About this house rental
The Whitehouse - A convieniently and ideally loclated, tranquil Adelaide gem.... in city-fringe unpretentious, Parkside. A neighbourhood, bursting with character with its charming Victorian villas, Cottages and meandering Cycle Paths, bordering the sprawling Southern Park Lands.....All within easy walking distance to Adelaide City......with easy access to Adelaide's VAILO 500 Track, The Iconic Adelaide Oval, The Convention Centre, Adelaide’s Fringe venues, The Festival Theatre as well as Adelaide's main attractions.
You'll enjoy the full internal use of this private spacious, two storey home, as well as the encompassing private manicured garden and external front & back courtyards. As outlined in the detailed internal and external space descriptions and photos. With open & airy, large, modern, light-filled, high ceilinged, kitchen/dining & living areas. Fully equipped with all modern appliances and reverse-cycle air conditioning throughout.
Secure parking, remote controlled security garage as well as additional off-street (front courtyard) parking, safely located behind the main slatted timber electric slide gate.
***BEDROOM 1***
Ground floor has a bedroom with 1 double bed and single wardrobe, fully accessible, through a 1.62 metre, fully closeable, private double door (no steps or stairs) Serviced by a separate enclosed shower and separate... 1/2 bathroom (bathroom vanity and toilet) with ground floor access (no steps or stairs) conveniently situated next to this bedroom.
***BEDROOMS 2 and 3 ***
Upstairs are two LARGE, double, light filled bedrooms,
BEDROOM 2, has a Queen Bed, a Single Bed....And extensive fitted wardrobe space.
BEDROOM 3, has a Queen bed, a bunk bed (2 single beds, placed one above the other.)....And extensive fitted wardrobe space.
Both bedrooms are serviced on the same floor by a a fully tiled main bathroom with indulgent spa bath, large vanity, and frameless glass shower.
BEDROOM 4, is located in a central upstairs area with a single bed, small TV, Scandi single lounge chair, as well as generous storage cupboards.
All the beds have linen supplied, with pillows, sheets, quilts & quilt covers, including throw blankets to keep you nice and warm at night-
***Kitchen***
Situated on the ground floor is the white cabinetry modern kitchen providing a 900mm stainless steel Smeg gas cooktop and under bench oven with canopy rangehood.
There is a two-drawer smeg dishwasher and abundant storage, including a good size pantry and a further pull-out pantry.
The double width island benchtop with double sink, has soft touch opening cupboards on each side.
Adjoining the kitchen is a spacious high ceilinged, light filled dining and living area with full width cafe doors opening onto a sandstone patio and a 7 seated, stylish, outdoor dining table, covered by a UPF50+ gazebo to protect you from the sun. There is also a BBQ, (not under cover) with the rear patio flowing onto a landscaped, well established, and fully maintained garden.
Secure parking, remote controlled security garage as well as additional off-street (front courtyard) parking, safely located behind the main slatted timber electric slide gate.

The ‘fourth bedroom’ was a bed in a corridor which didn’t have 4 solid walls so the inaccurate description meant we booked and paid for a house which was completely unsuitable for our family. This house had many beds but not 4 separate bedrooms (which is the main criteria I used to book it) and we were unable to watch tv or use the 2nd bathroom after our youngest child went to bed. The front gate, dishwasher and BBQ were not functioning.

My sister and my family with adult children stayed for 4 nights. It was tight from a sleeping perspective. The place had plenty of space to lounge and live though.

My family and I had the chance to spend four months in this amazing location in the heart of green Adelaide, Australia. A block away from an extended linear reserve (green park with running and bike paths), walkable distance to grocery stores, banks, and a great library, this well maintained house is fantastic for families, visiting scholars and those looking for a quiet place to stay. New appliances, large backyard with tent for shade, and multiple bedrooms + bathrooms. Strongly recommended.

We came from - NT, QLD and VIC for a family reunion 65yrs in the making. We were able to host get togethers and had a great base camp. My Dad met his brother for the first time since they were kids.

Very spacious, modern and light property.Stayed during winter holidays to visit nearby family.Peter was delightful to deal with and greeted us at the property to run through the facilities.Our only criticisms were that access to the upstairs bathroom, for all three bedrooms, was through the middle (studio)bedroom;More cups and mugs and cutlery would have been good(drawer dishwasher used but took ages so we hand washed a lot.)& there were only two spare blankets-the heating worked well but had to be left above 20 which was too stuffy at night so left it off.We borrowed blankets from family but I’m sure Peter could provide more if requested.A clothes dryer would be good in winter.Quiet neighbourhood and close walk to shops and Cat Cafe! :-). Used local Thai and pizza takeaway which were great! Plenty of room for extended family to gather for meals etc.Thanks Peter for your warm hospitality:-) Amanda, Lewis and family.

This was advertised as 4 bedroom 2 bathrooms. Reality was we got 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 queen bed and single bed / Bedroom 2 queen bed and bunk beds. A single bed outside bathroom area. Downstairs a toilet and a utility room / storage area for mops etc. with washing machine and shower. Open plan area for kitchen / dining area/ living area. Large doors leading to patio and garden.
Owner didn’t charge for few nights grandchildren stayed and allowed us to stay full day on departure day.

We chose this property to house a group of friends who travelled to Adelaide for the long weekend to visit some wineries. It was perfect for our needs and Pete was very easy to deal with. Would absolutely stay again

This was a well presented property inside and out. Neat, clean and tidy with everything you could possible need. We had a relaxing stay, it's a fantastic location and Peter is an attentive host. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful home, the photos definitely don’t do if justice. A new outdoor setting and marquee was perfect too! Peter is a lovely host and was very accommodating for our group.

My stay in Parkside was great. Lovely house, plenty of space and Peter was a great host. Luckily he warned me about Baz the lizard who lives in the backyard!
I’ll definitely be staying at the White House again.

We arrived by an early flight and Peter the host was very gracious to allow us an early check in. His place is very clean and there is a nice lounge, kitchen and garden area but it was not for 12 people to sleep. There are two bunk beds that are suppose to have two people sleep but they creak like crazy with the slightest movement, the noise do loud that it would yractt we l to the other bedrooms. Had a very bad night and were forced to bring down all the mattresses to get a better night sleep. We did mention this to Peter but it was Easter and he couldn’t get it fixed. Suggestion they fix those beds and accept lesser people for a comfortable stay.
