Best stay

Always a warm welcome . . Really nice friendly efficient staff , nothing is too much trouble for them . Food is really good too . What's not too like ?? Thank you had the best stay again !!

Excellent overnight in a strategic location

The welcome, the room, the bar, the conservatory, the food, all top notch.

The current grey over grey trend décor is not to my taste, but it is very well executed and the style is harmoniously applied to the whole property.

Road side rooms noisy, even on a Sunday morning, could do with more sound proofing.

Overall a very nice little hotel and great value for money.

The room/bathroom was very clean and tidy, with a good shower. Good breakfast (full English) portions could do with being a little bigger, but they are not a show-stopper. the lunchtime and evening meal menu are excellent and worth a visit alone, very good value for money. The staff were excellent throughout our stay and helped us out as we needed to work during on stay. Overall a very nice little hotel and great value for money.

Really good stay in a comfortable, friendly and clean hotel. Great for Polar Express

Friendly, comfortable, clean, modern, easy to find, plenty of parking, great location for the Polar Express and nearby railway station, very nice food and bar.

Walls are very thin and our room window wasn’t very soundproof. Noises from the train station kept us awake one night which not necessarily the hotel’s issue but improved soundproofing could help.

I would recommend this as a comfortable place for a solo female traveller.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a few queries, which were all dealt with courteously and efficiently. My room and bathroom were comfortable and well presented. The breakfast was excellent.

I am struggling to think of anything bad!!

Worth the money and close to A1(M), but not too close.

Room was adequate for my needs Comfortable bed Electric shower was very good witjh good pressure at all temperatures Plenty of car parking

My room was right above the kitchen extractor fan, which was noisy but was switched off at 9pm.

It’s very clean, tiday & lots of amenities. The staff go above & beyond to help. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant onsite has a nice variety of food. Very tasty.

Only downside, the room was very hot. No fan/ac but we got around this be having the windows open.

Friendly, clean & comfortable.

Great place to stay while attending a wedding nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was just the right size, with room to prepare for the celebrations. Good breakfast and the evening meal we had was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Some noise from the busy road, but that was expected as I had looked at the location before booking.

Wonderfully, comfortable, friendly stay

Loved this property and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious too. Mattress, pillow and linen extremely comfortable.

It was our fault we should have stipulated a none road room. Living in a very quiet area it did mean it took some time to nod off.

Great location, fair food, nothing cracking, good selection of guns and I had a nice few beers.

Location for what we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Room next to road, was very loud road traffic, noise from pub also, which I can understand. Good fair but red hot in conservatory no windows opened.

So our room (204) was above the kitchen ‘ in the morning when they fired up the cookers ‘ we got the smell of burnt cooking fat wafting through our open windows .

disappointing

The Reubens is well placed for an overnight stop while travelling on A1. good parking available on site. Room was large and the breakfast was excellent , served by a very pleasant member of staff.

I arrived on Sunday evening after a long drive expecting to get a meal. I had not been informed by booking.com that there was no food available on Sundays. the member of staff who told me this was not very helpful, directed me to a carry-out pizza place about 3 miles away. No good

Accommodating friendly staff, make sure you are well looked after.

I was a late arrival and they were very helpful getting me to my room and ensuring I knew where all the local amenities were. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, cooked to order and all fresh.

Nothing I could see from my stay. It was staffed by friendly people who were very helpful. No issues with my stay.

Wouldn't recommend it to anyone wishing to stay over a Sunday night.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very easily accessible from the A1.

We weren't told that food wasn't available Sunday evening! And that most places locally were the same, or closed their kitchens at 5pm. We had to drive into Northallerton , where we found a lovely Italian restaurant. The breakfast was very poor,we had full English, the components seemed as though they had been pre cooked and kept hot, the result was bacon like leather and dried fried eggs. The staff were friendly and cheerful though. The view of the junkyard from our room was disappointing considering the hotel is in a beautiful area.
