This house is very comfortable and well located being just a 5 min walk into the Main Street of Daylesford. Nice new bathroom with a great rain head shower and central heating throughout. Even a nice fireplace if it’s cold out. Comfy bed and couches to relax in and fully equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and would book it again. The host was very helpful and attentive. Overall Kookaburra Cottage was great and is highly recommended.

Lovely cosy home. Ideal for short stays in this beautiful town.
As soon as we entered the property it oozed warmth & cosiness. The heating, lights and music was on making you feel relaxed as soon as you stepped thru the door. Equipped with all the essentials, with comfy beds and hot shower. The property listed a hot tub which wasn’t there, yet of no concern to us as I probably wouldn’t have used it. There is an open fire yet not set up for use, again not of any concern as the property was sufficiently heated . Just may need to amend the listing details. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

We had a great stay in Kookaburra Cottage, even though it was cold outside it was lovely and cosy inside. Everything we needed was in the cottage and it was a very short stroll into Daylesford. I would definitely come back again.

This is such a cute cottage, I had the recurring thought that I should just move in and stay forever. The kookaburra theme, proximity to the town and skate park, and the overall convenience was divine.
Very impressed.

Warm & cosy on arriving. Very clean. Accessible to everything in Daylesford just down the road from wombat Hill botanic gardens & up hill from Lake Daylesford. Loved the little dining table where we sat & looked out to a beautiful view to the hills. Would definitely stay again but remember to bring your own firewood if you want to use fire place. We didn't need to as ducted air con warmed the place nicely.

The property was just as described, I was traveling with my Mum and teenage children. It was great that we had everything we needed within walking distance and then come back to a cosy lounge lounge room where we could enjoy each other's company around the fireplace.

The host Annie, was extremely welcoming and made certain that the cottage had its central heating and main lights turned on for our arrival.
The cottage was well appointed, clean and comfortable. It contained all the necessary furnishings and household items to make our stay stress free. The location of the cottage is within minutes of the shopping precinct and restaurants/cafes.
Daylesford lake is within walking distant of the cottage and provides an excellent venue to exercise your dog.
It really was a truly outstanding venue at which to rest and relax.

Family members came together from country Victoria and SA to catch up after a number of years. It was great to meet again, to explore Daylesford and surrounds and visit sites from the past ie Daylesford Highland Games in 1960s also Maldon old disused mines and town. Thankyou. Our ages ranged from 50-88.

We stayed for a week. Great little cottage with large back garden which our woofer loved. Annie is the best Stayz host ever. Great for keeping in contact and dealing with our requests. We've stayed here years ago so know great and comfortable in all weather conditions and close to town. Will be back.

What a lovely little cottage just around the corner from the main shops of Daylesford. After visiting the boutiques and cafes literally within walking distance of the cottage you can sit in the comfy chairs and watch a tv show or movie or just take in the outdoors on the covered deck. And when you’ve finished exploring Dayelsford or the Goldfield towns like Castlemaine, Marysville, Ballan and others you can sink into your hotel quality bed and recuperate from busy city life. Being able to bring our fur babies was an added bonus and made it a true family holiday. Would highly recommend Kookaburra Cottage for a get away.

We enjoyed our stay at Kookaburra Cottage.
The cottage was very well equipped with all that we needed for a nice stay.
The nights were chilly, but the heating warmed the house nicely.
Our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the backyard - plenty of space to run.
Being within walking distance from the centre of town was an added bonus.

The cottage was cozy, warm and well presented. Extremely close (1min to the Lake house) to where we were meant to be attending a wedding. Annie, the host was lovely, flexible, considerate and very responsive to our queries. Our dogs loved the backyard, the sun, the trees and the sound of the birds in the morning. The property is very close to the town centre and servo. We had a long day at work & a late start to our drive to Daylesford and were able to just have a relaxing stay. Small thoughtful touches like additional throws, blankets, being welcomed to calming music & central heating, doggie bowls, a kennel, a lovely deck, the brand of coffee and brown sugar caught our eye. Our furbabies and us loved the stay. And recommend the cottage to anyone who may be thinking of bringing their furbabies along/family along. Thank you for having us and making our stay comfortable.

Kookaburra Cottage was a warm and comfortable place to spend a few days. We loved that it is so close to the main town and that it is dog friendly. The back yard is fully secured so our little dog Cooper was safe to check the yard out.
The heating is wonderful as is the comfortable bed and we appreciated the lovely soft & large bath towels.
Unfortunately for a few days there was building of a house going on next door and it was noisy early morning. However the days they weren’t there it was very quiet.
Annie was very communicative and was easily contacted.
