I don't even know where to begin. There are not enough words in my vocabulary to describe the beauty of this place. The cabins were a perfect balance of rustic with modern conveniences. We kept finding neat little things every time we looked around. The dipping pool was a great way to cool off during the day or relax in the evening. The land is beautiful and amazing - the river front property was a huge bonus! We enjoyed reading about the history of the home from a neat book the owners provided. Speaking of owners - they are the BEST and the love of their property shines through! We will be back (a lot)!

I don’t have enough words to describe this amazing magical beautiful place!!! Sophia the host is truly a Super Host!!! The property is amazing! Huge and lovely beautifully decorated with her personalized touches that are everywhere. Sophia stayed in touch throughout our time there and provided anything and everything we could possible need. Cleanliness was top notch! AC kept us super cool in super hots days. We grilled out with all we needed to do so supplied! There was music, entertainment with any game I could think of, a large assortment of water chairs and floats for down by the river. Beds and linens were all comfy cozy. Kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking pots, pans, utensils etc. My favorite was the front porch…wrap around with comfy rocking chairs and a gorgeous view!!! And the dipping pool was amazing, spotless clean, lighting at night and so refreshing again with an amazing view. We were a group of 12 from Texas, Tennessee and Calif and we all agreed hands down that this was the best vacation and best vacation rental we’ve ever had. Camp Milagro and Sophia gave my family, friends and myself the most wonderful vacation ever!!! Five stars is an understatement! This place is off the charts fantastic!!!

Camp Milagro was the perfect spot to celebrate the end of finals for our kids. Such a great layout and plenty of space to catch up, relax and make memories together! It’s hard to beat the views from the cabins.

This place is amazing! Cabins are rustic and charming. Walking distance to river. We met friends from several different states for a retreat! Comfortable, plenty of room to spread out! We loved learning about the history of the cabins! Everything was great! We will definitely stay again!

Everything about Camp Milagro was amazing. It was so perfect from the beautiful scenery to all the amenities. This is now our “go to” place when we need to getaway and recharge. Sophia is so wonderful and accommodating. She made us feel so welcomed

This was year two for our crew to gather at Camp Milagro after our eldest grandson requested that we go back to the cabins. It was such a sweet time again! The fireplaces were perfect when a cold front came through and we enjoyed long walks, time around the firepit sharing stories and roasting marshmellows. It's just rustic enough to make you feel like you've really gotten away and still has all the creature comforts. We love Camp Milagro!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Outside of food, nothing was needed. Everything you could need or think you would need is there. It was in the low 40s the whole time, but we were all comfortable and warm. The scenery is something you can’t imagine unless you see it. It’s a peaceful and a wonderful break from the daily grind.
The pictures do not do this house or property justice. It exceeded our expectations! We will definitely return again.

Fantastic !
Annual Family (girls) trip to the area and Camp Milagro was the best! Easy access to the river, spectacular views and a authentic cabin retreat. Enjoyed many activities including tubing, boating on Canyon Lake, shopping in Gruene and hanging out at Milagro in the.dipping pool. The kids review-“ this is our favorite” stay! Sophia is a great host, cabins have everything you need and more. Easily a 5 star stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our group of 9 adults had an incredible time at Camp Milagro. There was enough room for everyone to spread out but still be together. Sophia was incredible to work with. She checked in on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already planning a trip back!

Highly recommend
Such a lovely experience. It’s unique. A true Texas gem. Rustic lux. No detail overlooked. Gather your friends and family and unwind in a beautiful setting. Fire pit, stargazing, sunsets, hiking, fishing, picnicking, or just reading a book or sharing conversations with old friends. The oldest bakery in Texas is just a few minuets away. Also just minuets way is one of the best dance halls in Texas with live music and tons of history. Buy your tickets early because they sell out. The property host surprised us with lots of goodies for our Easter gathering and made it extra special with holiday decor. We will be coming back!

Gorgeous Hill Country Get Away
We had an absolutely amazing time at Camp Milagro. Our biggest regret was not being able to stay longer. Every detail of our experience was beyond perfect. Check in was easy. The host was communicative and available, though there wasn’t a single thing we needed. The property itself is breathtaking, and the cabins are charming. There are unique details everywhere you look! Everything inside was set up perfectly. We brought our own food to cook for dinner and were able to enjoy the kitchen, outdoor fire pit and inside fireplaces. The beds were extremely comfortable, all linens were cozy, and everything we needed for an easy get away was thoughtfully arranged throughout the cabins. This is a 10 star experience! Whether you are looking for a local get away, or a traveling from out of town, Camp Milagro needs to be on your must say list! It’s location feels private and secluded, yet is an easy walk to the river, and is also a short drive to downtown New Braunfels, Gruene, and other local attractions. We can’t wait to come back!

