The hotel has a unique interior, the combination of old and new is interesting and an experience of its own. The staff was very nice and friendly and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast altho the typical Swedish table was delicious with fresh ingredients and plenty of options.
The bathroom can get very humid after a shower due to poor ventilation.

This is a bed-and-breakfast, very clean, with a friendly woman owner or co-owner. The bedrooms are rather bare, with no luggage racks, no paper tissues, nothing but the basics. There is no lift. The charming thing about this place is the basement breakfast room where a hearty selection is offered for 9.5 Euros per person. You eat under a collection of mechanical and model transportation toys, with murals of Adam being awakened by God (by Michelangelo) and people feasting in the house of Levi (Veronese....both in reproduction. Upstairs are murals of Dresden, culminating in the famous "Sistine Madonna" by Raphael, which is a star attraction of the excellent art museum. The hotel is a vry few steps along the Plattleite street from the tram (temporarily bus) stop that goes to the Neustadt railroad station and to the city center.
Insufficient comfort in the room---at least luggage racks and paper tissues, as noted above. A room described as for 3 would be pretty crowded if a third person were there. The value for money ratio wasn't as good this time as it was in the pre-pandemic past but the owners need to make up for lost visitors during the pandemic so the room cost more than we thought it was worth. It can certainly be recommended for cleanliness and the warm personality of the woman who owns it and tends to breakfast and check-in/check-out.

Nice breakfast canteen! No unforeseen wake up because of the church bells like in the center of Dresden.

The hotel is comfortable, the beds were comfortable. There is a very close tram stop that takes you to the center of the city, so it is easy to reach main places, although it requires a bit of time. We did not try the breakfast. Overall a good stay for sleeping and enjoying the day at the city.
Bathroom vent was not working.

Great for a couple of nights. Balcony would have been awesome in the summer,
Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been - Kinda looked like a man had spraying problems that were not addressed.

We have stayed in this hotel before, as it is convenient for us to visit friends who live nearby. Since we only really needed a bed for the night (we had breakfast with our friends) we found the hotel perfect for our needs. Room was spacious, confortable and very clean, pleanty of storage, and the staff were friendly and unobtrusive. The price for the room was very reasonable, and the facilities, while basic, were more than adequate for our needs. Will definately continue to use this hotel in future
The shower room facilities were a little basic and dated, but everything worked well, so no serious complaints

The shower was nice and hot, soap smelled pleasantly. The interior of the room caught one's eye, as well as many decorations on the floor and on the ceiling, knights, pictures that gave it a historic atmosphere. The breakfast was perfect; we had time from 7:30 -10 am, which was also very fitting to our schedule. They had various types of foods and drinks, which was also a great thing to have. We surely enjoyed the breakfast because of the many types of foods we could choose from. Moreover, the service was friendly and welcoming, no issues with the service at all.
The water didn't flow off in the basin in the bathroom as the tap remained stuck in it. Also, there were just a few TV channels available that got interrupted sometimes due to internet connection.

We booked two nights. When we checked in, they informed us that we can pay money anytime on next day, but they withdrew money from my credit card without informing us and that was in the morning after first night. Later they told us that they took money because my credit card information was here at booking.com without apologizing. It was very uncomfortable. However, the shampoo (only soap for bath) was empty and we had to take a shower just with water.

The pillows are not so comfortable. Over the TV was something with a strong blue light, I had tu put a towel on it to sleep. If you want to park there, you muss pay 6 EUR
