とても綺麗でよく寝れました!

Clean, bunk space well designed with office / storage area under the bed.
The sign in process. Without the owner being present to help I would not have been able to access the property using the published check-in procedure. Rather than a cumbersome system used outside the building a simple access code should be given to the property. The online check in could then be completed inside the property where the scanning of your passport could be done in a safe and secure space rather than out on the street.

Very comfortable beds and plenty or restaurants nearby. Short walk to waterside and into central Onomichi.

Really good facilities with lots of room and a nice lounge. Good location too located just off the main shopping street. Connivence store opposite.
Nothing.

Best hostel I have ever stayed. Clean and well-organized. Each bed is equipped with a small desk and chair. The room does not get too crowded, and protects your privacy very well. They provide you with towels every day, and have small lockers for the valuables. The bed was also comfortable.
Being a non-staffed guest house, the speed of reply to messages is a bit slow.

The mattresses were very thick and comfortable to sleep on. The shower was very clean and they offered shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Everything looked well organized and well taken care of. The building is attached to a bar which was very fun. The other guests were friendly and the location was convenient for us!
It was good

We have the guest room with private toilet. The decoration is very nice and the room is very comfortable and clean.
If you need quiet place to fall asleep, this is not the good choice. The hotel is very close to the train track and the soundproof is bad. Trains even pass through frequently during the night so you can hear the sound very clearly. In the middle of night(1am), i was awake because the taxi drivers talked loudly and laughed downstairs street while waiting for customers on the street( i guess there might be entertainment place nearby). We slept like 2 hours.

It’s easy to find. There’s no front desk, but you’ll have no problem with self check in process. You can keep your luggage before CI time.

Ok so this review is for the twin bedroom, not the dorm. The room is HUGE by japanese standards and super well equipped, extremely comfortable. I felt like I was home. The twin bed is more like a double bed: it's a massive wooden frames with two matresses and a small gap between them, but you can just push them together if you're a couple and you're all set. The photos don't do this room justice, it's crazy good value. The izakaya is awesome, Kenji (the cook) is super nice and eager to learn about you and your culture and goes out of his way to communicate with a small translator. He's decorated the common area with all his heart and he's a man of taste.
Train tracks are close by (though that can be said for the whole city of onomichi) so that could be an issue when you're trying to sleep. That didn't bother us at all and we're light sleepers, but I thought I should mention.

The beda were super comfy and as a backpacker i had enough space to put my belongings away.

Amazing. Super clean, towels, tooth brush, even a small hairbrush provided.
Great location. Not too far from the train station and places were you can rent a bike. Just next to/ part of the arcade with shops and restaurants. Quite place tough.
I didn’t directly understand that the iPad to make the check-in was in the box on the right side.
For non Japenese, it’s a bit confusing to use the Japenese keyboard…

Very nice hostel. The layout of the cubicles were nice. I loved the bunk bed style with the desk beneath it. The wood finish also made it feel very comfy. The beds themselves also have a wooden sliding door that helps to separate it from the other beds. The bed was comfy and the duvet was nice and thick. It's self check in on arrival but the owner still was there to see me and help me get my check in done more smoothly.
Many dining options in the surrounding areas making it easy to look for food.
Showers were nice and clean with good water pressure. The hot water made it an excellent place to shower, especially after a long day of cycling.
They also have laundry facilities if needed (didn't use it this time though)
My phone GPS Got a bit haywire while travelling through the area making me. The 'popular Kubo Shop' on the google map might be a good landmark as it's on the bigger roads and less likely to cause confusion

Clean capsule style dorm room with clean showers and bathrooms.
The small entrance and door locks could be improved. The box to put the shoes in were difficult to open with shoes in one hand, balancing on the ledge and trying to open the box.

Clean and good facilities. Decent privacy in the cabins. Good location.
The wooden cabins were built as such that any time somebody walked past, the whole cabin would vibrate. This meant it was rather difficult to get a peaceful night's sleep. I also didn't like the lack of staff, I feel it's important to have staff physically present to deal with any issues or questions guests have. Other than that, the stay was good and comfortable.
