Accessed via a long rustic dirt road that winds through salt water marshes, you will arrive at this truly unique one-of-a-kind setting. The house is situated literally on its own private coastal sand dune and sitting alone on a secluded peninsula that juts out into the water. The property offers the utmost in privacy & has absolutely stunning 360 degree water views; from one side you view out across Blackfish Creek to Wellfleet Harbor and beyond to Cape Cod Bay, the other side of the house looks out into pristine salt marshes and rivers. Once here, wander down your own gently sloping staircase with direct access to a semi-private sandy salt water beach waiting for you right at your toes. From here you can walk along the beach, wade into the harbor's shallow tidal waters or explore the flats.
The house sits on the banks of where Wellfleet Harbor, Blackfish Creek and Loagy Bay all converge. Enjoy a wade into these safe, warm and calm shallow tidal waters, which are equally great for the kids. At low tide you can walk hundreds of yards out on the flats and to various sand bars, while hunting for hermit crabs, shells etc. and see up close and personal the oyster farms that yield the renowned Wellfleet oysters. For deep water swimming, high surf and world class beaches, we offer a free parking pass to the nearby Cape Cod National Seashore, including the famous Marconi Beach which is less than a 5 minute drive away. Numerous other town and state beaches are within a short driving distance.
The house has a rarely seen ultra-functional layout offering dual master bedrooms both with en-suite private bathrooms and sitting areas overlooking water as far as the eye can see. The slightly larger of the 2 master suites features a queen size bed and updated bathroom (shower stall, no tub). The other master suite offers a queen size bed with original bathroom (shower stall, no tub). The 3rd bedroom is small and ideally outfitted for kids as it has bunk beds. All the bedrooms are on the 2nd level of the house. The 1st floor main level has a large living area with dual couches, one of which is a full size pull-out sofa sleeper which sleeps 2. There is a fully applianced kitchen with open design and a small breakfast bar/island. The separate dining area overlooks the harbor and beyond with 180 degree water views. There is an additional 1/2 bathroom on this level. For those needing to plug in and do some work while away, there is an office with desk on the 2nd level which overlooks beautiful, peaceful rivers and salt water marshes. New state-of-the-art air conditioning system recently installed! Please note there is a spiral staircase required for access from the main living level up to the second floor bedrooms/office and then up to the roof deck.

To wrap our stay up in a nutshell, 4 days before our stay the landlord let us know there was a problem with 3 dogs (one is a service dog). Communicating is ALWAYS 50/50. He told me I'd forfeit entire pmnt of our 2 week vaca, he didn't even want our golden retriever bc of the hair/his allergies. It was last min for us to find sitters so I ended up going back/forth to see my family twice during the 2 weeks (3 1/2 hr ride in each direction) That aside, the place was dingy, not well kept, screws missing out of wall vents that were sticking out, our 5 year old fell into one that slashed her thigh. He showed no concern of the child whatsoever when I told him about the vent. The gas grill for family cookouts never worked, he told us to try and fix it bc his maintenance guy "does not do grills". When we didn't want to mess with a gas grill he said it was junk anyway, just use it as a charcoal grill! When I offered a solution to purchase from a place on the cape nearby that delivered, he had the nerve to state in his email that he only wanted "marine quality" grills. The grill at the house was FAR from marine quality, it was a piece of junk. The ac filters were COMPLETELY clogged (I wonder how that affects his allergies???), one exit from the kitchen was completely blocked off bc the decking had no steps, completely dangerous. The plus of the house is it has beautiful views and it was nice to watch the oyster fishermen. I would NEVER even recommend this house to my worst enemy!

This was the second time that my daughters and I stayed here. Its a really fun location, and a fun property with the roof deck, spiral stairs (my girls LOVE both), fantastic views, and easy access to Wellfleet harbor.
The beach is secluded, but is accessed daily by local oyster farmers (which I found endlessly entertaining) as well as a handful of locals. Even so, we were most often the only people on the sand.
The bay is very shallow, with no real surf to speak of, but there are numerous Atlantic facing beaches nearby for when the kids want to play in the waves. We used kayaks to take advantage of the water at the property, which was a highlight for us. The girls really liked paddling out into the bay and landing at any number of secluded beach locations, facing deeper parts of Wellfleet harbor.
The owner (Jeff) was friendly and helpful, and easy to communicate with. But frankly, the pre-prepared "user guide" had all the information that we needed.
We will almost certainly be visiting again.

