About this villa rental
A gracious, first-class villa, perfectly located, sits majestically atop the hill of Dikastika, offering a breath-taking view of the North and South Aegean Sea, its islands and its countless beauties, stretching for miles and miles out into the Aegean.
Designed with an eclectic minimal architectural taste, this lodge was built to provide absolute comfort and relaxation fitting like a glove into the amazing rural scenery that surrounds it, making it the perfect place for families or a group of friends.
Equipped with anything a traveler could ever wish for: from a state of the art home cinema installation to satellite plasma 55 television, speedy internet connection and much more.
WiFi free access is available all around the property.
Its outdoor spaces include a dining area with BBQ equipment, which invites guests to gaze for hours on end at the marvelous view below, as well as an exceptional pool which will be an everyday reminder that the grey days of winter are long gone and warm, exciting summer has just begun.
All guest can live and feel in harmony with great comfort in this villa lodge.
Practically the entire 800 square meters villa will be yours as the owner(one sole person living in the upper residence ) is sharing his time between Marathon and abroad. You will get the absolute privacy feeling because there are not any other houses close and the breathtaking view from the top of the hill will give you a total relaxation feeling
Location and attractions:
The villa is situated 30km from Eleftherios Venizelos airport and 42km from the center of Athens, the exact distance of the classic Marathon run. Major highways, as well as the most important ports from where you can take trips to several islands, can be reached within a short driving distance.
The best option for getting around is to rent a car. Help provided for car rental upon request.
You will receive a brochure upon arrival with relevant info about the area “must do” attractions, restaurants, day tours, and much other info.
This will give you the absolute freedom to drive around the area or to any destination whenever you like. Τhere is a huge free parking space right outside of the house always available as well as a spacious garage.
One can visit nearby the Marathon Museum and the Tomb of Plataion, which was built in honor of the dead soldiers of the battle in Marathon (490bc), one of the most significant battles in Greek history. A few minutes’ drives you reach the archeological area of the Ramnounta, where you can catch the ferry boat to Nea Styra or South Evoia. 7 km away from the center of Marathon one can visit the unique marble dam with its artificial lake. Nature reserves cover all the landscapes around the lake, a host to thousands of migrating birds around the world. A great meeting point for the birdwatchers. Along the seacoast one can find many tavernas offering a variety of local specialties with emphasis on fresh seafood. Rafina port, the gate to the Cyclades islands, is 20 minutes by car.

Water sports enthusiasts should head for the beach at Schinias, which is an excellent windsurfing spot and is home to the Olympic Rowing Centre.
Schinias beach is the main draw for visitors to Marathon and is situated on the south-east side of the town, just a few short kilometers away. Schinias is regularly rated as one of the finest beaches in the Attica region, being long and sandy, and circled by pine forests, making for some excellent photographic opportunities.
The deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea make for excellent snorkeling and scuba diving, and it is possible to find many other secluded spots along the rocky coastline, that other tourists have missed. Sesi Beach is one such sandy spot, which has clear waters that are perfect for swimming.
