Condo was nestled in the back of Wild Dunes which was very nice. Not a lot of traffic towards the back and very nice walking areas. The condo could use some revamping in the master but other than that it’s a great space with a great porch for breakfast and dinners. The bed rolled a a bit and only had a mattress that could use replacing. Overall I would stay here again but would recommend a little touch up in the master bedroom. Communication with property manager was great and condo was stocked with all kitchen stuff you would want. This was a little getaway for my wife and I and we enjoyed this condo.

Very spacious for 1 bedroom. Great view. The AC broke in the night and we all woke drenched in sweat. They did repair and responded well.

We loved our stay at Port O Call, probably our third. We like the location, the screened in porch and the upper deck. Great ocean views! I believe this condo has been updated this year and it is very nice and clean. There were many TV channels in the listing but could not find NBC or CBS. Maybe a channel list could be added to the coffee table notebook.

Hubby and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was beautiful. Property was very clean and well maintained. Property managers replied promptly to all of my questions and even got us an early check in which was greatly appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much!

This condo was perfect for the two of us this week - good size, loved the screened balcony and couple of chairs rooftop. Ocean views for sure, and super easy walk to the beach. The kitchen is quite small, but sufficient. Overall the place was comfortable and updated and we were happy with it. It's located on nearly the end of Isle of Palms in a very quiet area, but the trade-off is a decent (15 minute-ish) drive to restaurants, grocery etc. In addition to lovely beach walks outside our door, we brought our bikes and enjoyed riding the path around Wild Dunes resort.

I booked the property only for a few nights but wish I could’ve stayed longer. It was the perfect little getaway that I needed.
I didn’t take full advantage of all the Wild Dunes had to offer, therefore I can’t speak to the restaurants or activities available. I did thoroughly enjoy having coffee on the rooftop balcony, watching the sunrise, and having breakfast on the screened in porch, the proximity to the beach was great, only a short walk.
I hope to stay there again in the future.
Thanks!

This was our 25th anniversary trip! We wanted to go back to Port O Call to enjoy a great beach and still close to everything in Charleston! The condo was perfect for us to enjoy go to beach in the mornings and venture out during the day and head back to the beach in the evenings! Highly recommend this condo!

place needs a renovation - very old and not exactly comfortable to have 2 or more -

Isle of Palms is an excellent place to vacation. I've stayed at several condos at Port O' Call in Wild Dunes over the years and as a result I have an extensive comparison group. This particular condo was a bit more run down then the others and not the cleanest. The owner does NOT provide cable or a streaming service to guests, the TVs are set to Roku but unless you have your own account you are out of luck so be prepared.

Excellent communication with the property manager - he was so helpful! Loved the sunset view on the top porch : )

Need to update washer and dryer and mattress. Loved the screened in porch and view of the ocean.

Property was updated and clean at check-in, but clear that it was pretty old. A little attention to the details would be helpful (old lights, chipped paint, toaster didn't work, etc). The bed was horrible. It was very loud anytime someone moved, and it was pretty broken in. Otherwise, the condo was in a great location and the beach was so nice. We loved the screened-in porch.

Awesome location, kind of a drive to the condo itself.
Had a good time. Very remote area, long drive. Awesome nonetheless. Would recommend and would definitely come back. Thanks for having me.

Beautiful island getaway
We enjoyed our stay on Isle of Palms. The area is beautiful and the condo was comfortable and cute. It was a fun, added bonus to have the top balcony. I was a little surprised that our view of the ocean was to the side of our building. The pictures made it look like it was right next to the ocean. We had a good view of it but could not see the sunrise. That being said, it was a short walk down to the beach. We enjoyed exploring Charleston, some plantations and riding bikes on the island.

Long weekend
Even though the weather did not break until the last part of our WE, our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely come back!