We are long time Wellfleet lovers and were really pleased with this house, tucked between the Bay and the salt marsh. It's tides, sunsets, sand and water in a secluded setting. The beach is right outside. The house itself is lovely and very well equipped. Jeff, the owner, communicates very well and clearly. Two minor notes which could pose a slight problem depending on your group. The staircase is steep and spiral and the third bedroom is very small with just two bunk beds. We were fine though. If you love Wellfleet and enjoy privacy in a unique house and setting, this is a great choice.

The house was perfect. Each bedroom with its own bathroom suite and water views from every room. It was a wonderful week and Jeff was wonderful to deal with.
I am looking forward to returning!!

We were captivated by the ever-changing tides and light. We booked this house to get a dose of seaside relaxation. Our visit was in early April and we enjoyed seeing the businesses that close for the winter begin to re-open. others who have stayed here we were fascinated the first time that low tide drained the water on the Bay side of the house, revealing all the oyster farms. (And looked forward to each new low tide to see it again.)
Our host, Jeff, sent a House Guide and arrival instructions before we came and was responsive when we had house questions. The kitchen had a range of pans and utensils - everything we needed. Our bed was comfortable and the shower had immediate hot water. We had lovely weather the first few days and a Nor'easter mid-week - I think it is always a little windy here which I am sure is welcome in the heat of summer. We did day trips to Provincetown, Chatham, and various National Seashore Beaches. But much of the time we just enjoyed the views in all directions from the house and walks along the beach. Definitely on our list for a future return visit.

We had a great one week stay. The views in every direction are remarkable and the in- and out-flows of the tide add a calming rhythm to the day. We immediately felt comfortable in the house (which is probably the highest compliment I can give a rentail). Jeff is a great host and the house just naturally makes you want to have family meals around the dining table or to grab a nook, a book, and a view to read. An unseasonably cool, cloudy, and sometimes wet week meant that we did not get the perfect sunsets or clear starry nights we were hoping for, but I have no doubt they would be amazing. The one thing to mention is that being on the marshy/bay side of the Cape, there are some biting bugs to contend with, so you'll want to have some bug spray when you go outside. With that said, I'm not sure you can call a vacation successful if you do not leave with a bit of a sunburn and a few bug bites.

We had the pleasure for staying at this property for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is private yet accessible-while we expected some flooding it never impacted our ability to access the property or elsewhere. The bedrooms were spacious and the view from all windows was spectacular. Special treats were the sunsets, sunrises, and oyster beds right outside our windows. Jeff was a very accommodating host attending to all details before, during and after our stay. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Amazing location. Unique house. Loved the deck, watching the oyster farmers. Generally had a great week. Perfect for two couples.
5.0 / 5.0
My main concern after booking this property was that the actual place would not match what was advertised. I was very happy to find that it is exactly as shown, even better in a few aspects. For example, the rooftop is amazing. We enjoyed coffee in the morning, drinks in the evening, and amazing star gazing with a nice breeze to keep any bugs away. It was entertaining to see the changes from low tide to high tide. Beautiful Marconi beach is only 3 miles away and we took advantage of the season pass Jeff provides. The 3 bedrooms were clean and comfortable. One was a lot smaller than expected with only enough room for a bunk bed but that did not impact our experience. Lastly, Jeff was very responsive and thorough with the information he provided. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

My two daughters and I (they are 11 and 13) had a wonderful time during our stay. Communication with the owner/manager was excellent, although once on site, we hardly needed to reach out at all. Everything was essentially as advertised, and the location was great. Perhaps my one criticism was that the 3rd bedroom (with the bunk beds) was REALLY small. That said, my girls still chose to sleep in there, rather than choose another option. But aside from that small detail, I really have no significant criticisms.
So, what was good? Well, the location was fantastic. I didn't fully appreciate what it meant to be located "on the flats" - at low tide, the ocean was incredibly far away, and the bay in front of the house became a field of oyster beds. We had arrived at low tide, and I was initially concerned that we might not have the "beach front" experience that I had been hoping for. Well, I need not have been worried. At high tide, the bay was lovely. We were able to kayak far and wide, or just hang out on the beach and enjoy the calm waters. The presence of the oyster beds seemed to generate a huge amount of ocean wildlife, and the girls were entertained with sea shells of every variety, crabs, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, sea snails, etc.
At low tide, the oyster beds would emerge from the receding water, and then local oystermen would appear, driving right out into the ocean. It was really fun to wake each day, and watch them at their work while relaxing with my coffee.
The house itself was fantastic. A really fun place, with the spiral stairs, the roof deck, and the walls of glass. On our first night, the girls and I lounged on the roof deck, where the star gazing was fantastic. We not only were able to spot satellites passing overhead, but we saw a number of shooting stars as well.
Provincetown was just a 25 minute drive away, which made it easy to visit multiple times. And locally, there were great beach options (for when you wanted REAL waves), and countless excellent restaurants.
I can easily see us visiting again.

