Location is amazing, staff were great (the guy that checked us in did a tour with us and told us many facts about the place, clearly very passionate about the hotel and his job), breakfast was fresh and tasty (staff there were lovely too), spacious room with a patio outside for some fresh air, towels for swimming pool also available for guests, gated parking with easy access for you to come and go, common areas very well maintainedand clean... and the view is just incredible! Highly recommend staying at Les 2 Canons and would definitely stay there again.

View from the room was amazing. Great location. Loved the restaurant for its sunset views, excellent service and very good food.

Petit-déjeuner très bon et copieux.
Bon restaurant.

Perhaps It would be better to have some free coffee at room

1. Excellent view from the room and a comfortable bed;
2. Ample places to sit and relax outdoors and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings with bird songs in the background;
3. Lovely breakfast with a variety of choice, which is always served with a smile.
4. Lunch and dinner is available at the hotel, serving great local dishes, which we enjoyed greatly.
Our stay was too short. We had to go back to reality!!!
4.5
Breakfast was great, Dinner not really same level but still good
4.5
Everything was perfect: location, rooms, people, service and the great restaurant with very fresh food for dinner - you HAVE to try it. Also the breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, cereals etc
4.5
Excellent accommodation, close to the beach, with few accommodation rooms which give us the atmosphere if a cosy place. Breakfast is excellent, parking places available at the property.
I was impressed by the kindness of some of the staff, especially the guardian (during the night they have a guardian to make sure the area is protect even if I think is not really necessary), which is a wise person, explaining me the history of Mauritius and some other usefully info about places around.
some of the staff people (from reception) has a basic attitude with customers, like in big hotels, not aligned with the atmosphere of the place. but anyway we had all we need / asked.
4.5
The property is small (it's 7 rooms in total) but well designed and maintained. It's got direct access to a secluded and small part of the larger Flic en Flac beach. Also it's just a short 5-10 min walk to the main Flic en Flac public beach and the gamut of restaurants in that area.
The property is perfect for those who want privacy, peace and appreciate the little things. There is a small, infinity pool with a bar and dining area set up around it and a small lawn with patio furniture for small groups to hang out.
Rooms are spacious and classy, with the necessary amenities made available. Parking is available within the property. Staff is warm and friendly and in fact, Peter (at reception) also gave us a little history of Flic en Flac and the property when he gave us a tour at check in. Much appreciated.
At least one of the rooms (TriAnon) has an open plan - the kind where the toilets and bathrooms aren't fully separated from the living space, with some partial partition to give a semblance of separation. I understand not all the rooms are like that but unfortunately my family and I had to suffer through one of them.
Personally I don't understand it and I don't care how luxurious a place is - toilets and bathrooms need to be walled off from the living space with their own doors (with latches/locks preferably) and ventilation. I would have docked many more stars for this place but the other factors do compensate quite a bit. However the owners need to seriously figure out a solution for these rooms.
4.5
nice location, small hotel, good breakfast, one front desk employee (Peter) was trying to give a good experience
Booked room (Studio) wasn‘t like expected (pictures much too beautiful, not telling the reality): it’s a container, corrugated iron shack with an urgent necessity to be renovated. Old, shabby, sagging ceiling and a bathroom with leakages and a bad smell, actually you can’t use it! And you do not want to live in it for that price at all. Please just compare pictures! ( I can just upload 4 pictures, could be much more to show that the status is awful and furnitures not the same as in the pictures in offer, wall and fence paint are old, wood is cracking, corrugated iron is rusty etc.)
Recommendation for all, don’t book or cancel immediately!
Also customer experience has been on a horrible
level (except breakfast and mentioned front desk employee who was trying and had an understanding for us as family with a small baby). Several attempts to address the issues by requesting a talk to a manager or to the owner weren’t successful. Nobody was interested in it, there wasn’t an approach at all from no one. Even worse there has been discussions with a specific front desk employee about the right level of cleanliness in the room and if it was happened at all and accusations of lying, on an unacceptable arrogant level - customer treatment at its worst.
Furthermore the facility is a bit strange because owner seems to have a favor for container, on the property there is also a ship container for the employees because other facilities being used for a laundry service side business. The place could be so much better and has a nice potential, but with that management and missing focus on the guest it is just a bad experience.

We liked absolutely everything. The staff were all exceptional, helpful and very nice. The room with a view over the pool and sea (and astonishing sunset) was perfect, just the mattress was a bit soft for my slipped disk. Their tiny restaurant is serving wonderful food (big portions!) and drinks. And the masseuse they work with is a dream. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying at Les 2 Canons.
Nothing!
4.5
- staff is beyond helpful and nice
- organizing a trip/taxi/renting a car was super easy
- very cute little boutique hotel
- we had a lovely big room with our own little terrace
- it is a bit noisy due to old wooden doors and thinner walls
- fridge was very small and leaking inside a bit (not a big problem tho :))
4.5
everything!! we had the most magical stay here! the staff went above and beyond, especially Pariksha in reception who helped us book a dream day out swimming with dolphin and even helped my partner secretly plan a surprise helicopter ride! including our own driver for the day who showed us around the sights of the city as a decoy!
The location of this boutique hotel is perfect, with stunning views overlooking the ocean! breakfast was great and the staff cooked us a special vegan Mauritian dinner despite it not being on the menu, they are happy to cater to whatever you need! the room was beautiful, cool, modern and clean! the swimming pool and bar area is really beautiful, always beds available at the pool side and just so relaxing. gutted to be home and would jump at the chance to stay here again! thank you les 2 cannons! xx
nothing - the only thing we would have liked is free coffee in the room! but that was minor, nothing to complain about
4.5
location, the views
poor quality of the studio. poorly equipped kitchen, air conditioning directly blowing on our heads. no ac in the living space. no plug sockets to accommodate a fan in the bedroom. leaking shower with no intention on fixing it, toilet seat closing in your back every time you sit on it.
4.5
A beautiful location with friendly staff! I loved it.

