this way, we would definitley stay here again.

Beautiful home with a convenient location
Great house with plenty of space to spread out. Good location to explore Charleston, beaches and plantations plus an easy drive to the airport. Comfortable side room to have a movie night and large table for eating and/or playing games. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Stay for a Girls' Getaway!
Cozy, Comfortable, and Close to every thing Charleston has to offer. We rented this home for our sorority reunion trip. It exceeded all of our needs from the spacious island, large farmhouse table, ample bedroom space and even an accessible restroom. The patio space was even well laid out for us to entertain in. We definitely hope that this property remains available to utilize in the future!

Nice Quiet Neighborhood
Nice property, close to beach and downtown Charleston. Five people stayed comfortably. Plenty of linens. Nice to have beach supplies available. Only complaint was water valves in showers were not working properly.

Our Stay Near Charleston
West Ashley area was 15 to 30 minutes away from everything we wanted to do, even 2 different beaches and popular tourist attractions: museums, downtown Charleston, plantations, house tours. etc. Neighborhood was charming; however, it was sad to see neighbors allowing their house fall into a state of disrepair. We loved the bunnies out front, which was a neighborhood attraction for little ones. Happy Easter! The house had wonderful curb appeal, both outside and inside. The property would be 5 star (in our opinion) if a few items would be addressed for future renters (we left a short list); these items are easily addressed and we realize it may be due to our arrival on Easter day.
