The view from our room is very nice and we can see fireworks from our room. The onsen is also nice! The food was ok. The shuttle bus driver was very nice and polite.

Efficient and courteous staff, great location, nice hot springs bath, good morning buffet; overall our stay was comfortable and pleasant, and I would book again.
Nothing in particular, except the hotel and our room are a bit old.

A lovely onsen hotel overlooking the lake. The lake view from our room was wonderful and you could also see the nightly fireworks. Good food and plenty of it. Helpful and friendly staff. There is a bus stop outside the hotel where you can catch a bus to the Usuzan ropeway. Private baths are available for hire at an additional cost. This is a large hotel used by tour groups, but we didn't find that a problem. Good value for money. There is a shuttle bus to Toya station and when we left the staff waved an Australian flag to farewell us!
All good

The price is a little bit higher…

Location
Email communication: only replied two times even I repeated sending emails for asking the access ways to hotel!

It's an old-schooled Onsen Ryokan (Japanese style Onsen hotel). No doubt that the facility is old but if you want to experience the old day Japan, this is the place! They have rooms with Tatami mats and futon. You can walk around the hotel in Yukata bathrobe. Onsen (hot tub) was amazing. Good breakfast. Amazing view of Lake Toya and Mt. Yotei. Free firework show every night.

Excellent location by the lake. Breakfast is so so only
Hotel is very very very old, doesn't seem to have been refurbished for a long time. Very basic amenities, no kettle in room

Location, near the Toya lake
The bed and pillows made your body itchy, suspected to have mites!

the lake view from our room was exceptional and we could watch fireworks warmly from our room (may 2023). location of this property gives it an undeniable edge. also the price is cheap BUT you get what you pay for… ie. not very high quality accoms.
our toilet in room 602 smelled like SEWAGE. no matter how many times we flushed the toilet to try to “clear” the pipes. the hotel is EXTREMELY dated and old (my guess is about 20-30 years old) but then again, there aren’t many cheap options in the area. if u walk along the promenade the high end modern hotels will cost 2x as much. but the price of this old hotel would get u a 4 star modern accoms in sapporo. the hotel is 2 stars at best. also if u have back pain issues i wouldn’t recommend staying in a tatami room where u have to sleep on the floor.

Nice and Helpful staff. Proactively providing you the coupon for sight seeing point.
A little bit old. Can see part of the firework only as the ship would go to another side of the lake for firework.

Good location and great service of shuttle bus for dropping our group with big luggage at JR Station after check-out.
Facility is quite old but enough and comfortable for short stay.

Old fashioned facilities.

good view, friendly staff, good private onsen
I’m surely comeback to hotel soon
I can’t contact the hotel to pick me up when I arrive at JR station. Fortunately, I saw the driver’s hotel to pick up another guest, so I come to hotel with him.

I like the private onsen which have both the indoor and outdoor but i have to pay for it. Breakfast is average. The view from the room is great where lake is just 200m from you. The hotel is pricey.
Hotel room is pricey consider it is quite a old hotel.

Meal: excellent dinner! Chef and waitresses are friendly and professional. Breakfast: we arrived at 8:30am but the food are not hot/warm enough, mainly Chinese&Japanese choice.
Location: convinent location (5mins walk from bus station)
Room: suprised to have good view of the Toya lake in the room
Onsen: good~
Have luggage storage service
Shuttle bus is only provided at specific timeslot, not flexible at all. We need to take taxi to get there. Also, need to walk ~5mins to get the bus station (to/from JR station)
Cannot boil water in the room.
Toilet and room are small, even cannot expand the baggage.

Spacious tatami room with lake view. Breakfast and dinner not bad. Location quite good. The bus stop just in front of the hotel.
I email the hotel on the day before for the free shuttle bus from JR Toya station but no reply from them. If they replied at least I can arrange my arrival time at the station. I requested for 2.30pm bus and my arrival time is around 2pm. Waited until 2.30pm and no shuttle bus coming. End up I take public bus to the hotel. On top of that, they charge 300 yan per person for the public bath on top of the hotel charges for the hotel guest.

- Need to improve cleanliness in room

The onsen is good and clean. The view is beautiful.
The hotel is too old and very expensive for the things they are offering.

This is 100-300 meters from lake shore, excellent lake view. Onsen is another plus here, there are cave style, hot and cold style, grand bath and even sauna. Traditional Japanese breakfast was another treat to your senses. Staffs are also responsive.
Tatami floor rooms are a bit smelly, was expecting room freshener to be provided.
My biggest disappointment was aircon was not working for the entire hotel, not sure if this is an green initiative or not but it was very inconvenient to me and my family to keep the window open for entire night.
Private bathroom was super tiny like a child toilet.

The view of the lake from the breakfast room and (sea view) room, magical.
The building condition was worn out
4.0 / 5.0
The onsen were nice, location is good. Room is spacious although a bit dated.
The breakfast was not a buffet like excepted but set menu because of corona. The pillows are awful.

Location was good, right beside Lake Toya. They had in house cave onsen and public bath place. The cave onsen was pretty good and clean. They had free shuttle from the JR to the hotel and vice versa, which was a bonus, but booking the shuttle was a real hassle(see below)
Can’t contact the property via email as no email provided. Their responded via chat in booking.com was slow. I had to find public phone to call them to book the shuttle from JR to their hotel and the person who answered the call couldn’t really under English well, so it took me 20 mins to just book the shuttle.
The bathroom in the room was really small, u can hardly turn around in the bathroom. The heated water had really low pressure, so you basically bath with cold water during winter
5.0 / 5.0
Japanese room type with lake view is very big and spacious! Free sampling of snacks provided in room was good. Small arcade section with slot machines was greatly enjoyed by family! Buses stops (from JR Station and from Uzuzan back) in front of hotel. Free shuttle to JR Station.
Water temperature in room's bathroom is crazy difficult to set it right for showering. It's either extremely cold or extremely hot! Size of TV should be bigger.
