Location, price and cleanliness
As its two hotels combined in to one it was a little like a maze getting to the room. Also no ramp out the front just steep steps to get in the hotel. Difficult with a heavy case or pram

Our room was facing a quiet side of the street. The bed was comfortable.
We rarely complain but this stay was full of repetitive negative experience.
Breakfast was a nightmare. The buffet was often empty, there was only one pot with coffee which was either empty or missing (being replaced for 15-10 min). Sometimes we ordered from the kitchen and it took 30 minutes or longer to get a hot chocolate, 40 minutes for a porridge. We spent 5 nights in this hotel and each day we had some negative expreience with breakfast. The staff was not very helpful most of the time.
Once we booked an afternoon tea at the hotel restarant. It was served on a broken table, which had to be replaced. Also the tea was prepared with tea bags.
The room cleaning was not very consistent, twice the cleaners didn't replace /wash the dirty tea cups, spoons, glasses, they were just left dirty on the table.
There was two of us staying in the room but we kept getting only one set of towels. We complained at the reception several times, they promised to bring us "extra" towels as they said, but it was never done. This we found most unacceptable. Our requests were not heard.
Another day when we asked for the second set of towels the reception told us - "Perhaps you pressed the button - do not disturb, therefore you are missing the towles" - but surely this was not the case. The cleaner made the bed and brought one clean towel, but that's about it. On the last day of our stay we got only one bath towel for two and no small towels at all.
What can I say, these things may not be significant but they give a feeling of a negative experience and spoiled our stay.
It was felt like the hotel doesn't want to have returning customers, it will be full with tourists anyway.

The location as is next to a park and only 10 minutes walk to Victoria coach and railway stations and 2 minutes walk from the famous Regency cafe, which does fabulous old school full English breakfasts
The room we had was very nice and on the ground floor but I think there may have been better rooms for the price we paid

I recently stayed at this lovely hotel in London and had a nice experience! The hotel itself is quite nice, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step in.
One of the best features is its location – it’s conveniently situated near a tube station, making it incredibly easy to explore all that London has to offer. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, the ease of access to public transport is a huge plus.
The room was clean and well-maintained.
Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and convenience in London!
While my stay was wonderful, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit slow at times, which can be inconvenient for business travelers or those wanting to stream entertainment. Additionally, the breakfast options were somewhat limited and could benefit from more variety to cater to different dietary preferences.
Despite these minor issues, I still had an excellent experience and look forward to returning on my next trip to London.

Hotel was nicely situated and rooms were lovely. Ours looked out at a pretty park area. Staff were very accommodating, although we did have a situation when we first arrived and had to be relocated for one night to their sister hotel next door, The Rochester, which was not nearly as nice and was clearly still in the process of being renovated. Couldn’t help but wonder if we’d been bumped to accommodate a large tour party. Thankfully, we were able to move back to the Wellington for the remainder of our 4-night stay…staff took care of everything, which was much appreciated. Loved the convenience of the lounge area, where we could have cocktails and appetizers after a long day of sightseeing.
Other than the incident on the first night, we liked everything about the property and staff.

Nice room and en-suite bathroom. Reasonable breakfast. Friendly staff.
On the pricey side by my usual standards.

Fantastic location. Wonderful breakfast. Staff very friendly. Underground a 9 minute walk away. Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey both 15 minutes walk away. Beds comfortable

The hotel doesn’t welcome family visitors!
The manager and the reception staffs are not friendly! Their attitude will destroy your mood totally!
Free bottle of water will only supply for the first day.
No cleaning of floor from second day onwards
Not enough sockets and no sockets near the bed.
All their rooms only allow two persons as stated in their website. When a couple comes with a child, they either ask you to pay extra money or upgrade to executive room with extra charges.
For my case, after traveling for more than 24 hours without sleep, we arrived at the hotel at 9:30am. When we wish to get the room earlier, the hotel didn’t allow even we are willing to pay extra money. At the end, we need to wait until 3:30pm to get the room.
Besides, they also forced us to pay extra for upgrading the room as we are coming with a child.
Since we don’t want to bother to change hotels, we have extended the stay for another two days. For the third day, they asked us to change room as they needed to allocate the room for other visitor! After arguing with their manager, they allowed us to stay in the same room. But our mood is totally affected by their actions.
When we want to move to another hotel (Rochester Hotel) adjacent to them (we don’t aware two hotels are managed by the same group of people), they require us to book two rooms if we want to continue to stay. It’s ridiculous that they are asking us to book a separated room for my kid only!

Everything was fine so far, the breakfast was rather poor though, I didn’t expect eggs from caged hens…. In my home country they are forbidden completely!!!!

Lovely quiet location, rooms were excellent and service good. Would use this hotel again next time I venture into London.
Selection at breakfast could be better. Overall good.

Central location, spacious room for a London hotel. Comfortable beds and good quality bed and bath linens. Excellent shower.
There was a very strong smell of food in our room, likely coming from the hotel kitchen. Our room AC did not work properly ( we complained to the front desk who said they would send someone to look at it but this person never came and the issue was never sorted out to our satisfaction ), so we had to keep the window open for ventilation and this seemed to make the smell worse. No robes in the room despite the listing saying there would be.

The staff were polite. It was spotlessly clean.
The room was shabby and small but it was very clean. The air conditioning did not work, lots of traffic noise with open window. Beds were Rick hard. Overall it did not have any wow factor for the money spent. It felt very corporate.

The location was very pleasant. The room was a good size, clean and with comfortable beds. The staff members were friendly, although there was a language barrier with some.
We were told on arrival that there were "maintenance issues" and that we might have to be moved to the sister hotel (the Rochester) around the corner. We returned at about 6pm, when it was confirmed we would be moved to the other hotel. We have no idea therefore whether our intended room at The Wellington Hotel (booked well before Christmas 2022) would have been satisfactory or nicer than the one we were allocated at the Rochester Hotel. The room was reasonable but initially set up as a twin, whereas I had booked a superior double. We decided to eat at The Wellington as we had booked dinner there and were told that the menu and food were the same in both hotels. Sadly the Wellington's restaurant was deserted save for one other couple. The menu was very limited and mainly based on pasta and pizza. The food took quite a while to come and my husband's was served first and I had to ask (after several minutes) where my dinner had got to. Eventually it arrived but was not as described on the menu, with a different vegetable and sauteed potatoes rather than roast potatoes. We were so disenchanted by this point that we decided not to order dessert. It took quite a long time for the waitress to come and clear our dinner plates and ask if we wanted desserts, despite there being no one but us in the room by this point. We did complain to the manager (who had then appeared) and she discounted the cost by not charging us for our drinks. We decided to try for a coffee back at the bar in The Rochester. It took a very long time to arrive and was then had to be sent back as the bartender clearly hadn't understood our order and it was incorrect.
Breakfast was not great. My husband had to wait for quite a while for milk as there was none put out on the buffet. Tea and coffee was self service. The hot food was starting to dry up under heat lamps and not being refreshed. I would not call this 4 star service or food.
