property was beautiful! breakfast was delicious and staff were super friendly. property was secure and parking was available off-street.
shower wasn’t cleaned as there was mold and mildew on the tile and in the runner of the shower doors. strange noises in the room and there was a large space on the bottom of the front door. mosquitoes ate us alive every day we were there.
the last Sunday night we were there we didn’t get much sleep, as the guests renting the room above us were making noise all night long, until 4am or so.

Wonderful staff, Beautiful garden and clean warm pool. Everything was in great working order. Coffee in the morning was excellent. Enjoyed the family-like atmosphere - cat, dog and sounds of many birds in the garden in the morning.
Lack of storage for clothes in the room - my stay was 4 days, so I had substantial amount of clothes'."Continental" breakfast (included in price, or one could purchase more for additional 100 pesos) was sub-par.

Very warm staff. Jane was excellent .

The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The owners were very personable and made you feel like one of their family. They upgraded me to one of their best rooms at no extra cost.
The only thing that I solid not like was that it was at the top of a long steep hill so walking back to the property was very tiring. Oi cured that by taking a taxi back at the end of the day, Very reasonable at 60 pesos per Trip.

Beautiful hotel that is gate so quite private and secure. Breakfast was very good. A ways off the main road so the hotel is nice and quiet. Staff was very friendly.
Nothing really. Some guests may consider the walk to the town square a bit long.

It exceeded our expectations of staying at Grandma's house
Not being able to flush toilet paper and shower floor needed better cleaning

The hotel was clean, cosy and very homey. A really lovely stay, with a home cooked breakfast that was great. I have food allergies and I'm vegan and they were very helpful and accommodating. The pool and garden area is lovely and the rooms are well looked after and lovely.
The pool wasn't heated but the area is lovely and it was still enjoyable.

Casa de la Abuela is simply fabulous! The owner, Gabriela lives onsite and is always making sure everything is great for her guests. Her entire staff is friendly, courteous and helpful as well. Gabriela will cook you breakfast to order every morning from a large selection of choices and her cooking is awesome, especially her French Toast and Huevos Rancheros!

Friendly staff. Nice pool. Good view from patio. Convenient to town. Adequate plumbing. Air conditioning worked.
Can’t flush toilet paper. Cheap, boring, small free breakfast. Immediate neighborhood is shabby. Building is old and could use an upgrade.

I love the family that runs the hotel. They are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are great. The food is delicious and there is a lot of it. The room was comfortable and spacious with an incredible view of the lake. Great location with a short walk down the hill into the center of town. I highly recommend Hotel Casa del la Abuela to anyone.

Breakfast was "to order" and very good. Family owner / managers were helpful and efficient. Garden was quite nice.
Location was dated and up a cobblestone road that would be difficult to for someone to navigate that was not in good condition. Inadequate lighting in bedroom and bathroom. Shower was difficult to adjust water temp and floor had heavy soap film.

The room and the entire hotel was clean, the bed was great, the workers were extremely nice and helpful. The garden is a little oasis with a great view to the mountain. The breakfast was delicious (we had chilaquiles).
La habitación y todo el hotel estaban limpios, la cama era estupenda, el personal era muy amable y atento. El jardín es un pequeño oasis con una gran vista de la montaña. El desayuno era delicioso (comimos chilaquiles).
There is nothing I would complain about. We strongly recommend to visit la casa de la abuela and have nice time there.
No hay nada de lo que me pueda quejar. Recomendamos encarecidamente visitar la casa de la abuela y pasar un buen rato allí.

The room was excellent and very comfortable. A/C was a bonus! The grounds are charming and there is a very very tiny lake view. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Note that Ajillic streets are very long so the number of blocks is deceptive. Try doubling them to get a truer correspondingly normal walking distance.
I would absolutely stay here again

Very firm bed. Unpleasent smell came from the bathroom shower.

We loved the breakfast! Especially the french toast and the service. It was fun to chat every day with Carlos and the other wait staff. The breakfast menu was varied and we tried several entres, liking all of them.
