Top Lage, geräumige klimatisierte Zimmer und tolle Muscheln

Familienfreundliches Hotel mit geräumigen Zimmer direkt am Strand. Die Kinder waren auch vom Pool begeistert. Der Strand ist traumhaft schön und als wir im August da waren, war kaum was los und wir konnten am Strand Muschel sammeln. Die Zimmer sind schön groß, auch das Bad ist groß und sauber. Wir waren abends in einem Restaurant in der Nähe, da uns das hauseigene etwas zu teuer war. Personal war freundlich und beim Frühstück gab es auch reichlich Auswahl und jeder wird fündig. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und daher nur eine Nacht da, die hat uns aber gut gefallen. Parkplatz ist bewacht und kostenlos

Great location and units next to the beach - please note riptide

The property is located on an excellent beach with direct and amazing access. The beach has warm water year round and (outside riptide times) it is extremely fun. The entire property is filled with well-maintained gardens and the restaurant boasts a quality (included in our booking) breakfast. Everything is clean, including the rooms, which have excellent heat-pump units that keep them cool and dry. We had a discounted rate but even at full price this would be a very good value and exceptionally better than other nearby accommodation. It is close to Manuel Antonio (book online well in advance to avoid disappointment) and other activities on the beach or nearby. Jaco is also not far and has other activities including boat trips to the West side of Costa Rica.

The beach has riptides that make it unsafe outside certain hours around the high tide. We found it fine and worked (as everyone does) around that schedule, but you should be well aware in advance and plan accordingly. We were unaware of the riptides before coming. The property let us know when we arrived and we planned around the hours we should be visiting. Please note there is no lifeguard so you swim/surf/etc. at your own peril. The pool was relatively unsheltered and hot with insufficient cover for those not swimming. Some staff were excellent while the behaviour or some fluctuated significantly, depending on their perception of tips (we had no problem but others experienced rude behaviour).

The Alma is a wonderful oasis for your family In beautiful Costa Rica.

The staff and location made all the difference at the Alma. Special shout out to Karolina who made our vacation truly magical. The bungalows were private. The beach so beautiful and I crowded. The grounds were pristine. Lovely spa.

The staff was so lovely and helpful. Specifically Freddy - was so thoughtful and kind and some of the best service I’ve ever experienced! The food was fantastic - suggest the pancakes/French toast and any of the fish for dinner. Good spot for someone looking for a relaxing quiet vacation. I went alone but it’s mostly couples and families. Not much in the surrounding areas so best if you’re looking to having quiet time at the hotel / beach. Beach is steps from the room, beautiful weather, landscaping and rooms.

Would’ve preferred a bit more in the surrounding areas but ultimately ending up being nice for a relaxing time.

the splendid architecture which is well made.

there is a contradiction between the huge servings at dinner and the restricted choice at breakfast. only fruit available are on the buffet and the bowls are so small , it is a challenge to fit them in. slice fruit on plates would be so much easier.

pretty, colorful, relaxing, and perfect for couples.

loved the colourful property, the gardens, and the privacy of the rooms. having a gated area made it feel so private! the outdoor shower was lovely! and the location on the beach was amazing.

the poolside furniture could use some updating! The restaurant is pretty expensive for the quality of the food.

Incredible place. Very special.

Amazing place. Bungalows (ours was near pool, not on beach) beautiful well equipped and super spacious. Loved shower. Nice to have outdoor seating area, Very good breakfast. Pools and gardens stunning. Direct access to amazing beach. Everywhere spotless. Towels readily available by pools. Didn't want to leave!

Great weekend

Location, shaded space by the beach, and excelent service are the features we liked most. Installation is great and well maintained. Personnel from before the pandemic was a wonderful surprise. Commitment with the environment is a plus.

Prices are a little high. I would reccomend garbage cans in common areas and at least an extra mirror in the room.

Instant relaxation in paradise

Peaceful location with beautiful views of the ocean and beach. Gorgeous gardens, bar, restaurant and pool areas. Cheeky iguanas popping up around the grounds, scarlet macaw flying over. Superior room (beach bungalow) with quirky layout and comfy colourful furnishings.

Only issue is its remoteness. Taxi to nearest town with facilities (Jaco) is $100 round trip. Some might be disturbed by the full length window giving full view of you in the very Gaudi-esque shower.

Would 100% recommend

Amazing place! I would 100% recommend Alma Pacifica. The pool is awesome (and quiet), the restaurant is great, the staff are friendly and the rooms are epic.

Nothing really - we wished we had stayed there longer, the only thing preventing that is the cost - but this is our problem (still felt good value for money). Only thing was lunch was pretty expensive, but good portions.

We stayed beachfront. Out our back door were two beautiful pools and out our front door was the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant and bar were fabulous, the staff were very polite and accommodating, and the entire facility is painted and joyous tropical colors. Beautiful place!

There seemed to be a few minor maintenance issues, most of which I am chalking up to Covid and inability to get supplies or workers.
