House rundown and needs a thorough cleaning. Fridge didn’t work. Upstairs toilet has running water causing water inlet to open every 10 minutes which you could hear through the house at night. Fly screens were laying out laying on veranda. Very disappointed .

Sufficient for our large group
Capeview is a 1970's house with sufficient room for 8 people. We were 7, 5 adults and 2 children under 6 years.
The location and the land around the house itself were good. Near One Mile Beach and a short drive to Forster central and shopping centres. The house is dated but it is a holiday home not a forever home.
Some of the furniture could do with updating, not necessarily new, but functional. None of the 3 seniors in our party could utilise the lounge, the springs are shot.
As for the BBQ, it was reported as unusable in January 2021, nothing had changed in January 2022. The plate was very rusty, the gas bottle empty.
While the place in very near the ocean, it should be a constant that windows are cleaned regularly. Some were so dirty, you could not see through the glass. Others could not be opened at all. On arrival the downstairs shower recess was covered in a layer of sand, obviously missed during cleaning.
Some of the light fittings also did not work, while there was selection of globes in the pantry, they were not the correct ones.
The driveway is single lane, so a car shuffle was a constant exercise as we had 3 cars. The photos are deceptive, the driveway appears much wider than it actually is. There is no access to the garage. There is no street parking, it is a quiet cul-de-sac.
The question is always would we return? The answer is yes, the deficits did not overcome the pleasure of family time in such a useful space. As with any holiday home, bring a sharp knife!

Great location but very old dated house
Unfortunately the house was very dated and had a old musty smell when entering
There was no air conditioning
The hot water turned off
The dryer didn’t work
The soap holder in shower was broken and very dangerous
The shower head wouldn’t stay up
House Was tidy but could do with a thorough clean
Light fitting in stair well was full of cob webs

Great location
The bonus was having four bedrooms and two bathrooms and being in a great location. Although a great floor plan the home is sadly neglected. It would not cost a lot to do some minor repairs and touchups. The furniture and beds were comfortable and we would stay there again.

The property was in worse condition than we expected. The BBQ facilities (advertised as being available) were nowhere near working order. BBQ plate completely rusted over, no gas, whole BBQ area in a terrible state. (Broken glass /plates; tree branches and general dirt around the BBQ area). No communication from management after we messaged them about the BBQ was really disappointing. We had planned to use the BBQ on two nights and had to make other arrangements. Fridge was not working properly until Day 3 of our stay. Rear door was unable to be locked.

When only 3 people can have a short shower, and our other 4 guests either a cold shower or no shower at all, there is a problem.
Yes, I know to those reading this that this may sound very whiny, but when you are paying the amount we are, hot water shouldn’t be an issue.
We stayed during a rugby carnival which rained all day, and when we get back, and only 2 of the kids who are wet and muddy can have a shower, and the other 2 can’t, that’s not good enough. 1 braved a cold shower trying to get clean, the other needing to try to use baby wipes.
Also, when a property can accommodate 8 people, but only has 4 dinner plates, it makes having a meal together for 7 of us impossible.
Location was good in a quiet street
