Location
The stairs, we were warned but maybe living in a bungalow doesn’t prepare you for the mountain like stairs 😜
4.3
Great location in the centre of town; great value for money.
Nothing really! I wasn’t expecting absolute luxury - it was clean, tidy value for money, and I’d use it again.
4.3
Great location for the centre of town
And especially the John Peel Centre.
All the facilities we needed in the property were there at a good price.
Steve met us on arrival and went through the welcome pack with us.
The stairs are slightly steep, but Steve helped carry our bags up so it was no great issue.

Good location
Lots of stairs
4.3
location to town
steep steps
4.3
Convenient in the town centre.
Stairs a bit steep and narrow for the less able.
4.3
Well located for our needs in the middle of Stowmarket. Very comfortable bed.
Hot water temperature was set too low but owner increased it on request. Shower needs replacing but owner knows this and is waiting for a plumber. Very steep stairs.
4.3
Great bolt-hole in Stowmarket.
Stairs might be an issue for the less able

Location was brilliant as it was a short distance to the venue we were going to in the evening but noise at night was a distraction with the crossroads (traffic lights/pedestrian crossing) below apartment, with only staying one night it was ok.
The smashed pane of glass to the front door was unsightly and first impressions weren’t good and seeing it mentioned before from other reviewers would of thought it would be fixed by now.
Stairs - 2 lots, 2nd incredibly steep, hand rail again wobbly as mentioned before.
Milk in fridge was a nice extra, bed comfy (would of liked 2 pillows so used cushions from living room) plenty of space, clean, tasteful decor, shower head does drip so you need to leave it on the floor.
Steve the owner pleasant guy, made contact few days before arrival and on the day.
Noise in the evening due to location
Front door glass pane smashed - mentioned before from other reviewers still not fixed
Stairs - not for the faint hearted. Hand rail wobbly

This little flat had everything I needed. Good layout of rooms! Light and airy and situated amongst the local shops! Clean and comfortable! The 2 flights of stairs may not be for everyone, but the hosts meet you and help with luggage if you want. It's worth the stairs though to get some spectacular views of sunsets over the rooftops!

Location.
Communication. Cleanliness. Damage to shower screen. Linen and towels.
4.3
Good location.
Very noisy at night

Friendly hosts, good central location, clean flat with everything we needed on a one-night stay on a cycling trip. Host is also a cyclist and very helpful with planning the next day's route.
Nothing.

Great hosts, very nice flat
No parking, very steep staircase, shower not ideal

Clean and tidy. Great for 3 people. Very nice decor. Perfect for attending a family occasion in nearby Bury St Edmunds. Exceptional value for money.
Parking nearby is expensive and hard to find. Be aware the the stairs are 2 flights and could be difficult if limited physically.
4.3
Great town centre location, very comfortable
Wi-Fi was weak
4.3
great location just round the corner from the John Peel center. Had everything you need including fresh milk straight from a farm!
nothing - it was great

The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had all the kitchen equipment we needed to make breakfast and supper. It made a good base for visiting places in the rest of Suffolk and was excellent value for money.
There were no instructions to go with the induction hob. The shower dripped non stop but this could be corrected by .lying the shower head on the floor of the shower

Lovely little flat with separate bedroom - pretty and easy to live in. Completely independent facilities and some olde worlde charm. Cosy and warm too.
Rather noisy with traffic from street ( flat is just above a shop on a crossroads in Stowmarket centre-) - we didn't mind though, as windows could be closed for this season.

Breakfast was not included, a £5 voucher for breakfast was available for breakfast at Cafe below but it didn't open Monday or Tuesday & rest week not til 9am too late for me for breakfast
The front door, which was mainly glass. I received text to say it needed a little wiggle to text it to open. It needed a hard push to open & even harder one to shut it. Stairs were very very steep, handrail was loose. I worried everytime I used stairs. Emergency exit was was at bottom of these stairs & I worried how you would get out ok if needed to. There was no cooker in kitchen, just 2 ring hotplate & microwave. Not very good when staying for a week!! Cobwebs in kitchen & din8ng room. Fire extinguisher in living room hard to locate & dusty. Kitchen window would not shut. Plug got stuck in bathroom sink. Sink located behind door, so had to close door to use it. Would not stay here again

Friendly and personal welcome. Great location in the centre of the town.
Lovely pancakes including vegan choices in the cafe below.
Good value for an apartment.
Sticking front door was a slight irritant.

We didn’t have breakfast at the restaurant as it didn’t open until 10.00. However we ate in the restaurant at another time and it was very good. Upstairs at the restaurant was charming. We went to a very good little cafe around the corner for our breakfast.
The location was excellent very close to the station and right in the town center.
The front door was difficult to open and close, I was able to do it but my sister couldn’t. The shower was a very good pressure but the base was very slippery and the water drained away slowly. It really needed a rubber mat. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. There were plenty of blankets and other bedding.
4.3
The location was central. The welcome booklet was useful for the restraunts. The living room was spacious so I could do my yoga and the local milk was delicious.
The door was a little sticky and the shower had a drip leak. but no problem.

Second time staying here great hosts even better place to stay highly recommend

Steve was very helpful, gave us directions and all the help we needed to arrive in Stowmarket as it was our first. He became more like our tour guide giving us advices and places of interest than just providing accommodation.
This is a pure home with everything you can think of being available. There was nothing we could ask for at this property with the rate per night this has to be anyone's first choice coming to Stowmarket.
The property being in the town centre, is within 5 minutes walk to all shops, restaurants, banks, the Museum etc.
We are not going to look anywhere except this place anytime we are looking for a place to stay in Stowmarket.