Clean & beautiful & friendly stuff. Breakfast was also great. Totally recommend!

The hotel has a wonderful position overlooking the local beach , it was a very relaxing view watching locals fish from the rocks .
The staff are really helpful here & try hard to welcome guests & sort any issues required.
The deluxe room we stayed in on our first night was a bit basic & had a very small outside space facing a wall which was very disappointing so I raised it with Pariksha on reception the next day she was very helpful & we moved rooms to a bigger deluxe with better outside space for the remainder of our 10 nights. I would say both rooms we stayed in were a bit tired and didn’t have a wow factor but they were comfortable enough & cleaned with a smile by Stefan every day .
The infinity pool was great but several times during our stay some young children not staying at the hotel were allowed to play/ swim & run around which was not relaxing for guests . The hotel is not adults only but the boutique nature & small pool do not lend themselves to kids and the noise they generate in my opinion.
The food menu had very limited fresh fish available - mostly tuna . This was disappointing & could have been better as most other local restaurants had a variety of locally caught fish & seafood. We did eat dinner a couple of times which was nice enough but choice was also limited .
Flic en Flac is a busy town which has plenty of local restaurants but they are pretty similar in type of food on offer & they are somewhat basic decor wise . We were disappointed with litter & general environment on arrival - after exploring other places by car though it seems Flic en Flac is better than most as there are towns which are run down & generally buildings are concrete many have paint flaking off giving a poor impression to tourists.
We found the traffic in Mauritius horrendous & did not expect that at all - it took ages to get anywhere due to sheer volume of cars using roads especially around Phoenix & Port Louis .

Dinner was alwaxs delicious. View from our bedroom was perfect and the stuff were super nice and helpful. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitly recomand it
Breakfast is a bit small but totally fine.
There is no directly acess to the sea for a real swim. So you have to walk a bit, which is okay
4.5
Good location in the touristic area of Flic en Flac, The swimming pool is really good and the sunsets are beautiful. The restaurant food was really tasty and good breakfast with variety.
The staff is really friendly and helpful special Dario the night watchman a really caring men.
Room not very clean, presence of cockroaches in the bathroom. There was a towel next to the sink because of a leak with no intention of fixing it.
Overall it is definitely not worth 150€ per night specially when they give a room without any kind of view and no reimbursement for the cockroaches in the room.
4.5
Stunning views, perfect quiet spot at the edge of town away from the street noise but 5 minute walk from a big supermarket and bars. Direct access to the beach where I walked every morning for a swim. Pariksha and everyone at reception are so friendly and helpful. They organised a full body massage for me which I highly recommend - really good and very affordable. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe staying here (although the waiter did give me his number without me asking!). Pariksha organised my airport transfer and onward taxi without stress.
Small things - Nespresso caps are provided in the rooms at a charge of 100rs each (about £1.80). This is pretty harsh considering the cost of the room - 3 free ones would be a good start. Rooms are spacious and clean and very comfortable but feel a little tired.
4.5
View and breakfast were perfect, we liked it. Staff was really kind.
Toilett was dirty, cleanliness was very poor in overall. (When we checked out, we mentioned it.)
Due to heavy rainy days, the water came up under the floor in the kitchen-livingroom area. We told this to the staff and they helped us immediately, thanks for the kindness and quick help again.

Welcome to SHANGRI-LA! Les 2 Canons is a heavenly microcosm of serene beauty and a cosy, friendly base. This former, family home is now a delightful six bedroomed, boutique hotel with sublime views from three of the bedrooms and the main hotel area, of the pool, lagoon and ocean and three exotic garden rooms to the rear. Secure parking is right there on site for your rental car. There is a delightful bar, breakfast and dinner area which faces the bijou pool and lagoon. The owner Paulette and her family are still pleasingly present and the whole atmosphere is one of friendliness and intimacy. Although I visited nearby, impressively brash and classy hotels during my stay, it was blissful to return to the beauty and simplicity of Les 2 Canons and I never found myself wishing I'd stayed elsewhere. Special mention must be made of the manager Pariksha who was not just kind, professional and courteous, but gave guests a warm and engaged experience of Les 2 Canons. Also each evening I so enjoyed my chats with Peter and his restaurant recommendations. Aptly named Engelle looked after house-keeping and I was hypnotised by his unique style and quiet charm. Also I must name other lovelies who added to the enjoyment of my stay: Brice and Alexa, Paulette's kids, Avi, Stefan and Ratna.
Flic en Flac is a great little west coast town. Les 2 Canons is brilliantly situated on a quiet residential street five minutes from the main drag with some brilliant restaurants (Sunset Garden, King Snack, Canne a Sucre, scrumptious pizza at Basilico, a funky bar Mafioso and an enormous supermarket.) If you want the real authentic Mauritius experience and a deliciously intimate boutique base, super-friendly staff, interesting fellow guests, fantastic breakfasts, dinners and transcendent views, book Les 2 Canons. Say Marsha sent you!!
4.5
Very nice and family-like atmosphere. Big room with everything you need, lovely staff. It is located at the nicest part of the Flic-en-Flac beach.
4.5
Nice calm vila surrounded by beautiful garden.
Absolutely delicious food!!!
Nice and helpful staff.
Lovely room with a comfy bed and a sea view. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay.
- The walls are not very thin, we heard our neighbors talking or taking a shower.
- Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the swimming pool during our stay because it was dirty and cleaning was ordered to day after our check out.