Secluded with beautiful views
My husband and I along with our two children-14/12 and dog enjoyed our stay here. Jeff was easy to work with and shared many tips and local recommendations. This house is off the beaten path providing privacy and beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here taking in the lovely scenery, walking the beach, exploring the surrounding area and relaxing as a family. The welcome bag was a nice touch—including several local products and gifts.

spectacular view in Wellfleet
The view here is amazing. Fabulous sunsets and it is interesting to watch the fisherman tend their shellfish harvesting at low tide. As others have indicated in their reviews, there is a lot of delayed maintenance in this rental.

Spectacular views & location
The views were spectacular! Loved the roof deck which we frequented often and the private location. The sandy beach was great for walks and were fascinated watching the oystermen on the bay. The pros are the location, privacy, beach and unobstructed views! The house was neat and clean. Very nice gas grill and loved the teak deck chairs. Jeff was very responsive and provided detailed information and helpful resources and recommendations, which was greatly appreciated. The opportunities to improve would be to replace the mattress in the second bedroom which was sagging and uncomfortable. Additionally it would be helpful to provide a top loading 5 gallon water dispenser. The water has very high sodium and not palatable at all, which required us to purchase gallons of water and bags of ice to use during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed ourselves!

Great Location
A beautiful location and home. Enjoyed thoroughly.

Gorgeous view, interesting location.
Found previous reviews and posted details largely accurate. Something I did not notice anywhere is that the road to the house floods in certain high tides - but this was never a problem for us - check the tide charts and the road is only unpassable for an hour or two at the most.
The views from the house are great - over the bay to the front or marsh to the back. If you are not familiar with the bay side, you might be surprised at the oyster activity at low tide. Oyster farmers drive down onto the beach to work their farms daily. Interesting to watch, but maybe to some that would be a turn off. It can also be very windy, which was of course not a surprise, but it really did howl for a couple of days. The sheltered marsh-side deck was nice on those days.
The beds and furniture are comfortable and functional. Some of the pieces (e.g. coffee table) are very basic, but a little out of place in a high end rental.
The spiral stairs were fine for us, but you'll end up using them a lot to access the BR's.
Wellfleet is great, from here you have great options - national seashore, kettle ponds, P-Town all very close by.
Owner's instructions were completely clear and any questions were answered promptly.

Picturesque view
This property is in a breathtaking location! The views are stunning and the rooftop is perfect for star gazing. Jeff is extremely thorough in providing information about the workings of the house, house rules and activities in the area.
The house is definitely a work in progress and has some quirks. The two master bedrooms are spacious with great views, comfortable beds and renovated, en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom is the size of a closet with no access to a second floor bathroom other than going through one of the other two bedrooms.
For the price of the rental I expected more luxurious furnishings. Photos make everything look good but the reality is older, uncomfortable couches, and a kitchen that was very disappointing. The refrigerator and range are in poor condition, and the “cupboards” seem like painted plywoo The two first floor deck areas could not be enjoyed because the chair cushions were so stained and dirty that no one wanted to sit on them.
I appreciate that Jeff has obviously made improvements to the property, but the remaining work to be done is not reflected in the rental cost.

The Views!
This is really an incredible property. The views are spectacular and the location is secluded enough that all sounds of the outside world are not heard. The house could use a bit loving care but really it’s all about the location. The owner, Jeff, is easy to communicate with and very helpful and thorough as to house items and also gave us helpful hints as to local doings. We stayed 2 weeks - didn’t want to leave. Enjoy!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Providing a very unique 270 degree view/vista, this property falls into the “WOW” category. Don’t pass it up if you have the opportunity.
Sadly, there were a myriad of small, but troublesome, downsides all of which were avoidable with proper attention and property management ( overgrown shrubbery, old and worn furniture, blinds, rugs, appliances, etc).
If you can—and should —overlook these failures and embrace the pristine views, you’ll experience a wonderful time.

