"Derwent River Villa" is a spacious, stunning newly renovated home on the Hobart waterfront.
Set on a spacious block of premium waterfront land, this masterpiece from the federation era strikes an imposing figure - a perfect home to bring the family or friends to truely enjoy your time in Hobart. Walking and biking tracks on your doorstep, a short stroll to the Lindisfarne village, unlimited WiFi internet, coffee machine, croquet, bowls and boules equipment and more. You will truely love this fantastic home.

Space
The lower level features multiple living spaces including generous lounge and family rooms both enjoying glorious views over the Derwent River and Mount Wellington. The open plan kitchen, dining living area is newly renovated this year and is a generous, warm and welcoming space with stunning views from all rooms.. Accommodation is provided by 5 bedrooms all very generous in size as well as a substantial, dedicated home office on the lower level. Upstairs boasts the newly renovated master suite with brand new ensuite adjoining sitting room and an upstairs balcony. 3 other bedrooms and a bathroom are located upstairs. The home is kept comfortable and warm with ducted heating in the main living areas and also offers the ambience of cosy wood heating options. Options for entertaining are plentiful with a gorgeous terrace at the rear that flows from the dining room as well as a covered veranda at the front of the home, ideal for taking in the afternoon sun and watching the MONA ferry pass by. Opening from the dining is a sun drenched courtyard perfect for sheltered entertaining. The manicured and stunning landscaped grounds are filled with sandstone walls, perfect lawns and established trees. The large front lawn has been designed as a croquet lawn and you can find croquet, boules and bowls equipment at the home. The orchard also has a swing set and trampoline for the children. Ideally located in the popular bayside suburb of Lindisfarne, the home is less than 10 minutes to Hobart's CBD, 15 minutes to the airport and a short walk to Lindisfarne Village with all it has to offer including cafes, shops, parks and reserves and public transport.

Guest access
Full access will be provided to the home and grounds. The seperate apartment cannot be accessed and has a locked gate.

Where possible, guests will be met upon arrival. Where this is not possible, a self-entry process will be provided. We'll be contactable via email or or phone anytime you need assistance.

This part of the Lindisfarne waterfront is lined by beautiful heritage homes that enjoy spectacular water & mountain views as well as fantastic peace & privacy. The location is safe, an easy walk to local cafes, supermarket & food-outlets. It's an easy 10min. drive to the Hobart CBD, 8min. drive to Eastlands mall or Bellerive Beach. Nearby Natone Hill & the waterfront walkway provide local walking & cycling trails & the nearby Geilston Bay & Meehan Range recreational areas provide great local mountain biking options!

Getting around
While proximity to local shopping & dining as well as proximity to Hobart city centre does allow for travel by bicycle, taxi or public transport we recommend a car to get the most from your holiday. Off-street parking is provided but there is no garage.
Other things to note

Type of home
This is our family home - made available to guests from time to time when we are away. There is also a seperate 2 bedroom apartment on the property with seperate access that is a holiday rental, please be mindful of apartment guests and noise in the courtyard area. You are welcome to book this apartment if you have a larger group. Please note we have a 7 night minimum stay from Dec 23 - Jan 10 and 3 night minimum stay over Easter. It is a 2 night minimum at all other times of availability.

We took three generations of family and spouses spread across 5 bedrooms and two floors for a milestone birthday celebration. Our small children delighted in the orchard, trampoline, gardens and toys and books provided. Grown ups enjoyed the many rooms and outdoor spaces with aspect to the beautiful garden and, of course, the river. The house is very well fitted out and comfortable. A second bike would be a useful addition so a couple could ride along the river.
