The whole setting is fantastic. The service is always top notch, hence why we keep going back. It holds a special place to us as we got married there too.
There is nothing that we don't dislike about the place.

Lovey location, very cosy.
Telly didn’t by pick up any channels properly. We do like night time TV.
4.5
Spacious, clean room with great facilities, the Inn is in a lovely village setting, and the food I had for my evening meal and breakfast the following morning was top notch! If I'm ever working nearby again the I'll certainly be back
Despite the road outside being a 30 limit in a quiet village there seemed to be a lot of cars speeding through, the Inn can't really do anything about this so im nitpicking as nothing wrong with my stay other than this
3.5
great location, scenic spot, historic building
very hard pillows, veggie choices at dinner very limited

Bed was very hard and room very hot
4.5
lovely place! food and staff was amazing.
could of done with a mini fridge in the room for some cold drinks in the middle of the night but apart from that the stay was lovely
3.5
Excellent shower and facilities in room such as refreshments. Young female waiting staff on Sunday morning was superb. Food and beverages throught the weekend was good quality.
The mattress was far too soft and uneven and the pillows far too hard. Needs replacing I would suggest. Only narrow stairs to get up to the floor we were on made it very challenging. Staff discussing other customers in our earshot. Some of the wedding waiting staff need to develop a sense of humour and realise that the customer comes first. Supervising staff member at wedding was quite stressed and it showed.

Really enjoyed our stay and thank you especially to the staff who were so helpful and friendly.

Loved everything about this place
4.0
Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The only incovenience was having to endure the footsteps on the floor above. The breakfast was limited but well done and dinner and service were very good.
I would have preferred to stay on the upper floors as the rooms on the ground floor were next to the road.
4.5
pet friendly and lovely room with great very comfy bed .
breakfast very good as freshly made for each order.
scenic area below Huddersfield
unfortunately a lot of road noise after 7.00am

The whole experience went well, even if I managed to lose my way to the property in the “dark”
Nothing not to like, the visit was quite faultless

A problem was swiftly dealt with which meant we were quickly moved to a bigger room. The breakfast was copious and delicious.

location was great
food was expensive and could have been better
2.5
We liked the pub very friendly staff
Breakfast was very good
Lovely countryside area
And clean room
The sink is the shower room was blocked had to wait for the water to go (room 7 )
Was disappointed that there was no entertainment on in the pub we have been twice before and was looking forward to another good nights entertainment especially with it being new year eve
But unfortunately we was told that they don't have entertainment on in the pub anymore this was disappointing and the atmosphere wasn't the same so like I said we have been 3 times now but we will not be going next year

The place is beautiful and quiet, with several outdoor and indoor seating, parking and a restaurant
2.5
The Hotel was lovely to look at, really pretty, cosy bar and restaurant.
Lovely evening meal
We stayed NYE, hoping for a warm welcoming experience. I paid £130 for the room which was I suppose reasonable for NYE?
Really odd “welcome” check in by a man who didn’t speak to us never mind welcome us ?
We were directed to the garden rooms accross the road,
Our room was so small, tiny bathroom. I love to have a relaxing bath before dinner so obviously that was out of the question. We settled down to watch a Xmas film but only reception for Chanel 5!
Food prices were very expensive as well as drinks. Some of the staff not sure if he was the Manager was moody and definitely did not give us a warm welcome. The same sort of reception at breakfast. You were asked to help yourself to drinks and some items of breakfast but even though we were there at 9.30, there was no juice, butter side plates. This sounds like it’s being picky but it just added to the overall negative experience. I asked for poached eggs, which were cold and I couldn’t eat them, however my b/f had full English and he said was lovely.
I didn’t want to complain as it was a suprise for my b/f. When checking out, the same man was at check in, didn’t ask if there were any problems or if we had a nice stay?
Just felt I spent a lot of money for a dissapointing experience.
