Excellent breakfast! Beautifully designed terrace with wonderful furniture & pool.
Not the fault of the hotel, but walking from the hotel is not very appealing.

The hotel is fantastic, great bar and restaurant with an extra restaurant next door. It's right on the waterfront and the views never get old! For what you get its great value for money!
Rooms are a great size, comfy beds, great selection of drinks, lots of food options for vegetarians and the staff were really friendly and helpful!
All very minor things that would push the hotel from a 9 to a 10.
When busy the bar service could be a little slower, and on the decking more umbrellas for shade when the full summer sun and out would be good.

The staff were very helpful and patient both at check-in (they changed one room to suit us) and giving tourist advice. The outside space overlooking the lake was very pleasant.

The most bequtiful location by Lake Iseo, surrounded by the mountains. It was lovely to enjoy drinks on the terrace and explore the small villages/towns nearby. We enjoyed our mini getaway to the fullest!

The position over hanging on the lake, you really can’t get closer to the water it’s great with it’s sun lounging jetty which gets the first bit of sun! The room was immaculately clean, I’m not sure I’ve seen a cleaner bathroom. And even though we had a double room (which was huge), we still had a view of the port which was nice. Also the food at the restaurant is great, the staff are all really happy & friendly and the breakfast on the terrace was awesome, bacon, eggs, sausage, runny boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, fruit, fresh juice, pastries, they’ve got it all.
Only reason for not being a 10 was the shower plug was blocked so we did have to shower quickly before it overflowed. We could only mention this on checkout as only stayed one night. Location is also a little isolated and not sure it’s possible to walk to iseo on the road.

The hotel is super chic and has a beautiful interior. The rooms are nice, clean and modern and have everything you need. The pool is very nice, with enough beds for everyone and bar service that comes by every 30 minutes. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I can 100% recommend the hotel and will definitely visit again in the future.
There is a big street and train line that runs through Iseo (and the whole Iseo lake), so it is a little loud sometimes. However, it didn't really bother us as the rest of the stay was so pleasant. Next year, they will build an infinity pool at the lakeside of the hotel, where it is much quieter - so you won't hear the street anymore.

The breakfast was good, but not “splendid”’as advertised. The hot food was lukewarm, and anything freshly made cost extra. The adjoining restaurant had excellent food. But the portions were stingy. Our shared appetizer ( which was supposedly enough for two) consisted of three perfectly grilled scallops, they should have had four if it was “enough” to share.
The hotel is located 1.9 miles from Iseo ( where all the restaurants, shops, and boat excursions are. We tried to get a Taxi from Iseo to the hotel none available, called the hotel and they blew us off, they told us to walk ( with luggage) or wait 2 hours catch the next train which goes only a mile past the hotel then walk from there. When we arrived all exhausted and sweaty an hour later they showed zero empathy and said we never claimed to provide shuttle service. The service was poor and the reception staff arrogant.

Staff was absolutely great. Availability of bikes was very nice. Location, location.

Hotel is in the perfect location, and booking a room with a balcony makes a difference (it's a small outdoor area but so nice to have the views). Set along a quiet part of the lake but also close enough to town and other restaurants.
Staff was very friendly and happy to answer all questions.
Useful to have a car here to get to other locations but train stop is very close as well. Bikes are also available
Breakfast had many options and the restaurant on-site has a beautiful dinner menu.
Would have been nice to have dedicated food or beverage service in the pool areas instead of having to walk through the restaurant to the bar.
Also would have been nice to have a bigger lunch cafe menu without having to sit in the formal restaurant.

No games in the pool as kids disturbed the peace!

Perfect position on the edge of the lake. Beautiful terrace for drinks, breakfast and just chilling out with a book. Lake Iseo is so beautiful we could hardly bear to leave. The hotel arranged a private boat trip around the islands which was one of our highlights.
We had to pay for parking which was a shame

Beautiful hotel. great location on the lake with lovely views. excellent breakfast.
If you don’t have a car you need to get there by train. our train was departing from Iseo and trying to get a taxi was impossible. We ended up getting an earlier train from the closest station Pilzone… about an 8 minute walk. An improvement could be a shuttle van on hand … as Iseo is only 5 minutes by car … just a suggestion as you would expect a service like this from this calibre of hotel. other than transport issues - no complaints about the hotel or service. we had a great stay.

Stunning lakeside location with beautiful views
not much in the area directly around the hotel

Great lake views. excellent restaurant and the building and rooms seems newly renovated.
Staff attitude at the breakfast service.

Location is perfect with direct access to the lake. They have also added a new veranda for the breakfast area which was really beautiful and it doubled up as a lounge for the afternoon coffee/snack or drink.
Nothing really, maybe i could have done without some rowdy kids in the pool but that has nothing to do with the hotel its more of a parenting issue.

Newly renovated elegant hotel directly on the lake. Beautiful views from the room and terrace. Room was comfortable and although small, well organized with sufficient storage. Really appreciated the efficient air conditioning during the heat wave. Enjoyed the breakfast and lounge terrace directly on the water.
Although dogs are allowed in hotel, they are not allowed on the pool terrace sundeck. Unfortunately, the only other place to sit on a sun lounger was at the unappealing green carpeted little beach to the side of the hotel.

A really nice hotel. very good facilities. Good restaurant.

it was very clean. the breakfast was excellent
Araba Fenice is a long way from the town centre and their only suggestions to get to the town was to walk or ride a bike. apparently the town only has two taxis and they are reluctant to come to the hotel. if you are old, unfit or disabled do not stay at Araba Fenice unless you are happy to spend all your time there.

A grand old lakeside hotel with stupendous views that has been refurbished moderately well so that it met many of our requirements. The room was a little cramped and sparse but the lakeside view compensated. The bed was a bit too firm for our taste but the linens were good. The bathroom was spacious and had an excellent walk in shower. Air conditioning coped well with a ferocious heatwave. The pool - though small - was a godsend and the ability to swim in the lake off the pier was delightful. Breakfasts were generous and of good quality. The bar staff were very good -although run off their feet. I do wonder if the hotel operators were putting too high a value on maximising income by employing not quite enough staff. This would accord with the standard and style of refurbishment. After an initial error the reception staff and especially the deputy manager could not have been more helpful. They made ample amends for the error and a half bottle of Franciacorta wine on my birthday was much appreciated. They booked us onto a winery tour which was outstanding and worked hard to get us taxis. The associated restaurant was ideally located on the lakeside.
You really need to have your own car (or be a keen cyclist) to stay here. Taxis were very difficult to get. There only seem to be two taxi firms in the area. Walking back from Iseo - a mere two miles - seems reasonable but is punishing in 32 degrees centigrade. The bus seems to operate only once or twice a week and the train, with a tiny station a few hundred yards away, was not that frequent and services were interrupted by line problems when we were there. In common with very many hotels in the Lakes this establishment backed onto the main road and the railway line. This made it rather noisy especially when using the pool. I would imagine the 'mountain view' rooms suffer from this. We ate at the restaurant twice. A cuisine minceur experience and to my surprise both meals tasted very similar. Too strong a 'signature' I think. This could have been disastrous due to the hotel's isolation but fortunately there is a wonderful but unprepossessing neapolitan family restaurant in easy walking distance.

Very comfortable room with balcony overlooking the lake. Beautiful view of the lake. Quiet location. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Also excellent restaurant. Staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The room balcony was tiny - very little room to sit outside comfortably. Also there was limited bar service at the pool.
