Sehr angenehmes Hotel, mitten in Castelamare del Golfo

Das Al Madarig liegt mitten in Castellammare, im April konnten wir direkt vor dem Hotel kostenlos parken und alles im Ort ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick über den Platz und aufs Meer. Das Bett war bequem und wir hatten ausreichend Platz im Zimmer. Sehr gut war das Frühstück und der Service. Ich kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Beim Einschalten des Wasserkochers flog immer die Hauptsicherung raus. Und wie in fast jedem Hotel in Italien, in dem wir übernachtet haben, war der Kaffee nur trinkbar, aber nicht gut. Es ist schon komisch, aber in Italien bekommt man überall fantastischen Kaffee, nur nicht zum Frühstück in Hotels.

We parked right out front and walked in the plaza out the door every early morning and evening.

Breakfast was varied and wonderful. espresso machine excellent. the option to eat outdoors was appreciated.

Nice but we left one day earlier and we were charged for the full stay.

The property had a great location, and the people that worked at the hotel were super nice and helpful.

The hotel in the common areas didn’t had air conditioning and it was very hot, and the odor was terrible. In both the rooms that we booked it smelled as sewerage.

- Quite rundown. - 1st room did not look anything like the room I booked. They moved me to a better room. Still not as good as in the pictures. - Breakfast was OK but a self service coffee machine... in Italy. Not good.

Good location but not value for money!

Location Superb breakfast

AC - Outside temperature was around 16 celsius and we were arriving from -4 celsius. Ideally we wanted to maintain the room at 18-19 celsius. But the air conditioner was only heating the room and maintained a temperature of around 26 celcius. We felt very hot and sleep was disrupted. On informing the staff, we were told that they have centralised heating system and nothing can be done for single guest. We felt that the male staffs understood our problem and felt helpless but the female staff was very rude, which made me wonder how such staffs could be employed in the hospitality industry in such a standard hotel! She seems unfit for the job. Her tone was rude and provoking. An absolute red flag in this industry. The balcony from which you can view the sea is very small and away from the bed, which means from the bed there is no view of outside. Though they have higher pricing for the view but it doesnt do justice because view is only from the balcony, which is just about enough for 2 people to stand or sit sticking to each other.

It was close drive to Zingaro Park. The town was lovely & lively. Music, foods, outdoor market.

The hotel is very tired. The rooms were old and worn. The directions to the parking were cryptic. Once we figured it out, the sign they were referring to was so small and faded, very difficult to see. We would have called an audible if we were there for more than one night.

Being a gluten free and lactose free person, the breakfast wasn’t amazing for me and although there was lovely fruit, it was not ripe! Otherwise everything was great

Comfrtable lodging in a great location.

Location is fine, though might be noisy in summer. Can't understand why anyone would want to book a room at the back, though. Breakfast was okay, though coffee was from a machine and very disappointing.

Whole experience was more than we expected! Wonderful!

Perfect location near the water. Excellent breakfast each day. Staff is fantastic-very friendly and helpful! Plenty of restaurants nearby. Close to port and walking district. Will definitely stay there again!