FABULOUS VIEWS and Unforgettable Experience!!
This place is spectacular. The views and serenity are unbeatable. I love the authenticity of these cabins. So much character and history. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and the help of Sophia and her team! 5 stars all the way around.

Camp Milagro was Fantastic
We booked Camp Milagro for our annual couples weekend getaway. The house was well equipped for 10 adults to stay. The fire pit was perfect and the views were amazing! The house was 15 minutes from town, and easy to get to restaurants, stores, etc. Sophia is a fantastic host. She's very thorough and was accessible if we needed anything. We will definitely stay here in the future!

A Fantastic Retreat!
The beauty and peace of this property simply cannot be captured in pictures or words. The owners have created something truly special here, attending to every small detail to ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful retreat. We gathered as a family with our adult daughters and their families, including three little ones 5 and under. Within an hour of arriving our grandson told me “I love this trip.” From walks to see wildlife and family time by the fire, to lush linens and a fully stocked kitchen…you will want for nothing. Make memories at Camp Milagro. We are so glad we did and are already looking for a time to return for more.

Never disappoints
We have stayed at Camp Milagro before for team building, and it never disappoints. This is the absolute perfect place to unplug, laugh, relax, and re-center. The scenery is breathtaking, the property is rustic and unique, there is easy access to the river, and nights by the campfire just top it all off. Since our last visit, they have added a beautiful one-of-a kind bathroom near one of the cabins making the stay that much more enjoyable. If you need to a place to get away from it all and rejuvenate the soul, Camp Milagro is an absolute must! I highly recommend staying here!

SHE SAID YESS!
I could not express how amazing Camp Milagro was! I approach Sophia with the idea of a surprise proposal for my sister and her boyfriend. Sophia was a wonderful host; she was so helpful with ideas and helped plan it out! It was a perfect surprise proposal on the top of the hill! I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without her! She thought through every detail and communicated with us throughout the whole trip! The property has wonderful views and it’s beyond peaceful! The cabins were so cozy and unique. We spent the day on the river then came back to the dipping pool too cool off! I loved it so much; honestly ready to book another trip to Camp Milagro!

Perfection!
First of all, Sophia the owner and manager is absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we anticipated. She knew our trip was a celebration for our family and left a beautiful gift box full of items to enhance our celebration as well as added decorations specifically geared toward it. Including some personal items to represent Texas A&M and the University of Arkansas!!!
The location is amazingly beautiful and was perfect for our mostly introverted family! We could have peace and serenity at the cabins and exercise our extroverted side socializing at the river. It is one of the only places I have found that you can experience the best of both worlds.
Peaceful and serene walks, family hangouts around the pool and campfire, cooking together and just sitting in the river and relaxing together. What more could you ask for?
The cabins are just so fun and quirky. The details that have been tucked here and there are a delight to discover.
Also, the separate cabins were perfect for our group of college graduates and parents. The kids were able to gather in a separate cabin and hang out until the wee hours of the morning while we slept peacefully in the main cabin. Speaking of sleeping, the bedding is luxurious and very comfortable!
We hope we can get everyone together at Camp Milagro again soon!
Thank you for sharing your special property with us Sophia and making our week extra special!

One of the prettiest places I have stayed.
We rented the cabins for the weekend, the cabins alone are awesome. Everywhere you look there is another door that leads to more history in the place. Then after the short trip down to the river you get a huge area to yourself and the water is gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back again in the near future.

74th birthday getaway
We traveled with our family of 12...in-laws, my 5, and my sister-in-law's 5 to Camp Milagro to celebrate a 74th birthday party. The location was perfect. This was our second time at this location and it was even better than the last. Sophia is constantly adding extra touches to make her property even better (ie. additional full bathroom, porch swings, rocking chairs, hammock, etc.) She texted each day to make sure there wasn't anything we needed. She is very kind. We will be back!
Note for disabled elderly with limited mobility...the property is an 1840's cabin. My mother-in-law requires full-time oxygen and is largely in a wheelchair. The main bathroom is large enough to accommodate the wheelchair, but main shower is not designed for a disabled person. I recommend one of the other showers for wheelchairs/disabled. The home requires steps to access it and we found the easiest path was the 3 or 4 steps on the right side of the dipping pool. We would put the wheelchair there and assist her with climbing that short amount of steps rather than the steps at the front of the house. It is so few that a person could lift the wheelchair by hand to get up those steps as well. There were plenty of electrical plugs for her oxygen machine including one out by the Adirondack chairs if we would have needed it (We didn't).
