Absolutely charming place with a beautiful view. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. We loved it and will definitely come back :)
Nothing, all was perfect, although if you travel without a car it may be a bit tough to get there.

A beautiful hacienda situated on the outskirts of a town, with stunning views across the countryside.
Very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature.
All the staff were very kind and friendly.
We were made to feel very welcome,
and recieved plenty of helpful information about the places we could visit, and about the local area, including where we could birdwatch, which is our specific interest.
There are also plenty of good restaurants and beautiful villages to visit.
We thought the food we had at the hacienda was lovely, an excellent breakfast, and a lovely light supper. There is a lovely garden with a pool , with wonderful views of the countryside.
We really enjoyed our stay, and were sad to leave.
It would of been nice to have a small fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities in our room.

it was in a lovely setting, peaceful and delightful. On arrival we were tired after a long day exploring the countryside and were able to have a cold dinner at the hacienda.
no problems.

I hit my head on the top of the bathroom door coming out as it has a step out into the bedroom. oh well, worse things have happened

The peace and the views plus the historic aspect of the building
Would have liked a little mini bar/fridge in the room as very hot weather

good and calm place. clean
since everything was old the fabrics might cause you some allergies. breakfast is acceptable, was expecting some fresh products ( pastries, croissant seemed to be a day old)

Wonderful location, nice and quiet. The accommodation has a lot of atmosphere and great views!
Too be honest, it all feels a bit old. Common areas could use a refresher and the breakfast was also a bit less than what we expected. With prices of this level, you would expect fresh products and not from small plastic containers (jam etc).

Love it. It is in one of the most beautiful areas and private and quiet. Been coming here for many years.

The location was pleasant, although a little far from town. The overall appearance was interesting. It is a old/historical house. Very good breakfast even with covid19 limitations.
Dated decoration. I understand the owners want to keep rustic ambience but nowadays it is very important to stay actual. Now, the visual harmony is very important. It is possible to maintain the historic environment but with contemporary, pleasant and comfortable furniture.

The location and building was splendid. The view from the lawn exceptional. Friendly family run business.
The breakfast was very expensive. A less complicated breakfast for 5 or 6 euros, we would have ordered it every morning.
Otherwise, all was lovely.

Everything about Hacienda el Santiscal was wonderful - we arrived in the evening after a long day on our motorbikes. The check in was helpful and friendly, very covid-safe, beautiful old building with a gorgeous courtyard in the middle and a lovely swimming pool with stunning views. Our room was gorgeous with plenty of space.
We had an evening meal which was delicious, and so was the breakfast.
Nothing at all.

Beautiful situation out of Arcos (about 10 minutes drive) and close to lake. Good beds and cozy rooms with beautiful antiques all over in the house which gives it a lot of charm. Breakfast was varied and refined, hygienically presented, fresh juice, probablly the best we had in 10 days travelling around and friendly waitress.Very small pool nicely situated in the garden. We had dinner in Arcos old town whith much choice -Aljibe-for instance, very correct, a bit expensive.Nice place.
Booking on their site proved to be impossible though several trials: at the end it didnt work out. While phoning then to book , just at that time ,the price suddenly raised by +- 10 € , what we found quite strange and finally preferred to use booking.com.. The hygienic mesures seem a bit exaggerated compared to the many other hotels and guest houses we have been: taking temperature directly on arrival etc.But ok with us, better a bit too much. The list of what they do for hygiene is endless and quotes dishwasher hot up to 80 degrees etc,but we saw the girl wash by hand altogether and certainly at lower degrees, which seems unsafe. Difficult to find the place when it's dark.

Arriving was lovely, driving down the driveway felt very special, and the building is stunning.
The views from the hacienda are spectacular; you really feel you’re in rural Spain.
We were served very welcome ice cold beers before dinner being hot & sticky from a 2 hour motorbike journey. We had ordered dinner in advance and it was delicious. Unfortunately we weren’t offered dessert, but it seems like only ice cream was available (due to less clients re: covid I believe). We did however have coffee and a digestif.
We ate a lunch of jamon & tomato bocadillo which was delicious. Sometimes the simplest things bring the greatest pleasure.
Breakfast was a spectacular feast. I would rate it as exceptional.
Our room was lovely with a view to the swimming pool and gardens then to rolling fields beyond and also to the beautiful sunset. One morning I saw a hot air balloon which was quite exciting!
The bed was huge and very comfortable.
Air con nice and cold and efficient. Nice furniture. Sadly no rugs due to Covid.
The bathroom was very pleasant and spotless.
The staff are sweet and the owner is a lovely lady.
Unfortunately the shower had little pressure. I forgot to mention to the host.

The location is fabulous looking west over the lake. Sunsets are spectacular. The hotel is full of character and the courtyard is peaceful. I was unfortunate to have to continue working and the Wi-Fi was reliable and fast and there were peaceful places to work undisturbed. If you want to completely chill and dip in the pool when you get hot this is a great place.
The staff were often hard to locate and there is a blind spot between morning shifts and afternoon shifts where it's tough to get service at all. Adherence to COVID rules was to a fault. Plastic bags on lounger cushions seemed extreme.