Memorial Day Weekend Escape
We booked Jeff's home in Wellfleet as our first family getaway after nearly a year of no vacations. The house's location was a dream, situated on its own sandy point in a sheltered salt marsh bay. We loved watching the tide come in and out, hiding and then revealing the oyster beds where the famous Wellfleet oysters grow. The house's layout was great for our family - my parents had their own room, my husband had a workspace in our room, and the kids had bunk beds. The living area was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the streaming TV was much appreciated when the weather took a dramatic turn.
Our host Jeff was incredibly helpful in offering tips to make our stay more comfortable (watch out for that high tide near the full moon!) and also providing recommendations for places to visit and dine in and around Wellfleet. We loved Van Rensselaer's restaurant just up the road and the Audobon Sanctuary was a nice place to visit.
Unfortunately the weather was not what we hoped it would be for our getaway and we were confronted with several days of severe rain and wind storms. The house itself was warm and comfortable but it's location on the point meant there was little shelter from the wind, making for a few very noisy nights.
I would love the chance to revisit Jeff's home when we could enjoy some sunshine and finally take advantage of the fabulous roof deck and see what I imagine are some brilliant night skies.

Wellfleet review
We loved the vista and the area. We have been to Wellfleet before so we knew where to go, etc., and we thoroughly enjoyed being on the beach before the crowds arrived. We found the "rules' of the house to be cumbersome and not helpful - for instance, we took our dog but no dogs are allowed on the second floor where the bedrooms are. That is the owner's prerogative, but dogs like to be close to their owners. We decided to stay with the dog on the first floor at night, but the pullout sofa is atrocious to sleep on. If you are not going to allow dogs to be in the bedrooms upstairs, then please make it comfortable for humans to sleep on the first floor. The owner was overly concerned about the restrictions, and he was not welcoming. Also, there was scratching for five days in the kitchen area - maybe birds, maybe mice? He got a wildlife specialist to investigate the day before we left, but the problem was never solved. The scratching was annoying and unsettling, and we decided we could not cook in the kitchen. The owner offered no partial refund, not even an apology. Very disappointing. The property was expensive, and we never felt he cared about our welfare. A wonderful setting, but an owner who simply cares, in our view, with making money and not making the experience enjoyable. We will not return.

Amazing setting
The photos of the vistas here are accurate! It was fantastic being able to watch and hear the water every day, even in off-season iffy weather. Terrific stargazing. Some of the interior could use a bit of updating. The beds were extremely comfortable and well-appointed, and the heating system worked very well during our chilly spring visit.

Truly coastal
If you are searching for a secluded home surrounded by coastal atmosphere, this is the place. When the tide is up you are totally shut off from the world except for sailboats and ocean sunfish nibbling at the seaweed. When the tide is down there is a flurry of activity from oystermen, shore birds, crabs, and other shore life. At night on the roof the stars, shooting stars and planets are in abundance. The owner Jeff was extremely easy to work with and quick to respond to any of our many questions. One note: bring plenty of bottled drinking water for yourself and your pet as the tap water is a bit salty. This house provided exactly what I had been searching for.

Summer 2020
We were looking for a place that would sustain us away from the house during these strange times. This house was terrific for us, a family of 5 with 3 teens. We were there two weeks. On many days, we never left as the water is right there. Easy access to surfing and other beaches should you choose. My husband and I who continued to work for most of it had ample space away from activities. The third bedroom is a bit tight for teens, but nothing major and the sofa had a pull out bed on first floor. I can't say enough its accessibility and beauty are beyond compare. You can't go wront.

Great location and comfortable house
Our family of four had a great time. We loved exploring the bay by kayak at high tide and by foot at low tide. The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. Great communication with the owner. Look forward to returning!

Wonderful week in Wellfleet
The location of this home is very special. You will find yourself on the end of a sandy peninsula with no one else around, aside from the folks out on the flats harvesting their oysters. We enjoyed the relaxing environment, using high tide for water sports (kayaks, paddle boards, swimming) and low tide for exploring. The water is very calm which means swimming was "easy" for younger kids. When we needed bigger waves, the Cape Cod National Seashore is literally a 5 minute drive away. The house is well equipped and Jeff is responsive to any outreach. Several restaurants and bakeries are a short drive away, as is the best ice cream shop in the area. We highly recommend this vacation spot and look forward to a return visit.

A great escape from the city. Highly recommend.
We spent 3 weeks at the house and it’s location could not have been better, epic sunsets every night and great spot to take our two pups for walks. Place had everything we needed to work remotely and Jeff was incredibly responsive to any questions we had.

We had a great weekend here, we could see the oyster farms at low tide and the sunsets were beautiful. The area was unique, a nice place to getaway but not far from stores or restaurants.