Location Location Location
First, the guy who manages the property was very easy to communicate with and was sympathetic to our leaving early due to a medical emergency. Second, the location of this place is fabulous! It is in a very safe area. This unit has a clear view of the beach and ocean and an amazing sunset view. It was easy to get into "town" as it was just a short drive. The screened in porch was well worth it and the roof top deck was incredible! Finally, the unit is cute but old. There are some maintenance issues such as some of the outlets and lights not working, dinged up paint, etc. My only real suggestion is to fire the cleaning crew. The bathroom and kitchen were clean enough but the rest of the unit was dirty. There was dust and hair everywhere. The bathroom and HVAC filters were caked with dust and dirt. It needs a complete deep clean (in my opinion) as it seems the cleaning crew just touch the bathroom and kitchen. That said, we would go back in a heartbeat due to the location and screened in porch. We would just bring cleaning stuff.

We had a great week! Walked the beach 2x’s a day and then reading by the pool! We ate great seafood! So a wonderful trip

Pleasant stay but could use some extra amenities
My husband and I came to IOP for a short weekend stay. We chose this property for proximity to the beach, and you can't beat the short walk (just down an elevator and about a minute walk and you're there; same for the pool). The beach had very few people on it and was very beautiful. We had fun collecting seashells during our walks.
The property was clean but a little more run down in certain places than I anticipated and seemed like a DIY renovation. Just lots of finishing touches that could have used a little more care and attention. And a woman's touch. The bed was fairly comfortable but it does squeak quite loud when getting in/out. The highlight of the property isn't the porthole up top, which we only went on when we were checking out the place, but the screened-in porch, where we ate breakfast every morning and had an evening drink. It was comfortable and enjoyable.
Just a few more amenities would have given this property a huge boost in my mind. We flew in, so we didn't have access to beach towels, beach chairs, etc. Those things are not on site (though there are extra bath towels). You can rent beach chairs from a local company for the day, but our itinerary was such that we could only spend an hour or two on the beach at a time, so that expense didn't make sense for us. Small things, like a liquid hand soap in the kitchen, would have been nice, rather than using dish soap to wash hands.
I liked the layout in that you can close off the bedroom while still having access to the bathroom from the living room/kitchen area. You can close all the doors/curtains/blinds and get it pretty dark in there so the morning sun didn't wake us too early.
This property is pretty deep into Wild Dunes. Although I thought I would like the more remoteness of this location, it definitely did add extra driving time every time we went into Charleston/Mt. Pleasant/Sullivan's Island, which we did more than I thought, as there aren't a ton of dining options right within Wild Dunes.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but with a few added touches, this property would have met or exceeded our expectations. .

End of summer getaway
Renting this unit was super easy and it lived up to the online pictures and description. Pros...Waking up to that stunning view of the beach and ocean couldn't be beat! We also really enjoyed stargazing with a glass of wine on the rooftop deck (we could actually see the Milky Way with our naked eye!) The screened in deck was also another favorite spot to enjoy the gentle breezes from the ocean and the area was very quiet. All the basics are supplied including towels, sheets and kitchen utensils. The cons...the condo is a little tired, showing some slight wear and the bed is hard and creaky. The appliances were showing their age and didn't work that well. The basic supplies are there but you will need to shop for anything extra, like more toilet paper, soap, beach chairs/umbrella, etc. That being said, the view and proximity to the beach and pool far outweighed any negatives. Alec was very responsive and helpful to our questions. We had one of the most relaxing trips to the beach ever!

Needs some love
This condo needs some serious love. Shower door handle falling off. No ice maker. Railing going to the crow nest broken and a safety hazard. Dirty wash cloth left in the shower. We expected more for the price

Great Long Weekend Getaway
Property very accessible to the beach and pool, well laid out and comfortably accommodated 3 of us, one night we had 5 but still worked with the pull-out couch and trundle bed. Was nice to have access to the propane grill to cook out steaks one evening! Beautiful views from the master bedroom and screened in porch and 2nd level deck!

Disappointed
This condo was very disappointing. This condo needs a total rehab. Not only does it need a total rehab, but it was also very filthy. Floors were dirty, shower doors were rusty and very moldy. Comforter and pillows showed signs of soiling, Furniture cushions showed sings of soiling. Window blinds broken and non functioning. The mattresses need replaced, squeak loudly and sink in. Couldn't sleep. This condo should not be rented out in this current condition. We will never return to this condo. We even had to have a plumber come out and snake the shower drain.

