Very good location and good accommodation. Good instructions to get in to accommodation. Clean linens.
Few issues to improve upon.
- Clogged bathroom drain resulting in slow water clearance. Needs unclogging.
- Poor ventilation leading to a stuffy inside atmosphere.
- Unclean inside (roof top) of Microwave. I cleaned it as my son wasn't ready to use it.
- Bulb not working in the walk through area from living to the 2nd bedroom.
- Loose towel holder ring in bathroom. Came off.
- Shower area needs better cleaning as plenty of black Mould seen on the chipped walls.

The property was easy to find and the first key was hidden in an accessible place. The second key to the property required my husband to climb up using a flower pot to retrieve it! It was very centrally located and we especially enjoyed being able to pop next door to the delicatessen to buy breakfast! The decor had a heavy accent on poppies but the kitchen was very well equipped. Would be most suitable for a family with older children/young teens due to it's rather quirky layout.
It was not obvious when booking on the booking.com website that the third bedroom (likened by one of our group to Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs!) was only accessible through the second bedroom, up a steep, narrow staircase, which would not be suitable for small children or older adults. Unfortunately this meant that the fifth person in our group had to find alternative accomodation for the week. The central location meant that there was a heavy stream of other holidaymakers regularly passing our front windows, and the proximity to the delicatessan meant that the staff often also passed by our rear windows on their way to the storeroom. Perhaps not the best choice of property if you value privacy!
Beds were comfy but the bedding was a bit old and tired and could do with replacing. The age of the property meant that the bathrooms had been added into the spaces available, which in respect of the upstairs bathroom was very small. This was also accessed via the steep, narrow staircase and required some contortions to use the facilities! In the downstairs bathroom, the shower curtain rail is not properly fixed to the walls, which meant pulling the shower curtain across had to be a very delicate procedure, otherwise the whole lot came down! This happened several times during our stay.
The property could have done with having a clothes airer as there was nowhere to dry damp swimsuits or towels.
Overall, we made the most of the week but would be unlikely to book this property again.

The location was amazing and the host was very helpful
It is rather dated and needs modernisation
The shower temperature was hard to control as kept going hot then cold.

Difficulty parking.

Perfect location in the centre of town. Good value for money.
A little cold and damp in the house, and we couldn't work out how to use the shower.

Location ,the deli next door, great.
Little tired shower needs updating very noisy upstairs neighbor, toilet next to the bedroom the fan stayed on for a long time and is noisy,
Looks like the wires are loose feeding the bathroom heater bit dodgy especially in an old house could be a potential fire hazard. These are only minor issues easily fixed and would make such a difference.

We were actually relocated from this accommodation to a nearby one owned by the same family, which had a more child friendly staircase. I was grateful for the owner contacting me to confirm this.
The accommodation was an old cottage and everything we would expect from one having owned old properties ourselves in the past. They aren’t in “perfect” condition, this is part of their beauty! I found it to be clean, comfortable and the location was perfect just up from the quay. Thank you for a wonderful stay Veronica x
Nothing, it was good value for money.

Great location for a nice weekend getaway.

Fantastic location in the heart of the village. Good communication with the host, who described the cottage as quirky which it definately is. Very well equipt with a very comfortable bed. Great coffee and breakfast from the deli next door.
Nothing for us it was great although perhaps the layout and steep stairs way not suit some!

Just the perfect spot for a relaxing family break.

It was clean & comfortable for 4 people & central to everything
We didn't like the fact the third bedroom was what you would say was in the roof not easy to get to , in fact would say it was a hazard especially as there were 5 adults I wouldn't like a child to be up there

Clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. Beautiful location.
Stairs to second floor bathroom a bit precarious!

lovely property for one night, with everything you need
very warm at night, and the bed bases need a good clean
information left by owners was not up to date with wifi and telephone number

The location was ideal, just a stroll away from shops, cafes, restaurant and the beach.
The property needs updating and unless the curtains are drawn, there is no privacy.

well equipped in a good location
lack of hot water in shower. noises from upstairs steep steps to 2nd shower room

A beautiful place with an amazing location. just leave the car at the village hall and use the feet!

Great location in the middle of Blakeney with parking nearby, comfortable lounge and dining area. Well equipped kitchen.
The keys were left in a ridiculous location- very high up so my son had to climb on the window ledge to retrieve them, which was potentially unsafe. Second shower room was really too small to use, heating difficult to understand. No information about the local area, noisy neighbours. The kitchen sink needs moving as it was very uncomfortable to use.The property would be too small for five people.

Blakeney was an excellent location- lots of great places to eat very close. Silent at night. Great walks from the door. Very well equipped kitchen (we didn't use much as only staying 2 days), lovely cheerful decor.

The location is great
The cottage should have been cleaner. Its a very charasmatic cottage in an absolutely great location in an affluent part of Norfolk but the cleanliness lets it down. Following our arrival and cooking dinner we had to wash the plates and dishes before being able to eat our dinner off them - the plates had food stains on, serving spoons had stains and cups had dried tea/coffee in!! The floor in the bedrooms had quite a bit of fluff and dust so clearly hadnt been hoovered or swept. The shower was covered in limescale and appeared not be be cleaned despite Cif cleaner in the room. The stainless bin in the bathroom had dried dribble stains around it. The host was really apologectic, (especially after we sent photos) and got the cleaners to come back the next morning which was helpful and the least that could be done. To be honest the host either needs new cleaners or invest in a deep clean!

Great location
Dirty pans, spoons and dirt on floor. Vehicles parking outside front door

Central location in Blakeney, with nearby delicatessan, and easy access to local Spar shop and the bakery, plus very friendly pub a few doors down. near to quay and salt marsh causeway for walking my dog.
selector icons on cooker were a bit worn from cleaning, so working out the settings took a bit of time, when using the oven. print out of instruction manual would have been useful.

Location
In desperate need of modernisation. Upstairs bedroom./bathroom potentially dangerous to aceess due to stairs being near vertical with very narrow steps. Towels and bedding very old, kitchen handmade seemingly 20 years ago. Property was very tired and dirty in places. Dirt and grime outside, decking outside filthy. Wiring everywhere. Power went off twice while having a shower. Stained cups, old tea towels etc etc. This property is well below an acceptable standard especially for the price we paid. Great location though.
