The place exceeded our expectations! In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by nature, great pool to chill out in the heat, wonderful host, we were concerned by the distance from the city at the beginning but you can eat lunch and dinner in the place, and do not need to go to the city. For extra money of course but very good food.
The included Breakfast could be improved.

A real gem in the middle of the rainforest. Stunning nature all around, friendly and welcoming owner, comfortable cottages. We visited Peru when there were riots and roadblocks everywhere, but we felt very safe and protected in La Habana Amazon Reserve. The two dogs on the premises deserve extra praise: they are perfectly behaved and one of them always accompanied us when we went to the rainforest or the river - very safe. We definitely recommend having dinner there as well - the best food we ate during our three-week trip to Peru (Lomo saltado, Milanese chicken, etc.).
Everything was good

Very nice in a quiet place. Very good to enjoy the jungle!

all concept of a lodge in the jungle is very appealing . short drive from the fuzz of the city of Puerto Maldonado
the management is not focus on receptive tourists. mostly is a place for locals spend a family day on the pool and making bbq. I did not like see that many people making noise and children screaming all day .

The location was wonderful. Beautiful, well-kept environment; just hanging out there was enjoyable. It is a 30~40 min drive to the city though which is something to consider where there is not lunch or dinner available.
There were signs everywhere telling you what you are NOT allowed to do with subsequent penalties for infringement; it'd be much friendlier to just inform guests of expected behavior. That was a put off.

Very nice, calm, comfortable, and lovely place to stay. I liked La Habana Amazon Reserve. This complex is far away from the noisy streets of PM, situated in the middle of pure nature. The rooms were quite big, cozy, and comfortable with everything that you need. No MOSQUITOS NET needed! The host was very friendly, and useful and he organized a tour for us. You could pay for everything with a card.
Nothing, everything was perfect.

out in the jungle. Saw monkeys and other Wild animals by just walking in the area.

the facilities were amazing!!!!! The food was fresh and the staff very friendly
the rooms were pretty basic and could have been more clean! didn’t match the quality of the rest of the hotel

What I liked was that the hotel wasnt very close to the city so you could really experience being in the jungle. I also liked that each guest has their own cabin.
Breakfast was delicious.
I think they could clean the cabins better inside, there are a lot of spiderwebs and they could also use better sheets for the beds.

I loved it. Beds are comfortable, the place is beautiful! The food is cooked with love and care. Amazing food. There is no menu, the food just comes to you at the time, which we honestly liked, it's different, but never a disappointment.
The toilets next to the lounge area were not well maintained.

The property itself was absolutely stunning, and the brothers who run the place were so lovely and accommodating. They helped us organise tours, and taxi’s and when we were very hungry they drove off to get us snacks. The beds were very comfortable
The bungalows we stayed in were pretty, however the fan was not very strong (no air con) and so they would get incredibly hot as you couldn’t keep the door open because of the mosquitos. The pool wasn’t cleaned so was full of bugs so that was a bit disappointing as we couldn’t use it. We were full board and the food they cooked was fantastic, however it would have been nice to have been able to choose what we wanted, we were staying in off season so we were the only guests so I appreciate that probably limits the choice however if we could have at least had two options to choose from for dinner or lunch the next day that would have been nice. The place is extremely remote and they have no snacks on the property and the nearest shop is about a 20 minute drive so come prepared if like us you get hungry between meals

Nice staff
Small family-owned lodge , 7 or 8 bungalows
Clean
Pool is nice and well maintained
Location is not ideal: 30mn away on a bumpy dirt track, need to take it back and forth for every move and every excursion
Picture of the lodge is misleading, it is not on the water at all
Dinner / food is ok but fairly basic
We booked a room for a family of 4 - bungalows would be nice for 2 but were excessively small for 4
The hotel overpriced the excursions (we realised it was 2 or 3 times the price we paid when we went direct to tour organisers)
