Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, clean and comfortable beds
Nothing! It was a great stay and was a pleasant surprise in a quiet, serene location.

Property is beautiful. The river is fun to float down. Staff is courteous and nice.
Water refill stations were a nice touch
The prices on beverages and food is quite expensive. If you have a vehicle, I would drive to a few great restaurants for food in the area and skip eating at the hotel. Support the local community instead with better prices.

location next to beautiful clear river outside of city
very steep stairs, would not work for someone who has bad knees or hips or is handicapped.

it was like stepping back in time to a quiet colonial home with the ever-present sound of the river and birds in the background. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The family suite was MORE than we needed for our family of 6. It was fabulous to have so much room to relax and spread out

The hospitality and food were great. Everyone was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. This place is immaculately clean. The location is quiet, serene, and beautiful . The building itself was gorgeous with strong wood accent and dark mahogany colors. I loved all the verandas and balconies. You could close your room up or make it a lovely indoor outdoor space. Kids 9 and 12 loved it too. I would definitely come back.
I thought everything was amazing. Although this wasn't an issue for us but could be for others is all the stairs.

The property and location were beautiful… it was like stepping into a dream
It was very isolated so there were little alternatives if you wanted to eat something besides what they offered at their restaurant and there wasn’t a refrigerator or microwave to warm anything up.

The location was beautiful, a literal diamond in the rough. The staff (Marsha, Keith, Marie) were amazing hosts - so welcoming, attentive, and kind. Keith was our bartender and made us fantastic drinks and was great company. He gave us information about seeing the Mayan ruins and was very knowleagble about the area and Belizian history. We enjoyed chatting with him every day. We sent our breakfast & dinner orders to Marsha via WhatsApp and the staff prepared and served them at a time of our choosing. Marie served us with a smile every day and cleaned our rooms, refilling any supplies (coffee, water, etc) and folded the towels into new shapes every day. The facility suffered an historic flood back in November 2020, but you'd never know. The air-conditioning wasn't working at the time (they were working on repairing it), however, the family suite we stayed in had several ceiling fans and french doors you could leave open all night (no bugs!), so it wasn't an issue for us. Super peaceful, very laid back atmosphere....We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nothing to do with Mahogany Hall, but the roads in the area are challenging. Most are not paved and have many potholes. Just go slow and be careful.

Beautiful setting on the river and only a 10 minute drive from San Ignacio and 5 minutes from Grocery Stores in Bullet Tree. Rooms are beautiful , clean and well accommodated. Marsha (manager) is friendly and accomdating as are all of the staff. Special mention to Jose. He greeted us upon arrival and was there to say bye as well.
