About this apartment rental
Come relax for a long term stay in this charming, well-appointed, pet friendly apartment located in the heart of Asheville's historic Montford neighborhood. House was built in 1925 and has been recently renovated. It features a roomy front porch, back balcony, gas grill, fenced in backyard, hardwood floors, wood burning fireplace, stocked kitchen with gas range, DW, W/D, A/C, high speed (free)Wi-Fi, and smart tv. Two large bedrooms with big closets and high-end, American made, comfy, queen mattresses ensure you will sleep like a baby. There is also a dedicated office space for folks working remotely. Popular eateries, watering holes, and grocery stores are within walking distance. Take a walk in the old neighborhood or on the Reed Creek Greenway. Montford Park is just a block away where you can play tennis, hoops, or practice your Tai Chi. Downtown Asheville, UNCA, and the Botanical Gardens are a short walk. Whether you are relocating, looking for a new house, renovating your existing house, or seeking a safe retreat for a few months with the pooch, our Montford home may be for you! Please note that the old house is now split into three living spaces (apartments A, B, and C). There are long-term (friendly and quiet) tenants upstairs in apartment B. The basement apartment is used (by me), on occasion, for storing supplies and doing laundry between stays.

We love staying at Donna’s place-perfectly comfortable and convenient. The fenced back yard is especially nice for my dogs who tag along. I also love that it’s walking distance to downtown and grocery stores. We can’t wait to stay there again next year😊

We spent 3 months here while looking for our new home. The Montford District is just amazing, great walking neighborhood, and Donna's place was the perfect base for us to explore Asheville. The extra room worked great as an office space and guest room. My cats loved the house and neighborhood too.

Stayed a week and really enjoyed the location and all the amenities of the property. Walked to the farmer's market at UNC Asheville and various restaurants. Easy drive (around 5 minutes) to all the major supermarkets and downtown. The neighborhood has a great vibe.

I love staying here! It reminds me of our first home. The kitchen is well equipped so I can take advantage of the farmers markets in Asheville. The neighborhood is very walkable

Can't recommend this place enough. The property itself was very clean and spacious, had a well stocked kitchen, and had a nice front porch and yard space. The owner was amazing to work with. She was always very responsive and was very flexible relative to our dates and plans which changed a few times. She was always very accommodating and generous including leaving us a welcome basket. She also provided us with a calendar at the end of our stay featuring her own photography. Her talent was also displayed in various locations in the house. The location of the house can't be beat with the ability to walk to neighborhood restaurants and a short walk to all that downtown Asheville has to offer.
The house was also pet-friendly which was great for us. The owner even has furniture covers available to help lessen your worries about your pets damaging the furniture.
Again, not a detail was missed, including the plush bath towels. If you are looking for a great place to stay in a great location with a property owner who takes pride in their property, and who will make sure your stay is perfect, then I highly recommend staying here.

Montford neighborhood
This we really enjoyed staying at this property. The house has a very homey feel and has everything you would need. I took advantage of being close to excellent grocery stores and the Asheville farmer’s market to prepare most of our meals in the unit, but you are also very close to lots of farm to table restaurants. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect Asheville cottage
We loved staying at Donna’s Montfort area cottage. The house is perfect and the neighborhood is wonderful for in town walking among amazing houses and mature trees. Greenway just down the street. Close to everything. Donnna was a fantastic host who made sure everything went smoothly during our time there.

Fantastic host & charming property!
We absolutely loved staying in this adorable duplex/cottage in historic Montford in Asheville. The home itself was super charming, and I especially appreciated the luxurious bedding in the master--I truly hated to leave it! We had excellent office space as both of us work full time from home and worked out of this property for 4 weeks with no issues. Donna was an extremely attentive host and responded quickly to questions. She was so kind and thoughtful and we were appreciative. The neighborhood itself is a great combination of beautiful trees and flowers, historic inns and homes, and is less than a block from a really pretty and active park. We walked often to 2 fabulous restaurants, Nine Mile and All Day Darling, and also rode bikes to Riverside Cemetery, a must-see beautiful location. All in all we enjoyed the stay tremendously and appreciate the ways in which Donna made sure we felt at home.

Everything I wanted in a vacation home
This house is located in a wonderful location in Asheville with plenty of places to walk. The home is very clean, decorated beautifully and has a well stocked kitchen. I loved the look and feel of it and felt at home right away. The beds are super comfortable. My dog loved the place, too. There's a large fenced in yard in back. There's a great front porch and little yard area for people and pets. Donna is a gracious host and took care of every little detail, having things available around the house that one might need (including a poncho, flashlight, towels for the dog, and even an extra pair of gloves!!). My stay in Donna's home made my whole experience in Asheville that much more amazing. I will look forward to staying here again!
