Very good

We stayed for 13 days in the Hotel. Overall stay was hassle free. easy check in and check out, the property is cleaner than others. staff was helpful. Beds are comfortable and linens were changed everyday, In room dining has very good masala tea and food from the Famous Ustaadi Restaurant next door.

During booking it was mentioned that breakfast is available at property for 100 INR each where as they demanded 250 INR each. Linens were changed everyday, but the pillows from inside weren't clean or new, were used from a long time without washing.

This hotel can improve its facilities

Near market and railway station

Building looks very old from outside, there is no car parking and others who owns the front road doesn't allow other cars to even drop their clients.

i arrived in Mumbai after midnight, so this hotel was an ideal location for the station- I walked there in 10-15 mins. Check in at that time was smooth ( I did message them to let them know my arrival time) and I left my luggage there the following day while I did some sightseeing.

it was ok for me but the noise from the station/trains might affect your sleep.

Try a different hotel

Good location, hot shower and comfy bed.

We arrived at 2am after a delayed train and we needed to leave at 8am for a flight. We were exhausted and explained this to the man on reception. The check in still took over 45 minutes and I’m not even sure what he was doing all this time. Was frustrating that he couldn’t speed up the process or let us do it the next morning (we had already paid). Pre arrival communication was poor where they did not reply to our messages regarding our stay. Mould on the ceiling and walls that has been (badly) painted over.

A little gem

This little gem of a hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. The rooms have been updated, so are comfortable and fitted with fresh new fixtures and fittings. The room even had a fridge, tea/coffee making and a safe. The location was great. not only near the famous Crawford Market but there is also a huge local market area right on the doorstep where you can buy anything and everything you might need. The market is for locals, so no inflated tourist prices and no hassles. Even though it is on and/or near some major throughfares, the room was quiet while giving easy access to some of Mumbai's major attractions.

There are few options for breakfast nearby until after 9am. Once the hallway carpets are replaced and the hallway walls plastered - the Crawford Inn will be a very pleasant little hotel. At the moment the access to the rooms lets the place down. Because the windows of the rooms are overlooked by other properties, the window blinds cannot be opened meaning that the room is dark and lights need to be used. If the windows could be fitted with reflective tinting film (where the occupant can see out but no one can see in), then not only will the rooms be filled with natural light but will also save the hotel on electricity.
