Beautiful outside and in. Quiet! Love that. Close to beach and town, restaurants. We cook most meals and the kitchen was very nice.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Orleans home. The yard is absolutely gorgeous with a huge back deck. The inside is really charming and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to cook. The owner was very nice and very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the third time the family has rented the Beach Rd property. I've left lengthy reviews in the past and nothing has changed. It is an excellent place from which to explore the outer and mid Cape; if you just want to stay put, you won't find a nicer village on the Cape or a more comfortable cottage.

This was our fourth summer staying at this home and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it! The outdoor shower, the deck, the huge yard, the location being so close to Nauset Beach, and the coziness of the house, are the reasons we come back year after year. Lauren is extremely quick to respond if there is ever an issue and let’s us know if we can arrive early if the house is ready. You will love this house!

The house is clean, inviting, and relaxing. The location is terrific, and the property itself is large, yet private. The property owner is friendly and helpful, and she makes the process quite easy. We loved our stay for the second year in a row!

Another Great Time
This was our second time at the property and everything was perfect. It is a great house in a great location. Plenty of room for 5 people. Thank you to the owners for being so responsive too. We look forward to returning next year.

Early Fall on the Cape
My wife and I, along with our two adult daughters, spent two relaxing weeks in September at the Beach Road house. It has lots of space, comfortable bedrooms, a large deck (great for breakfasts and lunches in the sun) and privacy from neighbors and the beach road.
The Beach Road house is an excellent location from which to explore the Cape; we kept mostly to the mid and outer Cape, visiting Wellfleet, Truro, Brewster, and Chatham. Our longest drive was to Mashpee Commons for some shopping. Nauset Beach (our favorite for many years) is only a five-minute drive to the end of Beach Road. Our recommendations: Jo Mama’s (Orleans) for bagels, La Bella Vita Kitchen (Orleans) and Scargo Café (Brewster) for dining, Isaiah Thomas Books (Barstable) and Herridge Books (Wellfleet) for used books and Chatham’s main street for just about anything else.
The owner, Lauren, was wonderful to work with; she was always available for help and answers to questions by phone, text, or email. Many thanks to her for opening up her Cape home to us.
I recommend the house on Beach Road and will book it again in the future.

Despite being on the main route to Nauset Beach, a whole 3 minutes away, the yard/deck was lovely, quiet and private. Skaket Beach is all if 7 minutes away and such a wonderful family beach. We stayed two weeks and will happily return another year.

Perfect Getaway
This cozy comfortable home had all the expected New England charm. It is spacious and well equipped with everything needed. Perfectly located in Orleans near town and more importantly close to the beach. You need to stop in to Nauset Farms, they have breakfast lunch and dinner plus bakery and groceries.
Owner Laura was very responsive to questions. Definitely will seek renting this home in the near future! Best vacation destination!

Perfect
Our family (my wife and I, kids aged 9 and 11) stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely fantastic. The house is spacious yet cozy, and was a great place to hang out when we were home. The hedges offered great privacy as well. The location is also great, with Nauset Beach just down the road (easy bike ride or very short drive), a small grocery (Nauset Farms) and homemade ice cream shop are just down the road, with a larger grocery (Friends) also close by. Orleans is a great little town. The owner was very responsive to my few minor questions. We fully plan to rent the house again in the future.

Another great stay!
We rented this home last summer and it’s truly the perfect beach house. It’s less than a 5 minute drive to Nauset Beach, great breakfast and lunch spots, ice cream, and town. The owner, Lauren, is quick to respond and was up to date on all of the latest Covid requirements. She even goes out of her way to let you know if the house is ready earlier than check in time! The house has all of the cooking tools you would need while you are there, a great washer and dryer, comfy beds, a high chair, an amazing backyard for kids to run around, a deck with table chairs and grill, and an outdoor shower. We can’t wait to go back again next year!

Fabulous Find in Orleans!
This house is fabulous, and Lauren, the owner, is amazing. The location could not be better. From booking to check-in to staying in this house, everything worked out perfectly. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The central AC was much appreciated. The outdoor shower was one of the best we have ever had. There is a large deck with a wonderful table for dining outside and a nice grill. The laundry room also contained an extra refrigerator which was very handy. And there was plenty of room to store your beach stuff. If you are lucky enough to find availability, grab it! You won't be disappointed.

