The chalet was just perfect for us. We stayed in a gite (my daughter and I) which had a small but well equipped kitchen and a living room with a wood stove. Shower was excellent and we slept so well. There’s a large American style hot tub on the deck which was great after a day on the mountains. Kerry and Serge are both genuinely lovely and helped made the week so much fun. We got 6 days in Les Arcs and a massive dump of snow near the end of our week. Would have been hard to script a better trip!

Excellent location and breakfast.
Welcoming hosts.
Nothing.

A great location with a bus stop just over the road. Continental breakfast was plentiful with eggs offered too. Hot tub was a great bonus. Kerry and Serge are great hosts, very friendly and informative. They went out of their way to get us back to Geneva Airport after a National Rail strike totally disrupted our travel plans. Thank you for your hospitality, we would love to return.

Kerry & Serge were so friendly and helpful. Peaceful, rustic, self-contained old village location was just what I wanted. Excellent food and service.
Nothing really . WiFi often dropped in my room , though it was perfectly good in the lounge upstairs and I didn’t really need it anyway.

I liked everything about this place.
The host, the parking for my motorbike in their private garage, the very relaxing atmosphere, my room with balcony to sit and read and enjoy a cold beer from the honesty bar.
Also, the host provided some excellent tips for my onward journey, and I got to see some wonderful places that I might not have found.

Stay in an authentic renovated farmhouse with great views over the valley and the French Alpes, warm hospitality, nice and extensive breakfast, very helpful owners.

With possibly best hosts ever, Maison Caramel really feels like home with all the warm and cozy interior as well as comfy spaces to be used for all guests. As we skied all day and more or less slept the rest time, we could not use all the offered during our stay, like sauna and bathtub. The city is small with a couple of restaurants, which we visited only once when arrived as all the time is spent on ski resorts. The Maison Caramel has a good space with a fireplace to spend time with a beer or a soda, which is kindly offered by hosts for a very small fee, so no need to really buy anything or think about anything during the stay. All the information and help received from the hosts is worth more than money as at arrival you can get on track with all the needed activities, in our case skiing and not spend time on finding out what and where. We were picked up from Geneve airport by the hosts for a reasonable price which saved us some money. There is no need for a rental car as there is a bus stop right next to Maison Caramel with busses morning and evening. Excellent stay!
Could not find anything to dislike during our stay.

Even a bit far from the ski stations, but easy access to Les Arcs (a big parking in front of Funiculaire station). We could enjoy the wood stove and Jacuzzi after skiing.
Simple kitchen was acceptable, let me say could be better to equipe a larger pan for pastas, etc.

The hosts, the place, the atmosphere

It was our first time in the franch alps, and it was fantastique! We were looking for a relaxed and quite place after skiing around (Les Arcs, La Plagne and Val d'Isere) and it is what we found! Thank you Serge and Kerry for sharing your pasion for the winter mountains and for biking too (hopefully we'll be able to go back and discover biking paths around in summer time)! We had dinner with them twice and Serge cooks delicious local food! We wish you all the best!!!!

Hosts were superb, just could not do enough to help. Above and beyond!.

Adequate parking opposite the house. Beautiful views.
Access to a jacuzzi was a great unwind after skiing.
Good access to Les Arcs & La Plagne. From 6 - 30 mins max.

The location was perfect for hiking in the area. Kerry & Serge were fabulous hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and offered wonderful guidance as to hikes nearby as well as restaurants in the area. The rooms were very comfortable, breakfasts a delicious array of fruits, yogurt, breads, cheese, eggs, basically whatever we might have wanted.

Everything was perfect. I stayed a few days and cycled the Alps almost the whole day. Serge had perfect dishes prepared everyday. Kerry was very communicative and polite. For a cyclist, this can be a dream location. Serge is a book when it comes to tips, infos and suggestions. Breakfast was great also. clean rooms, excellent set up. everything was perfect. A safe storage space for your bicycle too.

Breakfast was great. and the owners are the best hosts ever. This place is commanded especially for people that had an independent laissez faire approach and don't need the personal every five minutes.
Towels should be bigger, no small refrigerator in the room, Toilet paper should be checked on a daily basis .

location was superb! The house has a great view over the mountains with balcony in the evening sun. there is a large living room to use as a guest. We had breakfast which was delicious with fresh fruits, juice and coffees the way you like it ; )
The hosts were very kind & helpfull and we had very pleasant conversations about all kinds of mutual interests. Lovely decorated rooms and all things clean and in good condition.
