My friends and I loved your home and found it centrally located to the bay, the beach, and both ferries! Thank you for sharing your home (along with your bikes and wagon!) with us. Thank you for being so accommodating and flexible throughout the entire process. We had an amazing time and were incredibly comfortable and happy in your home.

I traveled with a group of five total and the house/owners exceeded our expectations. Everyone had their own personal space in addition to the spacious shared areas (kitchen, living/dining room) Everything was clean and well maintained. The house is a five minute walk from the beach and/or shops, and there are an assortment of chairs, towels, umbrellas, bikes, etc .. at your disposal. The owner, Amanda, could not have been more accomodating or kind before, during, and after our stay - always answering inquiries honestly and promptly. We were thoroughly enchanted with our visit to Fair Harbor and will definitely stay again!!

We had a beautiful weekend at the beach. The house was clean, well stocked and very close to town.

We were 8 adults. The dining room and living room seat eight comfortably so no one was left out. The rooms were big enough for an air mattress if needed. The beds were comfortable.

My brother and I got our families together on Fire Island. This house has everything you need: chairs and umbrellas for the beach and high speed internet in the house (they have apple tv so entertaining our kids with a movie in the evening was easy.) The kitchen and bathrooms are recently remodeled which is a big plus. We had a great time!

We really enjoyed our stay in Amanda's home. The house has more than enough space for 8 people and has a lovely deck to sit out on with a great grill. Amanda let us use her bikes and beach items (chairs and umbrellas) which was so nice! This area of Fire Island doesn't have many bars or restaurants so if that is the focus of your trip you may want to look elsewhere. That said, her home is steps from the beach and an amazing spot for a relaxing weekend. We hope to return soon.

Perfect house to sleep 8 people, beds for everyone. The house was very spacious and in the perfect location. A few minute walk to the beach and ferry/water taxi. Amanda did a great job preparing the house for our stay, supplying us with everything we needed. It was our first time on the island and we couldnt have been more impressed. Looking forward to our next stay!

Very convenient to beach and the bay. Cozy house with everything you need to relax. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Outdoor shower is fabulous.

I had the pleasure of renting this property for Memorial Day weekend and it was everything my group and I could have wished for. The property had a great kitchen and dining area. The rooms were of average size and each accommodated 2 people comfortably. The property also had plenty of outdoor seating and a nice deck, perfect for BBQing and eating outside. The owner was also nice enough to allow us to utilize the bicycles on the property as well as the beach chairs located by the deck. Amanda was very responsive and her home fit our needs perfectly. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to have a relaxing weekend by the beach.

Pros: 1 - The house was a short walk from the beach and the ferry 2 - I went with a group of girls for a bachelorette and it rained the first day so we spent the day in the house. The living room is a perfect size for 8-10 girls to hang out in, it didn't feel cramped at all. Cons: 1 - The house was short one bed from what was listed online. 2 - The master bedroom downstairs reeks of old cigarette smoke. We febreezed and lit candles and no matter what, the smell is overwhelming. 3 - The pictures show a hot tub. There is no hot tub. 4 - We were advised to bring as much food as possible over with us instead of buying it there because of how expensive it is on the island. So we brought coolers of food and supplies only to find the fridge full of the owners own food that we couldn't move. So we had to squeeze ours in 5 - The owner's daughter also came by unannounced in the middle of the day to get a credit card she had left in the room. She didn't knock on either the front door or the bedroom door to get what she needed and walked in on our friend who was changing. 6 - The toilets are very sensitive and don't always work 7 - Enough hot water for one or two showers in a row and then it's cold

My stay was from July 15-July 18, 2016. Pros: -The stay was comfortable because of the air conditioners located in every room of the house. -Nice long dinner table. -Comfortable leather couch. -Working 'Direct TV' satellite tvs in living room, master bedroom, and 1 upstairs bedroom. -WiFi is present. -Washer and dryer in the 1st floor bathroom. -Many towels, I'd guess and say there are 15 to 18 towels. -Directly on the corner and only one block walk to beach (south) or to the calm bay water (north). -House has a lot of beach chairs, toys, body boards, large beach umbrellas. -Two indoor showers and one outdoor shower. -Large outdoor wooden table/metal frame with 6 outdoor chairs and umbrella for table. -Gas grill with more than enough gas tanks. I didn't use it because I like cooking with charcoal. Cons: -The main picture of the listing with the red cushion seats and hot tub is very old. Picture must be from when everything was new. THERE IS NO HOT TUB! Owner said hot tub was broken and removed. And, the two small cushion back-less seats are missing from the house. However, all the other pictures depicting the rooms, bathrooms and living room are 100% accurate. Only one change... the fire pit is different but the one they have at the house now is better than the one in the picture. -The freezer is only as cold as the fridge. Owner said it needs to be fixed but that obviously was no help to me. Ice cream melted. I planned on buying multiple bags of ice to keep in the freezer to avoid walking 6 blocks to the market every day I needed ice for the cooler but that fell through because of the broken freezer. -They have 4 bicycles but only 2 work and 1 of those need air in the tires. -Leftover sand on the couch in living room from previous vacationers. -Many pots, pans, cups, trays are dirty. So dirty they looked like they weren't used in months. I guess now more are clean because we cleaned many. -Dog hair found in pots and stove. Also, the filter of the dryer when I cleaned it was full of dog hair. -This is obviously a con for every house on the island: Spiders had to be killed daily in the bathrooms. We tried keeping the doors and windows closed at all times. Conclusion: I think that for the price I paid the fridge should have been in perfect working order. I also didn't like being mislead about the hot tub. Owner said that "hot tub" wasn't listed as an amenity. They shouldn't use old pictures. With broken fridge, would not recommend. Fix pls.

Although one of the bedrooms smelled like smoke, the rest of the house was clean and the rooms were perfect for our bachelorette party. The location was ideal, just a block away from the beach and a few blocks away from restaurants, coffee shop in the morning and the ferry/water taxi. With enough beds for all of the girls we were able to comfortably fit with all of our luggage. The grill worked great for lunch during the day and the kitchen was a good size to make breakfast in. I would recommend this house to girls looking to get away.

The house was perfect for a weekend getaway of a bunch of girls! 7 minute walk from the ferry- 2 minute walk from the beach! Amanda was very sweet and there were a ton of extra towels and sheets etc. Extremely relaxing weekend and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice getaway. Great outdoor area and perfect grill !

Upon arrival, there was sand all over the floors. The "clean" sheets were filthy and stained. We have pictures. The master bedroom wreaked of smoke (owners knew we were bringing children). Stains, dust, dirt, sand, mess everywhere. Couch in living room - stained. They should be ashamed of themselves. Stains on sheets. No way worth that kind of money in autumn. We wouldn't let our kids sleep in the beds. So bad, we left after the first night - didn't stay the second night. Smell of "smoke" was overwhelming. Complete nightmare.

We stayed here as part of a long weekend with 4 couples. The house is relatively new, clean and fully stocked with the basics (towels, pillows, paper towels, etc.). The location is ideal as it's only a short walk to the ferry and is a good value for those looking to get away for a short trip. The owner is very responsive and reasonable and is able to help assist on any ad hoc questions that you may have. I would recommend to others.

We spent a whole weekend with 7 friends in this house. It was perfect, the house is full fitted with everything you need to cook and sleep. For the rest, the location is ideal and the island is a little paradise on earth. We will come back.
