This was a great place to stay for hubby & I, to get away from the city for 4 days, & the lovely host allowing us to bring our fur babies with us. Lovely, clean & cosy studio.
Awesome walk ways & great fishing

A cosy, warm, clean and comfortable unit that suited us perfectly. Had everything we needed for our stay. Handy to restaurants and Eastbourne shops.

Nice quiet space with beautiful bush and lovely bay. Perfect simple accommodation very comfortable

This is a delightful studio, with a small patio garden. It was well equipped, comfortable, and our host provided lots of useful information in the house folder. We have relations in the area so it was perfect for meeting up with them, convenient for the Day's Bay ferry into the city, and there's a popular cafe in the park a couple of hundred metres away. Our host provided good instructions for finding the property; follow them! Google maps tries to take you through a school.

I had the most enjoyable stay. Everything was just perfect. Definitely would like to come back one day!

Such a fantastic peaceful location near the ferry, gorgeous beach, excellent cafe with world class pizza, and wonderful walks. The studio is cute and cozy and has everything you need.

Modern, well appointed, comfy and in great location.
Will definitely be back :-)

Lovely place to stay. Comfy bed, everything that you would need was available. The only wee thing that may be an issue to some people is the big step up to the bathroom. Otherwise a great place to stay

Unit was ok but were disappointed with the lack of view 😔

We had a lovely few days here, the dining down the road was unbelievable, & waking up to the birdsong was nice. Very comfortable bed too!!

The host was really helpful and while the accommodation was compact, it worked well. Close to the ferry to Wellington and bus service to the city.

Enjoyable week away, easy hosts to work with, and a great location. The weather was fantastic for the time of the year, with beautiful walks and drives around the bays taken full advantage of. Would have no hesitation to stay again or recommend to others.

Friendly host, tidy property and beautiful location

When we booked this place my wife and I thought this would be the "roughing it" part of our trip, staying outside the city and not in a hotel/resort.
This wound up being nicer than half the places we stayed during our travels! The place is cozy and cute, has everything you need, from glassware to extra towels, and Becky, knowing it was our honeymoon, prestocked our fridge with some chocolates and french champagne!
I couldn't have asked for a better experience and for the price point it is probably the best rental I've ever booked.
Cons (if there are any): definitely not big enough for more than two people, maybe two and a child.
Because of how it's situated on the hill and in the house, not much natural light. We preferred this as we like sleeping in but it might be a con to others.
Not a ton of restaurants or markets out in Days bay so do your shopping and whatnot before you get on the ferry, but don't worry, what's there (the lovely cafe in the park) is splendid and cheap!
Overall a 5/5 across the board and if we ever can afford a flight back to NZ I know just where we:LL be staying.

Lovely little place to unwind and relax with a 2 minute walk to the beach, blissful

Very nice and clean had everything needed host was very helpful woud stay again very affordable

Room a bit small for a week and we did find the step up into the bathroom a bit challenging particularly in the night. Luckily we went out every day from daylight until dusk because with such a confined small courtyard below the road level it was not usable.

Lovely place to stay

Cute and cozy!

We enjoyed our stay. The big plus for us was the location. The close proximity to the beach and the park for walks with our dogs was brilliant. Luckily the weather was good as the studio is small if you had to be inside for any length of time. Also the outside area is tiny and not a sunny spot to sit out in. Williams Park cafe 2 minute walk away made up for that. Just remember if you park outside the garage doors, back up and park that way. Do not drive up expecting to back down. It is very steep just outside the garage doors and you will get stuck.
Just a little tip Becky we would have appreciated just a small container of milk in the fridge and ground coffee rather than instant etc. From our experience of staying in several BNB that seems to be the norm. In fact, most seem to have different little "extras" which just add to the pleasure of the stay.

We enjoyed our 2 nights in Days Bay. Property within walking distance of ferry to Queens Wharf and a popular local cafe. The property was small but perfectly formed.

Great little property in a great location. So easy to get on the ferry over to Wellington and walk the harbour front go to Te Papa etc. Very private location. Hosts provided everything we needed and communication was great. Simplest check in and check out ever. Hope to go back again one day.

There had a been a issue with the initial booking, B&B were kind enough to resolve however on return the following week despite having had a conversation with owner unit was double booked, nowhere to stay and no offer of assistance. 930pm on Monday evening of a public holiday, fortunately one of the staff was able to give a place to stay

great studio for a single person or couple.
Nice summer spot, not sure about winter time though!

My partner and I stayed at this property for a weekend break.
The unit is clean, tidy, and modern and in a great location close to a good swimming beach and the ferry to Wellington.
The host gave us clear communication and check-in was easy. I'd definitely stay here again.

Clean, tidy, comfortable and handy to where we needed to be.

The landlady was lovely and very helpful. I had total privacy and she was financially fair. The unit is very close to a cool licenced bistro with a cafe for ice creams, gelato and food attached. The personnel were very friendly. It is also only a half hour walk from Eastbourne. Additionally, the bus service to and from Wellington stopped in front of the cool bistro and cafe.

Everything you need for a few days

Enjoyed our stay at Days Bay‼️ Perfect location to hike a track, walk to store or jump on ferry to spend a day in Auckland.
4.8
Quiet neighbourhood just 3 min walk from park and beach (though dogs are not allowed during daylight saving period, but we went in September so that was good). The cafe near the park is also dog friendly.
Cozy and private studio. Super easy check-in. Clean and with all necessary amenities, even a dog bowl and bed was provided!
Will definitely stay again if we come back to Wellington!
Did not meet the hosts, but they were always available by text!!!
Thanks again Becky!
