This Hotel was outstanding!! Staff were all very welcoming , this 500yr old place was a delight, beautiful decor, candles and sparkling lights really make it feel cosy and atmospheric especially with the great big fire places. Our room was massive, clean cosy, excellent facilities, filter coffee and brownies to welcome you, lots of TV channels. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Maybe best place we've ever stayed in

Nothing we didn't like, but had to mention, we were woken by fire alarms because someone was vaping.. but just goes to show fire alarms all works perfectly!👍 A bit of historical information about the place to hand would be interesting to read and possibly more old photos of the place through time , just a thought..

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. They had lovely touches like fresh coffee and fresh milk provided. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Staff was incredible. I’ve never been so far from home before. Yet, they made me feel at home the moment I walked through the door.

I didn’t like leaving. My last night in country I planned to stay in London near the airport. Instead I drove 2-1/2 hours across the south so I could spend my last night at the Queens Inn.

Breakfast offered an interesting choice of tasty main dishes, nicely presented. It made a welcome change that butter, jam etc. was not pre-packed. We dined at the inn on one evening: the menu was varied and our choice of dishes again nicely cooked and presented. Not too expensive. The room was well equipped and there were nice touches such as the chocolate brownies and cafetiere. Very clean. Actually enough coathangers!

It almost seems unfair to criticise the size of the room (compact) and with a tendency to get warm during the day in one of the hottest summers we have had since every thought had been given to mitigating deficiencies - there was an effective fan, for example. It made a refreshing change to be able to open windows rather than breathing air-conditioned air as in so many hotels. The fact that the room was just above the outdoor area could have been a nuisance but did not particularly trouble us. The combination of blinds and curtains also ensured both light and privacy.

Friendly attentive staff, clean comfortable accommodation. We’ll placed to access many local attractions.
