Beautiful location; good dinner and massage
Absolutely disappointing and incapable staff; hotel portrays itself as “activity hotel” but offers hardly nothing; no room cleaning in 3 days despite demanding price; take no responsibility for non-working charging of e-cars; no timely information on closing times of reception/ dinner times so you arrive and nothing is open; breakfast mediocre

beautiful scenery, fantastic nature, great chalet ambiance
room service could be better

The hotel is on the hill so it is very quiet. Scenery is absolutely beautiful and it is easy to drive to the other beautiful lakes nearby. It takes you 10 minutes to walk to the lake and you can swim there.
The view from the restaurant terrace is absolutely fantastic! It compensates all the less desirable things in the hotel.
The swimming pool is old fashion and not inviting.
If you stand in the room balcony and look you will see a carpark and workshop. If you just sit there and look out, it is fine. You don't see them.
The bed is very hard. Only later we read that you can ask for soft mattress topper at the reception, of course, it depends if it is available at that time.
The kitchen worktop is too small to cook anything in my opinion.

Charming, comfortable, and quiet accommodation, close to Grundlsee. The room was spacious and really nice. The environment is incredible :)
Breakfast was served in the room, but it was challenging to select from the possible meals, and choosing the right quantities wasn't obvious either. Price/quality was not the best one.

the lake view was stunning. Also, staffs reception and help was quite positive.
Our chalet unfortunately was at the back and had a slight mountain view and no lake view, so was a bit disappointing. However, we managed to access the terrace freely and walk to the lake easily.
The car par facility is limited.
The terrace area is small and did not accommodate enough numbers. We had to free some space in the terrace one day for yoga session class, which made things crowded.
Home service menu is limited

The location next to Grundlsee provides beautiful lake scenery
The chalet resort experience was disappointing
The chalet was quoted as being 30sqm, but in fact, the entrance and bathroom take more than half. the actual living space is less than 15sqm. It was overcrowded to have breakfast in the chalet. The overall design of the room seems poorly thought through, eg>
- The shower has no curtain or glass panels. This means that you end up with a wet floor, regardless of how careful you are. The gray tiling and the lack of curtains reminded me of my teenagehood - as a hockey player I would end up showering in changing rooms or stadiums or sports halls. Endearing, but not was I was hoping for a luxury weekend away
- On the first night we were not offered to have breakfast at the restaurant but rather in our small living area chalet. The table provided was shaky on the floor. We were 3 people but only 2 chairs were provided for us.
- The kitchen is overly supplied with large appliances but there is no room to place them. I ended up having to place a fancy coffee maker on the floor, given that the countertop space was less than 20 cm.
- The chalet decoration is mainly made of wood, but the finishing shows poor materials and craftsmanship, with rough edges and flaky wood. We tried hard not to get splinters on our fingers. I am sure younger people find it very instagrammable but to anyone a bit more worldly, it simply looks cheap.
We had dinner at the Seeblick restaurant. My husband's sous-vide meat was still hard and full of fat, he could not eat it. In Austria, children's dishes are always slathered in ketchup and tend to bring some sweet treats. I specifically asked the waiter not to bring them, and they still showed up on my son's plate.
On checking out we headed to the reception, from where we received our keys and all information. The clerk insisted that we should check out at a different location, only for chalets. We had not been informed this existed upon arrival and it was not clearly signaled.

I loved everything about our stay: the chalet’s rustic but tasteful decor, great view over the valley and the lake, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I liked the view of the lake at the breakfast area and the breakfast was awesome. Also, all the staff were super friendly and helpful.
There was no daily room cleaning which is a real disappointment for that hefty price. For the same price, you would usually get an ultra-luxurious hotel room with full service. They try to market it as an "appartment" but usually that would be much much cheaper in Austria.

The location, which is 10 minutes walking distance from the lake (Grundlsee) is lovely. The terrace of the restaurant has a fabulous view over the lake. The facilities are brand new and are done in a very nice style.
The balcony of the appartment is overlooking the parking and a utility area. The lake cannot be seen.
We could not find the tennis courts that were indicated.

The chalets are well appointed with clean and functional equipment. The sauna was a luxury. Breakfast was delivered and was good if a little repetitive. The finish of the chalets is well done and the village area cute. The hotel restaurant has an impressive view.
Our chalet, number 11 overlooked a car park. The noise of lorries and cars unloading was unacceptable and not in fitting with the description or expectation of a holiday in Grundlsee. The chalet was close to other chalets / apartments and we were constantly overhearing conversation. We had a hot tub outside, but who would use a hot tub overlooking a car park.
The chalet was self catering so maybe we shouldn't have expected a cleaner, though for the price it was a surprise that the rooms were not cleaned during our stay. Cleanliness was also lacking in the corners whereas I had expected spotless.
We paid a lot and had high hopes for the private chalet experience, which was far from the reality. In my opinion, the experience was not in line with the price paid.

Above the lake with a beautiful view. Breakfast served to the room in a basket. Well equiped. Stylish design. Large bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. The terrase offers some privacy! Walking distance to the village. 15 mins
