About this house rental
With 6 bedrooms and 3 separate living rooms, this house allows groups to gather in several different areas, yet retreat for privacy. Guests will also love this distinctive Breckenridge vacation home for its proximity to both Main St. Breckenridge and the ski resort. Advanced skiers will get a kick out of accessing the ski slopes via the Burro Trail (located several blocks from the home, conditions permitting). The trail is also great for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and, when the snow melts, hiking (See Satellite Overview in Photos).
On the main level of the house you can enjoy meals with the whole family in the dining area that seats up to 16 people, 8 at the dining table and 8 at the kitchen counter. Entertaining is easy in this open living room / dining room set up! Also on the main level, you will find four of the six bedrooms. The first Master King Suit has a private bathroom with jetted tub. One of the queen bedrooms is also on this floor, with a shared bathroom that opens to the common area. Additionally, there are two bunk bed rooms; one with two bunk beds and the other with a captains bunk (twin over full), and a shared bathroom between the two rooms.
On the lower level of the house, there are two more bedrooms and a second living room. The second master king suite is located on this level with private bathroom and jetted tub. The queen bedroom has a shared full bathroom with two sinks. This lower living room has the comforts of a flat screen TV with DVD Blu-Ray player, gas fireplace, as well as a sleeper sofa.
The upper level living room is a great place for the kids to hang out after a day on the slopes. With a pool table, flat screen TV, DVD Blu-Ray player, stereo, gas fireplace, and sleeper sofa, what more could you need? Casa de Alta has the perfect set-up for multiple families. It has plenty of space for entertaining everyone in your group. And if relaxing is your thing, be content to relax in the private indoor hot tub - no need to dash back in through the cold outdoor air! The stove top had broken and bent heating elements. The oven didn’t work. The entire house smelled like bleach from the hot tub.The dining chairs had broken back supports and the dining table was falling apart from abuse. We actually had a shower head fly off the plumbing pipe and almost hit a guest taking a shower. I would think this was a college frat house more than a vacation rental house.

The Rental Unit was generally not very clean, not swept well and not vacuumed well. The appliances were not in working order, the windows would not shut and lock, there was a bedroom window without any blinds, the sheets did not fit the mattresses they had been placed on, there were dirty socks and trash left under beds from a previous guest and there was a dead bat in the garage.

My whole family stayed here while visiting Breckenridge for my Dad’s 70th birthday. It was a great home base for our Breckenridge visit. The Burro Trail was within walking distance of the house which was awesome for early morning hikes to get the day started. We had a few kinks upon arrival but the management company was very responsive and came out and got it cleared up.

Beautiful home and a short drive to the slopes and main street. All the supplies were well stocked up, plenty of room for larger groups of 15-20 people.

Many things in the house need repair, and the landlord and mgmt company did nothing when I reported it. Broken items include bunk beds, bunk ladder, hot tub, doors, lights, exposed outlets, dishwasher, toaster oven, carpet stains, etc. You can find a much nicer property for the cost!

The house was conveniently located, just minutes to downtown Breckenridge and easy access to slopes within walking distances. Two separate living spaces made it easy to spread out as there were 11 adults and 2 children. Very efficiently managed with great communication. The beds were not the greatest but overall it was a good fit for us.

Casa de Alta is a beautiful house with extremely convenient access to the ski resort via the Breck Free Ride silver line. Our group of 18 fit comfortably and had an amazing time both skiing the slopes and relaxing back at the house!

We had a great stay with our family & friends at this beautiful vacation house in Breckenridge. There was ample space throughout the house for our group. All of the house amenities met or exceeded our expectations. The close location to downtown & the ski resort was a huge plus as well.

We were warned in advance that there were boiler problems but were provided space heaters where needed. Had some minor issues like a coffee maker not working, lack of extra trash bags but have to commend the management company and their service!!!

For a large group of 15, the house worked really well, especially with most of the rooms having their own bathroom. The teenagers enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, while the adults were able to relax. Some parts of the house are a bit dated, like carpets and furniture, but it easy met our needs for a long weekend.

This was a great place for adults! Lots of space for bedrooms, pretty good kitchen facilities, clean, etc. The hot tub makes a lot of noise if you’re sleeping in either room beneath it. A fairly quick and easy ride into town.

1. Upon arrival the fireplace was on (end of June), house was extremely hot and smelled bad
2. Carpet ripped, exposing tack strip received cut on foot
3. Several of the ceiling fans did not work
4. Glass enclosed Bathtub/shower not usable, hot water valve missing
5. Several of the doors had loose hinges, causing doors not to close properly
6. Pod coffee maker not working, listed as "will not work in high altitudes"
With some repairs and upgrades, this could be a very nice property.

The property requires a deep clean, and an update, wear and tear are obvious. Carpet was torn, shower nozzles kept falling, stove/oven did not work correctly, grill located on porch did not work. Asked if we could use new appliances in lower part of house, we were told we could not.
We made the best of it since we had planned on cooking, brought groceries for that purpose so we wouldn’t have to make reservations, which are almost impossible to get.
I would not recommend this property to anyone.

The house was good an accommodated my entire family. Some feedback on some items that need maintenance. The bathroom with two sinks, the outer sink is missing the diffuser causing the water to spray out. The screen in the window is has a gap between the frame and the sill. The shower often changes from hot to cold then after a while back to scaling hot. The carpet in the bedroom was stained and worn. These are minor issues the your cleaning staff should have repoted to you. Overall the stay was good.
