About this house rental

Our guests comment on how unique it is to have access to a whole house, close to beaches and in a quiet street with a huge back deck overlooking a large and private back yard. We aim for our guests to feel relaxed as soon as they open the front door. Many guests comment that our house reminds them of the beach holidays they themselves experienced as children. For personal safety, we have implemented an enhanced cleaning program with hospital grade cleaning products and the provision of sanitiser and liquid soap.
Port Macquarie is a fantastic all year destination. The weather is mild and sunny and the water temperature varies between 20 - 24 degrees. A 5-10 minute walk from the end of our street will take you to Town Beach, with lifesavers on duty all year. A swim and coffee at Town Beach is a perfect start to the day. The migrating humpback whales can be viewed, between May and October, from the coastal path and the reserve at the end of the street, 20 metres from your front door.
Rainbow lorikeets love the nectar on our flowering grevillias in our front garden, with a newly laid lawn and more Australian native plants to attract birds.

Perfectly positioned on Port Macquarie's beautiful 9km coastal path, you are minutes from beaches, cafes and the CBD. Take the coastal path 10 minutes north for your morning coffee and swim at Town Beach or take the path south for 10 minutes to Flynns Beach and a great breakfast at Sandbox. Walk into town along the coastal path and breakfast on Town Green at Little Shack. Port City Bowling Club and tennis courts are a 10 minute walk. Two golf courses are ten minutes by car. Wifi and a smart TV will keep you entertained at home.
Having travelled overseas, staying in online rentals, our priorities for a relaxed holiday include a comfortable bed, clean house, proximity to local attractions and access to local knowledge.

Our refurbished beach house has 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with double and single bunks. The living and dining areas lead onto a large covered deck with bbq overlooking a huge backyard and tropical garden with plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around. Downstairs is a second shower and toilet and plenty of storage for bikes, surfboards, fishing gear and golf clubs. Bring the family pet to enjoy meeting new friends at leash free Nobby's Beach.

Places to explore around town include the skateboard park, surfing beaches, restaurants on Town Green, exercise circuits at beaches along the coastal path, weekly markets, a vibrant cafe culture, picnic areas with bbq, an unique Koala Hospital, convict history, local zoo, Historical Museum and wineries.

We were on our way to northern NSW, and stayed for a couple of days on our way. Our dog was very welcome, and the whole experience was excellent. Communication, cleanliness, location were all great. We have never been to Pirt Macquarie before. It is a great town, with lots of excellent views and all the facilities are there. Would like to come back to experience this area in the future.

This was our second stay for our whole family including our 2 large dogs. The house and garden is spacious, clean and comfortable. Lee has included all the amenities we needed to make our 5 nights very pleasant and enjoyable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is large and well equipped. Located in a quiet residential street that suited us perfectly. Loved that the property is dog friendly. We have a lovely stay here. The house is an easy walk to the beach, yet in a quiet location. The house has plenty of living spaces and a good cook’s kitchen. Recommended.

This house just feels so homely the minute you walk in. The location is perfect for a nice walk with great views along the coastal track to beaches, cafes and the town. The yard is fully fenced and safe for children and pets. Our two dogs loved the deck and yard with plenty of room to run around and nice areas to rest in sun and shade. The hosts have provided everything you need to make your holiday enjoyable and they made the checkin and departure process easy. The home was so clean and lawns emaculate. We hope to return again soon.

We had a great stay at Windmill. The accomodation has everything you will need to get across with line for a stay including some basics like oils, salt pepper and spices for cooking. The location has a pleasant coastal walk into hub of Port Macquarie. Communication with Lee was prompt and we greatly appreciated the luxury of having our fur child accompany us and a later check out on request. I would definitely stay at Windmill again.. Many thanks to Lee and Tracey for providing this affordable accomodation in a sort after area.

If you are looking for great beaches, relaxed living, good weather and fantastic walks, Port Macquarie is for you and Lees place is perfect to do it in. So close to everything you need, Lee has covered all bases with a magnificent property to stay in. Thank you. Even needed a one night stay in hospital and they couldn't have been nicer either.

This was a great choice for a midway break on our way down the coast. Worked well for the four of us plus our dog. Spacious and clean with lovely deck and garden that we sadly didn’t have time to enjoy. Excellent location near the beautiful coastal walk. Just a note that if the second toilet and shower are important to your stay that they are located under the house.

This was a great place to stay. I was travelling with my cat to Brisbane from Canberra. I know most people have their dogs but my cat felt quite at "home" within 24 hours. He loved sleeping in his cat bed on the floor in the lounge room with the sun streaming in through the windows in the morning. Place was very clean and well kept. Bed was super comfortable and location was central but quiet. I would definitely come back and stay here even if I didn't have any fur babies with me.