Beach Road Gem
The property was everything we had hoped for and we knew it the moment we drove in. The grounds are very well maintained and you have perfect privacy from the street due to the tall dense hedges that line the front. The interior of the house was very clean and bright and fit our party of 4 adults and 5 kids without any issues. The location is perfect as you are close to everything. Lauren, the property owner, was very easy to work with and very informative with great communication. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely Vacation Home
Our family of four (+dog) greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. We stayed for nearly six weeks as an escape from city life during the COVID lockdown, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. The location is terrific: only a 2-minute drive to Nauset beach (one of the best beaches on the Cape) or a 3-minute drive to downtown Orleans (including a large parking lot for access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail). The house itself is bright, airy, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. You can tell that the owner takes real pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment. The large, flat yard surrounding the house is a real bonus. Our the kids loved running around and playing games in the grass. The yard is also beautifully landscaped, with a very tall hedge (~12 feet) between the yard and the road, providing both a sense of privacy and real peace of mind as the kids ran around outside. As a bonus, there's a also large, accessible storage area, including a second refrigerator. WiFi strength was excellent, supporting simultaneous video calls while the kids played online games. And, the owner was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
Highly recommended!

Amazing Vacation!
We had an amazing stay! The house is perfect for families: close to the beach, outdoor shower for after the beach, big yard for running toddlers, great deck for meals outdoors, washer and dryer, and plenty of room for hanging out. The only thing I would have changed would be to include linens. We used a service so we didn’t have to pack sheets and towels. But it truly was a perfect stay and we will definitely be staying here again!

This house was perfect! It was exactly as advertised. There was plenty of room for our family of four. With small children the private lot, deck and outdoor shower were great. We would definatley recommend this property and hope to be back!!

Beautifully maintained adorable house with a large yard.
This was our second year staying at this beach house. We can't say enough about how much we love it. The location is great, close to town but also a short drive to the beach. Love having the central air and the washer/dryer. The house has everything you need!!

Beautiful vacation home in a great location.
This 3 BR house had everything you would need. The things most important to me were central air, a washer and dryer, an outdoor shower and a great location. This house had all 4. The large deck and huge yard were also a plus. It was very clean on our arrival. Would recommend this house.

Wonderful
We enjoyed our stay here. The house and grounds especially are lovely. The only negatives were the entry way had a garbage smell and the indoor bathroom drain wasn't working efficiently. I'm not sure owner was away of either. Overall a great place to stay. I would definitely stay again. Great location, close to farm, markets, and restaurants. The kitchen is stocked average. We found grill uncovered and rusted but tried to remedy both. Decor is nice with a Cape Cod charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely vacation home on a beautiful property
The property is in East Orleans, right on the road to Nauset Beach. A 3-minute drive from the center of Orleans, the property is convenient to shopping and all 3 beaches (Nauset, Skaket, and the beach at Pilgrim Lake which is ideal for younger children). Picturesque Rock Harbor (home of the fishing fleet) is a brief 5-minute drive away. My wife and I (and our kids) spent parts of more than 20 summers in this section of Orleans, our favorite town on the Cape. The tall hedge on the Beach Road side of the property provided excellent sound insulation from the traffic..
The comfortably furnished 3-BR 2-Bath 1-story home is situated on a spacious tree-filled lot. The property was clean and well-maintained. The home has Central heating and AC, and is generally well-equipped and appointed. The house has a new Washer and Dryer. There is a new Flat-panel 39" TV in the Living room and an older 27" TV in the master suite. The King bed in the master BR suite was comfortable (the only one we slept on); our adult kids said the queen bed was OK. The outdoor shower would be popular with younger children. We spent a good part of our time on the lovely outside deck, and prepared meals (swordfish on the barbie) on the modern outdoor Weber grill most nights when we ate at home.
Dealing with the owner (Lauren Cragen) was a pleasure; her flexibility in making arrangements was much appreciated.
When we come back to the Cape (hopefully, in the next year or two), the availability of 43 Beach Road will be one of our first considerations.
Only two suggested changes:
1. Include the option of a full linen package (sheets, pillow cases, towels, etc) as part of the basic rental. (If clients want to supply their own, provide a deduction from this price). We would really have appreciated not having to deal with procuring our own linens (that was a hassle).
2. Put a small sign by the break in the hedge (#43) indicating the entrance to the property from Beach Road.

The heart of the best beaches on the cape
This property was centrally located with easy access to area attractions. The house was clean, well equipped, and comfortable, including the beds. The owners were accommodating, yet no-intrusive adding to a feeling of comfort.
The only concern was the mandatory damage insurance fee of $59 charged by HomeAway. In thirty years of summer rentals we have never damaged anything and would much rather forward a security deposit.

Family Friendly
Overall, the home is lovely and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Great central location. Easy drive to Nauset Beach. Games, puzzles, and books abound. Great yard for children that need to run! Beach Road a bit noisy, esp. for those in the 2 front bedrooms. Also, photo of the home from the driveway...the actual living space is from that side door to the right. To the left is laundry and owner storage. Too chilly to use outdoor shower, but it looked inviting. Owner very easy to work with, and to contact. Enjoy!
