Todd's place is spacious, clean and the view cannot be beat. We enjoyed all the modern comforts of home while on our trip to the NE Kingdom to moutain bike.My only advice to future guests is to at least have an all wheel drive vehicle - the drive up to the property is a very steep grade.

If you want to get away and enjoy the peace and beauty of the NEK, this is a great place to do it.

Loved our stay at the Kirby Hideaway. Great open concept kitchen/family room, ample seating in both areas and incredible views that make me want to live there. Steep dirt access road to house which worked find for our vehicles.

We stayed here for the eclipse of 2024. Upon arriving, we were blown away by the incredible view. Then, stepping inside to a spotless kitchen and living room confirmed we made the right choice.
Morning coffee outside around the firepit gave way to a walk and then afternoon of eclipse watching. The kitchen is well-organized and appointed so making meals was a breeze and delight.
Three bedrooms were comfortable and cozy and the nights were quiet.
This is a place not to be missed - with our without the eclipse!

Very clean and accommodating. Incredible views. Cooked steaks on grill and enjoyed the socially favorable setup.

We had 4 adults and 2 small children under 4 in our group. The property was perfect to hangout both inside and out. The fire pit is a must to use and the views are amazing. There was a very cute downtown area with an awesome coffee shop, market, country store and a couple of places to get some drinks/food. We drove to some breweries about 30-40 minutes away. Todd was great with quick communication. We would absolutely stay again!

The breathtaking views were really all we needed to enjoy a long weekend at the Kirby Hideaway! The house is very clean and has everything you need for a getaway. Furniture was comfy and the outside chairs were perfect for use all day. Enjoy the sunrise, sunset, a campfire, dinner on the grill, etc. We will absolutely come back and stay here again. It was hard to leave to be honest! The check in/out process was also so easy.

My boyfriend, our aussie and I stayed here for a week while visiting some family. This place is outstanding, I cannot say enough good things. The cleanliness is extraordinary (we try to bring our pups with us when traveling and this was the cleanest rental by far). The location is top-notch, so quiet and relaxing yet close to trails and amenities. Todd was an extremely responsive host, no issues with anything. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing getaway in VT!

As advertised. Very comfortable and clean. Love that it is in a quiet secluded spot. Just make sure you have an awd or 4x4 vehicle in winter (which the booking tells you) so that you can get up and down the road with ease. Great owner communication!

Property was exactly as listed. Very clean with awesome views.

The driveway leading to the house was very steep, narrow and windy. The cleanness of the property was not great, number of lady bugs throughout the house. At first they seemed harmless, but there were hundreds around (dead and alive). The house did not looked like it was cleaned prior to arriving, cobwebs, mold on shower door, pots and pans not cleaned, etc. Views were very nice and location to Burke Mountain was great. Loved the views and location.

Great location near the ski area and dining but off the beaten path so also quiet and private. Clean and had all the amenities we needed. Everything was smooth and easy.

My family and I spent a couple days here and it was the perfect location to start our New England road trip! It was quiet, private and the bedrooms were much bigger than what the photos depicted. The beds were also super comfy. We enjoyed playing cornhole and tossing a football around while enjoying the beautiful views. Our pups also had a friendly visit from Jack, the neighbors dog. We had a great time and wish we didn’t have to leave! Thanks for the accommodation.

The view!! Wow! Great house, super comfortable beds, very clean and everything we needed. Great fire pit to enjoy the night sky. Lots of privacy, but close to everything we wanted. Biked the NEK trails and took a great hike around Lake Willoughby. Everything was beautiful. We would all definitely stay here again.

The mountain views were so spectacular from the house that we did not want to leave! The location was perfect because it felt so remote but we were only a few minutes from East Burke and right near the Kingdom Trails. The house itself was immaculate and had everything you could want for a comfortable stay . We definitely will be back again. Thank you for having us and our dogs at your Kirby Hideaway!

I was up with two friends to mountain bike. The house is near all of the trails and the view from the house is amazing. The locals are some of the nicest people I have encountered in the country. I would really like to go back with the wife and kids during the summer and check out the glacial lakes nearby that we were told about.

We wanted to visit the kingdom trail system and this was a perfect home base, short drive to the major trailheads and the village of Burke, plus we were able to bring the dogs, great place for them as well, pretty sure we will be back since we barely scratched the suface of the trail system,
really enjoyed our stay

Great communication with owner ..highly recommend.

The house was up an extremely steep and dirt driveway. Every time we drove up I was wondering if my car would be able to make it up the hill. That being said the view at the top was gorgeous. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and playing corn hole. A nice place but a little too remote for us

We spent two nights while mountain biking at Kingdom Trails. Not far from the KT Welcome Center (although due to the huge hill to drive up, I wouldn't recommend riding there unless you're a glutton for punishment). The great thing about the drive up the hill is the view once you get up there. Pretty spectacular. We enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets in the adirondack chairs by the fire pit. Cabin had pretty much everything we needed. Very clean and neat. Only recommendations would be to give the windows a good cleaning. Lots of dead bugs/webs/dirt between the screens and windows which we noticed when opening up the windows. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again for our next trip up.

Beautiful spot to stay & explore!
Great spot to hang outside and enjoy the sunset. Awesome to have use of the grill and outdoor shower to enjoy the summer night views. So many lightning bugs put on a show as well!

Cool mountain retreat
We loved being at the Kirby cabin. The location is gorgeous and you really get that feeling of solitude, privacy and escape. I love that the owner isn't next door or constantly checking in on you. The kitchen is great for cooking, fire pit area excellent for evening hang outs, beds comfy, shower and laundry convenient and refreshing. We had three elder dogs with us and they loved the easy in and out access to the yard and the fact there is no traffic, neighbors or strange dogs to bother them. Windows could use a bit of a wipe down but not a big deal. The place smelled fresh and wonderful when we arrived. All in all as a vacation should be

July 4th week
Worked really well as our home base for a visit with family in the NE Kingdom. The beds are comfortable (and lots of’em). Of course the view. S’mores on fire pit. We’re able to host a dinner. Jack’s cousin’s spent the night one time (their 1st sleep over ever!). Avalon told her Mom it was the perfect 1st time sleepover. Three beds in one room: perfect. Overall a great week. I even got out to ride the Kingdom Trails with my cousin-in-law!

The views from the property and the living room were amazing. We had sunny days and very stormy days but both looked great. Everything you need, other than food, is provided for a long stay. The internet was fast and reliable, in case you need to work while staying there.

So relaxing! We grilled and hung out, played corn hole and laid on the hammock. What a beautiful location and what a nice fire pit. We made s’mores! Also, cute shops and restaurants nearby. Also, don’t miss out seeing Lake Willoughby! The Lake Willoughby Gap was right in front of the cabin view. Loved it!

The home was stocked with a lot of standard items that I really appreciated. Great spot and will definitely rent again in the future.

Second stay, both very pleasant.
Nice house for a ski weekend. We like to have a social area for cooking and eating and this place is nicely set up for that. Comfy beds and great views.

Great weekend in Kirby
Loved this “quiet part” of VT! Skied Burke, snowmobiles in St J and, lots of sledding from the back yard. Great restaurants just down the road. Lots to do and comfy beds with quiet all around come evening. Really enjoyed our stay!