Great location, needs to be cleaner
Great location in the private Wild Dunes community. Walk to the beach was 5 min. Even though this unit isn't on the end facing the ocean, there was a good view. Crow's nest and screened deck were great!
I spent a couple days trying to decide if the unit was dirty or run-down, and decided it was both. We arrived around 7 the first night and it would have been more of a hassle to call and get housekeeping to come than just clean it myself. The details in cleanliness are skipped - around the toilet, the shower, etc. I found it extremely weird there was only one kitchen towel and half a used sponge. Yuck! It's best practice to get new kitchen linens daily, and our stay was three days. The shower door is broken and the laundry closet was gross.
The space in the unit was good. We liked the option of the extra bed in the foyer. Lots of space for our luggage.
Overall decent, but way too grungy for my taste.

Lovely vacation on IOP!
We've stayed at Port O'Call twice now and this second time was definitely our favorite! The condo is updated, very clean, and had everything my husband and I needed. We are expecting our first child in August and plan to come back next year with him and stay in this same listing. The views of the beach from the screened in porch (which can also be seen from the bed) and the top roof deck are gorgeous. Alec & Nathan who manage the property are always just a text away if you need anything (we didn't, but was nice to know they are easily reachable). Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, the bathroom was updated and very clean, the bed is very comfortable, AND the condo was cleaned early so they let us know we could check in early if wanted to (always a nice bonus). Thanks again Nathan & Alec- we'll see you next year!

Good little condo
Condo nice; enjoyed a quick weekend beach trip here. There weren’t a lot toiletries such as soap bars (one for whole place; could have used two) but all in all a good stay. Couldn’t figure out the sound in bedroom tv but that was very minor. This location is super close to Huey’s at the golf club for a good lunch. Good pool.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It is located inside a gated community with lots of great sidewalks in the shade mostly for walking or riding bikes. It was great staying so close to the beach. You can even see the ocean from bed! The screened in porch was also a plus...we enjoyed having our morning coffee out there. The little port thingy on top was really useless in my opinion. You don’t see it in the pictures but you have to go up a spiral staircase to go up there and your just out in the sun. I never saw anyone else on theirs either. Also like another reviewer said you can bang your head on the staircase. My husband found that out while bringing in the luggage. It’s located right by the door when you enter the condo. Not a deal breaker though just something to be aware of. Another note...they have a loading and unloading zone in front of the buildings and a push cart to carry all your luggage up on the elevator. So don’t worry about being on the 3rd floor if you can’t do stairs. The unit was clean and they also supplied small travel size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap, kitchen soap, 3 dishwasher tabs, one extra garbage bag, 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels. I think I saw laundry detergent but we didn’t use it as we were only there 4 nights. Like others have commented about the mattress...it was very firm. All in all I would stay here again! You can’t beat the location.

Great stay and in a nice condo
My wife and I stayed April 15th through April 18th 2021 We enjoyed the location and the condo was very nice. I read where some people had trouble with the mattress on the king bed. We did not have any issues at all. the bed felt comfortable and I do have back issues. the rest of the condo was very nice. the updated floors were great. The place could use some paint in a few areas but we really enjoyed the condo. The views of the ocean were outstanding. all in all the condo was really nice and we would definately stay there again.

Spring Break?
We drove an extra 400 miles south to try to get some warm weather and “thaw out”...unfortunately we ended up with walks on the beach wearing gloves and ski coats. We made the best of it and this property is beautiful. Isle of Palms is really fun & safe for biking. The property made us feel like we’re at the beach and kitchen was well stocked, so we cooked all our own meals. One of the pictures made us believe we could walk out onto the boardwalk to get to the beach but we ended up with a third-floor unit, which was very nice - just not what we had expected . Also we arrived about 9:15 PM and we were confused on how to find the unit-owner was very helpful & quick to resolve by phone.. There is an IOP shuttle and we used it once -driver was polite and everything was clean/wore masks..
